I've worked with people who are low income, chronically mentally ill, and homeless for 20 years, which has involved walking through dangerous neighborhoods and dealing with angry, unstable people. I have never been assualted or even threatened. Never.

You're confused because you don't want to know.
What is it you say I don't want to know? That it isn't only whites who are racists? I did cover that......But of course you are correct, I have not tried to live in America, but Americans haven't got the monopoly on racism/supremacy, surely you are aware of that ? I had really hoped to not have any more 'adversaries' on this forum than the couple already revealed, so I hope you can show just a little patience with me, and help me to fully understand what it is that I must have obviously missed somewhere in this thread, please.... Kindest thoughts Pia

You yourself said you didn't want to answer the questions I asked because you just didn't want to get into it. So I would say go back and consider those and the questions I asked aspen which he would not answer. No I am not an adversary, but this subject will bring out the worst in people because we have been led and taught that it is wrong. Did evil man create the races? Who did? Wasn't it God? Why?

Concerning the NAACP in this country, and Affirmative Action, I realize you won't know much on them. The NAACP is a black organization for the benefit and good of the black people. So, shouldn't it be called racist. But it's not. But the NAAWP for white people was started and it is called a racist organization. But what is the difference? One is white, one is black. But only one is racist. The same will be true with the Mexicans also. They have their Mexican political organizations and they are not considered racist. It is only if you create a white organization, that it is labeled racist.

At first the blacks wanted freedom from slavery. Then, equal rights. Then Affirmative Action. Affirmative Action is not equal. It is preferential treatment given to blacks and minorities on the basis of race. This is used in the work places and in the college acceptance programs. Whites can have a better resume or better grades and will not be allowed to get into the work or school because Affirmative Action demands that certain amount of minorities must be allowed even though they don't have the grades. It is racist to the core. And is challenged at times, but it still exists.

When 'black lives matter' marches you don't hear people screaming what a racist parade. And the same people who marched in those are the same who refuse to allow the white people to march peacefully calling them racists and evil. Just like the left, which is where most minorities will vote, demonizes Trump and those who voted for him as evil. So, they now will demonize those who voted for Trump as racists, because it was mostly white people who voted for him. You see, as a white person unless you're now a leftist liberal democrat, you are a racist. Which is why aspen started this thread. A white racist organization is unacceptable. But a black one is.

And on, and on, you could go.

Now I am more in 'sinc' with what you were getting at, and from what you write, it's absolutely true, racism works both ways, and it certainly shouldn't be the way you describe, because that is STILL racism, but I'm fairly certain I made a point of saying that it's the same here in Oz. I have met people from the Indigenous people here who have treated me like a piece of cow dung, regardless of how well I have tried to treat them, but most I've met, have been wonderful people and I love hearing about other cultures, probably because I was brought up in Europe, and back then we all traveled a fair bit all over Europe and we celebrated our differences and embraced them, instead of using it as an excuse to hate. I don't believe that it is like that anymore though :( In my first post to you on this subject, I said I don't understand racism, I don't understand why people see some people as beneath them for reasons of the color of their skin, and I don't think I ever will.
As far as getting into all the politics, that I have no desire to waste my time on, I think that they're all power mad.
Thank you for your patience :)

@Stranger I liked your post here, it was very calm and you laid it out nice and clearly.
We see it here , very clearly , in Canada. Not so much with black, but with the immigrants.
White's get fined over and over for ' hate speaking ' , but the immigrant can stand on their hind legs and say just what they like....(about us and our country) and no one stops them at all or fines them...law enforcers are told to leave them alone.
Non-whites are empowered now!
In Europe, we've all seen the videos where the police actually turn their backs, they are afraid to do anything to help in a situation.
Some people who have no intention of being racist are almost pushed into it through experiences. One of my son-in -laws lives in the States. He owns quite a few rental houses. He has now found that it cost too much to rent to non-whites of any origin. He has tried it many times , but when they leave it takes him many $$$ to get the place back up to scratch before he can rent it out again.
This was not his 'choice' ..he is not racist...but he has now been forced into this decision...he now chooses who he rents to...white skinned people!!

The attitude and atmosphere is growing strong....that the non-whites feel that they are now 'owed' ....they feel entitled.
I do still feel that a lot of it is hype and kept in the headlines by the media.

My ( States side) daughter has mentioned , just how many black men she has seen
going up to Cops , patting them and telling them that they don't envy them, and they are behind them. They chat and laugh together.
Obviously some people just enjoy throwing 'gas on the fire!!'
I'm sure George Sorus pays for much of it...,the gas, the fires, the people, the violence, and the media.

