What ????? I don't get it, sorry... I can't manifest Christ, He manifests as He wills, and surely we of all people cannot be concerned with what the world ( all the people in it ) will do or not. I can't quote chapter and verse but i do know it says :" Be not careful even for your life.......(more but perhaps not relevant ), trust in Him and when the time comes to leave, you've got it made....:)
I think what you may be getting at is manifesting Christs Love, in what we do to serve, not manifesting Him, only He can choose when to manifest....

We can't pass on the truth until we ourselves KNOW it, and there is a big difference between knowing something about something, and actually KNOWING it, would you agree with that ?
"he who says he knows anything does not yet know as he ought"

but yes, i categorically agree

google seems to be a better search engine than most online Bible ones, if you can remember a key phrase, or even the general intent of a passage, followed by "Bible."
really? Thanks

He's right. With Google, you have the world at your fingertips.

I have to confess, that's how I find most of the scripture I post. I know what verses I want to post, I just don't know exactly where they're located. It's an invaluable tool once you learn how to use it.

Romans 8 says we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Romans 8:36 KJV
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Richard, the very chapter which you use to say that children of God aren't sheep never says that and in fact says just the opposite.

The Jews accounted Gentiles as dogs. Does that mean we are dogs?

God and Paul accounted us as sheep. Are you saying we should discount what they are saying?

ah, well, maybe we are just having a semantics debate now, dunno; but i am the Body of Christ, ergo i can manifest the Spirit, or not, and it seems to depend upon how self-centered my next interaction is, because of course i still like filet mignon, still gotta eat, gotta sleep...somewhere tonight, lol, etc.

We are Christ's Body here on earth, and here is where the "Jesus has already done everything that He needs to do" part should be inserted imo; otherwise we become just a bunch of believers waiting for some spectacular future event, or waiting to die to be "with the Lord."

God's will is that we manifest the Spirit, imo;

43Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation producing its fruit.

manifesting just means producing, basically.

it can also be a genuine pain once you find a relatively obscure translation of a certain passage that you like, because Google can't seem to find those too easy for whatever reason. Better write em down!

Remarkable, had no idea. Knowing me, I may have a little trouble on how to use it. I have a most wonderful friend who knows the scriptures much much better than I do, and he is always kind enough to help me when I struggle. I do have a concordance, but can hardly read the tiny lettering anymore.... Thanks much though :)

Ahh, now I am with you. yeah I wrote that as 'reflecting' Him. I thought you meant like an actual manifestation, as in when people see a spirit/ghost manifesting ( not that Jesus is a ghost, far from it ), or His voice.....:)

Some people think it's cheating if you use search engines to search for scriptures. I see it as no different than asking the person next to you.

There's a site called Bible Hub that I use all the time. It gives the verse I was searching for and the cross references for that verse.

Here's an example of "the Lord searches the heart": Jeremiah 17:10 "I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve."

Check it out and tell me what you think.

I don't hold it against anyone using search engines an I use them myself. I imagine Edgar Allen Poe used dictionaries once in a while....

I encourage folks to continue reading and not just rely on search engines though..search engines work better if you know what you are looking for.
