Once a believer has received the Holy Spirit, will He be going to stay in his/her life foever unconditionally, even when the believer is sinning against God?The following scriptures tell us about the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.Eze 36:27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.Joh 14:17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.Rom 8:9 You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.1Cor 3:16 Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?1Joh 2:27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit just as it has taught you, remain in him.Again the following scriptures indicate that the Spirit can depart.Gen 6:3 Then the LORD said, "My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal; his days will be a hundred and twenty years."1Sam 16:14 Now the Spirit of the LORD had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD tormented him.Psa 51:11 Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.What do you think?

How do you know that the Holy Spirit left us?And how do we know why, if the HS does nottell us why. Shouldn't the HS dwell in sinners more to makea change in them rather than in a Holy person? So why do they say, you quenched the Holy Spirit, if the HS was meant to teach, guideand save us?

The scriptures you quoted about the Holy Spirit leaving you were old Testament. The Holy Spirit Move different in the Old Testament. Now the Holy Spirit lives within us and will never leave or forsake us.

So there is a point in time when the Holy Spirit enters you. Is that what you mean also?

Hebrews 13:5 - Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.Remember, the problem is not that God will leave thee. The problem is man rejecting God after he accepts Christ as Saviour.JagLovest thou in Christ Yahshua, Lord and Saviour of the world.

Hi, If so could you kindly tell us what these verses mean?1 Thessalonians 5:19 Quench not the SpiritThose of us, who refuse to obey God’s Word, may be considered as rebellious. God says in Isaiah 63:10, But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them

Let me ask you a question? If we are born of the spirit, How are we unborn? Even though I rebel against my mother and father I will always be there child. I will lose close fellowship with them. But it will not change the fact that they love me and I will always be there child.

Can you logically tell me what do you mean by, 'born of God'. We are trying to establish the Spirit. How can you substantiate that with a super natural answer. If we can discuss with how you and I can relate to this matter without any super natural backing then it would be surely worth to discuss as both of us will be en richened by our exercise. Be Blessed Always

My question was 'Born of God' and not dwelling of the spirit as you had used this term to substantiate your point first. You wrote,
"setfree Let me ask you a question? If we are born of the spirit, How are we unborn? Even though I rebel against my mother and father I will always be there child. I will lose close fellowship with them. But it will not change the fact that they love me and I will always be there child."

Since there is only one true God, 1 Jn. 5:1 says Whosoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. Verse 7- For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one. Bless ya, btw-

Yes I know and I agree with the scripture. What I am trying to say is that, if we are trying to establish the color of your eyes as green, we cannot start the process by saying, 'the color of your eyes is green'. We have to start to establish that is is green apart from the fact that it is green to you and me, but not to one who is color blind or for that matter even blind. What I want is stronger evidence to witness to the common man and convince him/her about my faith and why I chose this faith.Sorry, but I am on the road to do this and need all the help I can get. I do not want to go around telling people the health & wealth pulpit teachings and I do not wish to treat God as a 'genie in the lamp'.Be Blessed As Always

So what we are trying to establish is does the Holy Spirit leave you once he dwells you, correct?