I am still not convinced that the issues we see ,are really the issue at hand. Divide and conquer has always worked.
Most of our countries are now divided. And we have fallen for it..and take our place either one side or the other!! Just as planned.
Shall I say George Sorus one more time!
It's the game of the elites, the big-boys, and we are all pawns in the game....on both sides of the fence.

Well.....the fact that we are just noticing what it feels like to not have laws in our favor sort of proves white privilege, right? I mean we are so used to not feeling competition from minority groups and the pressure to hold back opinions, while other groups get more freedom to express generations worth of anger......personally, I think it is uncomfortable at times, but I am willing to be uncomfortable.

Men have already been confronted with a similar issue, which is uncomfortable - women entering the workforce and the changes in behavior that had to occur to facilitate a safer environment. Men felt stifled and resented having to share power - women are still paid less for the same work as men in the highest positions. I am willing to be uncomfortable

The days of 'Mad Men' are over.

A good deal of racism is ether taught through growing up in a family that it already exists, which I did experience as a youth, others are persuaded, by people they want to identify with or join in with, and some starts out with situations that are unpleasant with others of different Races, which I have also experienced! but with the ability to reason! anyone can overcome Racism with simple Logic, With God is anything Impossible. this is most disturbing when so called Christians project Racism!!!

I always loved my mother, yet I remember clearly that I had unspoken questions when she told me to remember that all of her grandfather's fought for the Confederacy during the Civil War and we should say anything against them.

She reacted strangely when we visited her place of work with some children my wife was watching for a a good Christian neighbor that day. The children were black or afro-American or negro. My mother taught me a little rhyme when I was very young in order to make choices. It went like this:

"Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, Catch a ______ by the toe. If he hollers, make him pay, fifty dollars every day".

I won't spell out the word she used to fill in the blank. While I was born in Oklahoma, from my earliest remembrance, I lived in a small California town where at the time there were no black people at all. I was in the 7th grade [about 12 years old] when the very first black family moved into our small community. Can anyone understand why I did not know how to act? I knew what my mother, who had grown up in a segregated Oklahoma told me and of course what I saw in the movies.

After I was married, it was a young black family that lived before God as no one I had ever known had done before that drew us to God. I was 32 years of age at the time [1976]

So then where does racism come from...?

Appreciate your post. Indeed this problem is not just the U.S. It is everywhere white people live. Every country where white people have established a civilization and government are now under siege by minorities. They are either all trying to get here, or they are trying to take over here. They should ask themselves if the white people are so bad, and they are so good, why are they trying to come here? But that is another question the leftist racists will refuse to answer. Because the answer is to stark for them to deal with.

Yet, the white people are racists for wanting to maintain their way of life, those who do want to maintain their way of life.

I believe the real issue is this. We have been taught that race shouldn't matter. But it does matter. And now our countries are living proof that it matters. But our governments are never going to say they were wrong, because governments don't like to do that. They will keep pushing it until it explodes. And explode it will.

If God did not create the races, who did? Please don't say 'climate'. When God created and chose the Jews especially for His earthly people, was that not a racist decision? Are we not programmed, taught, that to have an affinity towards ones own race is wrong?

Well, these races in Israel are included in their religion. Which makes them proselytes. So, just like them we who are Christian recognize other Christians no matter what race they be. That doesn't mean my race is not overlooked by the world. And it doens't mean I overlook it when dealing with things in the world.

Ask yourself where the races come from.

Make yourself a student of that War between the States and you will see why your mother was proud of her heritiage. That is the same heritiage that the blacks and minorities and liberal left are wanting to still destroy today.

I don't feel like I belong here either. But I am here. And must function to the best of my ability as to where God has placed me. I do not believe that we as believers are to ignore our role in the world. Go to my post #107 and consider those questions.

You will not get an argument from me on that. I understand the problem and it existed not only on the side of the south. The northern states gave more superficial freedom, but they certainly did not give equality treatment under law to the former slaves. But, slavery was hardly the only issue at stake. I understand that. My mother's attitude toward blacks in the 1940's through 1970's was mild compared with the attitudes of many others I knew. I could tell some stories on that on person experiences, but I won't.

The only good answer for anyone that will really be lasting and meaningful as I see it is in God. I guess I knew that even before I met that black Christian family so many years ago. My wife and I were really hungry...

"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." Matt 5:6
