nice. Hope you mention that there are no male and female in the kingdom, and that passage is likely speaking about the woman in all of us?
Yes I have a wedding dress and I am beautiful. So Jesus said. I believe Him.

To the OP...

It seems you already have your answer in mind...

So why ask us?

Yet I agree with Oz and Wormwood that not all speak in tongues. But you seem to be questioning God's desire for all to speak in tongues by citing this verse:

Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up. - 1 Corinthians 14:5

So I ask you did all of Paul's desires line up with God's desires in Scripture? Is this Paul's desire, or God's desire, or both?

I do not question Paul's authority. Nor do I question the authority of Scripture nor the fact that the Holy Spirit spoke through Paul. My question is who is the source of the desire?

I think we would both agree Paul did not believe himself to be God.
WE aint talking about Prophesy

I know you already know this is my position, but just wanted to be a part of your tally.
Its not about a tally or who right whos wrong it about truth and clarity. and so far the argument against it is as clear as mud.

When one comes seeking the answer they want, taht is not seeking truth. If you really wanted teh truth, you would be at teh feet of Jesus asking Him since H e is the truth, and you will not find it any where else,

I guess if you dont know one should start looking

Joh_6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

That is where the truth is, burt one must seek or one does not find.

Scripture describes the Holy City, New Jerusalem as the bride/the body of Christ in the following. Also take note of the symbolism in Isa 60:18, Isa 62:12 and Isa 65:19 below..

Psa 45:13-14 / Song of Solomon 1:4 All glorious is the princess within her chamber; her gown is interwoven with gold. 14 In embroidered garments she is led to the king; her virgin companions follow her— those brought to be with her.

Isa 54:1-6 “Sing, barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband,” says the LORD. 2 “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. 3 For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities 4 “Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood. 5 For your Maker is your husband— the LORD Almighty is his name— the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth. 6 The LORD will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit— a wife who married young, only to be rejected,” says your God.

Isa 61:10 / Job 29:14 I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Isa 62:4-5 / Isa 54:1-6 TRAVAIL / Isa 60:18 WALLS&GATES / Isa 62:12 CITY / Isa 65:19 CRYING / Hosea 2:19-20 No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah ; for the LORD will take delight in you, and your land will be married. 5 As a young man marries a young woman, so will your Builder marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.

John 3:27-30 To this John replied, “A person can receive only what is given them from heaven. 28You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I am not the Messiah but am sent ahead of him.’ 29The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete. 30He must become greater; I must become less.”

2 Cor 11:2-3 I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. 3But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

Gal 4:26 / Heb 12:22 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.

Eph 5:25-27 / John 3:3-7 / Rom 10:9-10 / 1 Cor 6:10-11 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

Rev 2:26-29 To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations— 27 that one ‘will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery’—just as I have received authority from my Father. 28 I will also give that one the morning star. 29 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Rev 3:12 The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name.

Rev 19:6-10 / Matt 1:20 HOLY SPIRIT CONCEIVED Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: “Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. 7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. 8 Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.” (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.) 9 Then the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” And he added, “These are the true words of God.” 10 At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.”

Rev 21:9-10 / Rev 19:7 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” 10And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.

Please defend that statement biblically! 'The woman in all of us'???????
well, you certainly have a soul, at least so to speak; a soul is the term we use for an aspect of your nature, right? And your "soul" is deemed separate from your "spirit," and these are further deemed "female" and "male" respectively. And there are no male and female in the kingdom. Yet 28...but among all these I have not found a true woman.

i kinda made assumptions here because you are knowledgeable already, so i'm just quoting the high spots, but i guess the point is to assimilate all of these, with the understanding that the Book is intended for our spiritual instruction. You have a male and a female inside you, a Spirit and a Soul, yes. (I've never checked the Scriptural gender of the Body, come to think of it; but it would almost have to be neuter to fit with the symbology...yup)

Iow you can read water or wine. If you interpret the references to "woman" in the Book as directions for the fleshly administration of actual women, then the spiritual implications for self are overlooked, and There are no male or female in the kingdom is denied.

TL;DR, sorry. But i did scan it, and i guess my question is why one would be automatically led to "i have a wedding dress," when the parable speaks more generally. Iow i am not disagreeing, but i am not seeing. When did (you) get this "dress" iow? Or how have you insured that

does not in fact apply? ty

Considering that you just spoke of talking in tongues, was it in teh back yard to God, i figured you would know, Christ is all in all and everywhere, So it matters not where one is, one has acess to Him and God at all times. Sitting at His feet just reuires ones time to give Him time.

We are married to Christ through His blood. Luke 14:26.
