Isaiah 49:8-13 The Lord says: At the time of My favour, I will answer you, on the Day of Deliverance I will come to your aid. Your destiny is to be a light to the nations and you will restore the Land. Those in exile will go free, they will find a good Land to live in. My people will neither hunger or thirst, the sun will not distress them. I will guide them along level pathways, My people – coming from the North, the West and the South lands. Shout for joy, sing songs of triumph, for the Lord has comforted His people and has pity on them, in their distress.

Hosea 2:14-23 Now, I shall call My people and lead them into an empty place. I will encourage and strengthen them, there the Land will be restored, its vineyards and pastures. They will respond with thanksgiving and joy, calling Me “Husband”, as I will betroth Myself to them forever. I will tame the wild beasts and sweep all weapons of war off the face of the earth, so My people can live without fear. The Land will be productive and My righteous people will be My new sowing in My Holy Land. I will say: “You are My people”. They will say: “You are our God”. Romans 9:24-26

Isaiah 12:1-4 On that Day, we will praise You, though You were angry with us, now You comfort us. We are confident and unafraid. The Lord is our Deliverer, our refuge and defence. With joy, we will give thanks to Him for what He had done for us.

Zephaniah 3:19-20 When that time comes I shall deal with all those who oppress you. I shall rescue the lost and gather the dispersed, I shall win for My people renown from all the world. [The second Exodus; of every true Christian, Isaiah 66:18-21]

Isaiah 30:26-30 The sun will shine with seven times its normal strength, on the Day the Lord will save His people. He comes from afar, His anger blazing and His doom heavy. Like a devouring fire, He sieves out the nations for destruction.

Isaiah 66:16The Lord will judge with fire, His sword will test all mankind, many will die.

Habakkuk 3:13-14 You go out to save Your people, You shatter the wicked, they are swept away. [The Judgement of fire, prophesied over 70 times, the Sixth Seal Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath]

Psalm 27:11-13 Teach me Your ways, do not give me up to enemies. Lead me by a level path, for I know that I will see the great deeds of God in the Land of the living

Psalm 37:39-40 Deliverance for the righteous comes from the Lord, He is their refuge in times of trouble. He will help and deliver them, keep them safe from their enemies, because they seek shelter in Him.

Jeremiah 31:2-3 At that time, I shall be the God of all the Israelites [Christians; Galatians 6:16] and they will be My people – a people that have escaped the sword and found favour in the desert. The Lord protected them, from afar He appeared to them, [2 Thess 1:10] He maintains His unfailing love for them, as from times past. [Not the Return, as yet]

Isaiah 14:32 The answer for the messengers is: The Lord has established Zion and in the Land there is a refuge for His people. [Every righteous Christian, Rev 5:9-10]

1 Peter 4:7-19 The end of the age is upon us, therefore we must lead righteous lives. Use the gifts you have in service to others. Do not be terrified by the fiery ordeal, which comes to test everyone, judgement is coming, those who continue in their faith and entrust their souls to Him – their Maker will not fail them.

Good scriptures used, may I just add one more as the topic mentions, "The Day of our Deliverance", Joel 2:32 "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call".

This message in Joel is repeated by Peter in Acts 2:19-21 I will show signs in the sky and on the earth; blood, smoke and fire. The sun will go dark and the moon will glow blood red before the terrible Day of the Lord arrives. Everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord on that Day, shall be saved.
So we know that Deliverance for the Lord's people comes during the Day the Lord judges and punishes the nations. As Isaiah 30:26, Isaiah 63:6, Isaiah 52:10, Malachi 4:1-3, Ezekiel 34:12, +

GINOLJC, true. I'm of the belief that there are more that one "day" of the Lord, depending on the event. as in his parousia or coming. I'm of the belief that his first parousia or coming, (in the flesh), with it's culmination of his (natural) death on the cross, fulfilled this day of the Lord as we mention in Joel, 2:30 & 31. and because of that completion or, time no more, (Rev.10:6) the war ended, or the enmity between the serpent seed and the woman seed) and ushered in the age of GRACE. which was also foretold in Joel, the same chapter, verses 28 & 29. Let me make myself clear here on this no more time. no more time dose not mean END OF TIME, it just that time of something just ran out or was completed. time ran out at the cross for sin, which God put an end to, we're now in a GRACE period, how long is this GRACE period only the Father knows. as with the first parousia there was signs, (notably, the coming of Elijah first, John the baptist, one of the two witness), for example. just as our Lord said, signs will be given , "but the END IS NOT YET" at his second coming, which I believe is two fold. first in Spirit, and in flesh, glorified. the pouring out of God on his people people was as we said in Act chapter 2 was that fulfillment in Joel 2:28 & 29 . I'm of the belief, just me, ok, that there are at two parousia of God in the flesh. the first to "DELIVER" us first from our sins, which he did. and gave us a earnest down payment, a surety, (the Holy Spirit), of what is to be in the next age to come. which eye have not seen, nor ear have heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. so we're delivered now with PROMISE of it's actually happening when he returns in his glorified body for all to see. and we will be delivered once and for all times and we will be with the Lord "FOREVER"

Psalm 40:4-11 Happy is the one who puts his trust in the Lord and keeps away from arrogant and deceitful people.
Say to the Lord: Here I am, my desire is to do Your will. Your Law is in my heart and I proclaim God’s faithfulness and His saving power to all the congregation. You Lord, will not withhold Your tender care for me, may Your love and truth forever keep me safe.

Psalm 40:12-17 Now Lord, we are poor and needy, troubles and misfortune assail us from every side and courage fails us. Let all those who seek our downfall be turned back in disgrace. Let all those who think they have got the upper hand, be confounded and put to shame. But let all who seek the truth be jubilant and rejoice in Your saving power, we will forever cry: All glory to the Lord!

