What is "born again?"John 3:3 In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again” John 3:5 Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.” John 1:12-13 Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. 1 John 4:7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 1 Peter 1:23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! Ephesians 4:1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.1 Thessalonians 2:10-12 You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, Romans 6:4 We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. Ephesians 4:22-24 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. 1 John 3:9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in Him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. 1 John 5:4-5 For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.Born again is not the "title". It is the "character". Spiritual characters. Because it is "born of the Spirit".What are Spiritual characters?Galatians 5:22-23But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. If a Christian does not have the above spiritual fruit, spiritual character, he/she is not born again.