Psalm 43:1-5 Uphold our cause, O God, give judgement for Your people against the godless nations, rescue us from those liars and evil men. For we look to You for refuge, why must we wait so long; oppressed by our foes?
Send out Your light and truth to guide us, then we will come to the holy Land, to the place of Your altar and we shall praise our Redeemer with gladsome songs. We will wait patiently for Your deliverance, our Lord and Saviour. Ref: REB.

Every person who desires to do the Lord's will, all those who seek the truth, that is: every true Christian, will be delivered and guided into the holy Land, soon after the Lord's Day of wrath has cleansed it. Jeremiah 31:8-9

Our Hope and our Destiny:

The Prophetic Word tells us how the Lord will save and protect His people during His terrible Day of wrath, the soon to happen Sixth Seal judgement of the nations.
Then we will be gathered and will migrate into all of the holy Land. Psalms 107, Ezekiel 34:11-16 and Isaiah 66:18b-21, Isaiah 35:1-10 are some of the best prophesies about this. We Christians are the Lord's people, His chosen; John 15:18, 1 Peter 2:8-10, and we are the people; nation, who bear the proper fruit. Matthew 21:43. We will, at last; be His witnesses, Isaiah 43:10 and His Light to the nations. Isaiah 49:8, Acts 13:47
So, basically there is no need for anyone, other than the 2 Witnesses to go to heaven, Rev 11:12 The whole idea of a rapture removal of Christians to heaven, is not part of God's plan for His people. Therefore, a body change is not necessary or logical, before the final wrap up and then all those whose names are written in the Book of Life, will receive immortality and be with God for Eternity, when God and therefore: heaven will be on earth. Rev 21:1-4

2 Chronicles 7:14 If My people, whom I have named My own, submit and pray to Me, seek Me and turn back from their evil ways, then I shall hear from heaven, forgive their sins and restore their Land.
The Lord’s people: those who believe in Him and keep His Commandments. Eph. 2:11-18

Psalms 44:1-3 Lord: we have heard for ourselves, we read how our forefathers were planted in the holy Land and of the great deeds You did in their time. How You helped them drive out the heathen nations and settle them into their inheritance. It wasn’t just our ancestor’s military prowess that won them the Land, but by Your Right hand, Your strong arm and the light of Your Presence: such was Your favour to them.

Psalms 44:9-23 Yet, You have rejected and humbled us and no longer support us in our battles. You have made us give ground and our enemies have plundered us at will. We are like sheep given up to the slaughterer. You sold Your people for nothing and scattered us among the world, now we bear our disgrace and the enemy takes his revenge.

Though all this has befallen us, we do not forget our Lord and Maker and we have not been false to the Covenant, our hearts have not been unfaithful. Had we forgotten the Name of our God and prayed to alien gods, You would have known; for You know the secrets of everyone.
It is Christians, Jew and Gentile, who are scattered around the world and who do not forget their Maker.

Psalms 44:4-8 Lord, You are our King, command victory for Jacob. By Your help, we will throw back our enemies, in Your Name our attackers will be trampled down. Our trust is not in strength, nor will victory be won by our weapons, for You are our Deliverer. You put confusion into our foes; their evil plans will recoil upon them.
The Lord will destroy His enemies on His terrible Day of wrath. We must trust in His protection on that Day.

Psalms 44:23-26 Rouse Yourself Lord, why do You sleep? Awake, do not reject us forever. Why do You hide Your face, ignoring our misery and suffering, for we are bereft and brought low. Arise now and save Your people, for Your loves sake deliver us.
In God we have gloried all day long and we shall praise Your Name forever!

The earth is a manifestation only...a place of captives, cast down, who must be born [again] out of the world. His will being done on earth as it is in heaven...is not for the salvation (saving or renewing) of the earth - but is to burnt up with fire.

Kept from the hour of Trial

How do Revelation 3:10 and 1 Thessalonians 5:9 say we are to be ‘kept from the hour of trial’ and ‘not destined for retribution’?

They are in the context of: Hold on to what you have, [your faith] let no one rob you of your crown. [your reward] Keep sober, armed with faith and love…..continue to encourage one another.

When we examine the Greek word ‘peirasmos’, translated as ‘trial’ in Rev. 3, we see it doesn’t match with ‘thlipsis’, used in Matthew 24:21; which refers to the Great Tribulation. 1 Thess. 5 is in the context of a sudden destruction the Lord is going to send upon the ungodly peoples. We should not be in the dark about it, knowing what it will be and be prepared for it, spiritually and physically.

For those who stand firm in faith and love, there are two possibilities. One is a rapture removal to heaven, the other is the Lord’s protection during that time of trouble.

I discount the rapture because such a thing as a general removal of the Lord’s people has never happened before, the Israelites and now Christians have always had to face attacks, persecution and disasters. God doesn’t change, Malachi 3:6, and what happened in the past was symbolic and examples for us, upon whom the end of the age is coming: 1 Corinthians 10:6 Besides the fact that a mass rapture to heaven in the end times, is nowhere prophesied or found in the Bible.

Protection does have a precedent; the three men in the furnace, Daniel 3:19-27 But scriptures like Psalms 23 and Isaiah 43:2 ….walk thru fire and you will not be scorched…. plus over 30 other prophesies assuring safety and protection through what is to come. Jesus prayed for this in John 17:15 and promises like; Zephaniah 2:3, 2 Peter 2:9, Psalms 91:1-16, Jeremiah 17:7-8, Isaiah 26:20 are a great comfort and support when trouble strikes.

It’s simple, really; we are plainly told what to do on the terrible Day of the Lord: Call upon the Name of the Lord and you will be saved. Joel 2:32, Acts 2:21
