Oddly, Mother means confirmation. Comfort. Who is our spiritual mother that gave us birth out of her womb, and feeds us milk of the breast? I believe His word tells us who our spiritual mother is...the Spirit. The comforter. Mother; neither male or female; but rather both. Spirit. I realize that sounds insane but: to be born of spirit, born from above; doesn't there have to be seed and a womb? In no way am I suggesting anything to be taken away from the Lord born a man (flesh) into the world, died and resurrected, tearing the veil seperating the Father and us. And I am not suggesting God is woman: I am suggesting mother and father are within God, one spirit; womb and seed; comfort and discipline. What makes Zion, that spiritual city that will come down not of this world: the spirit of the LORD.

Psalm 113:9 [9] He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord .

Song of Songs 8:1 KJV

[1] O that thou wert as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! when I should find thee without (without the camp, unclean), I would kiss thee(with a holy kiss); yea, I should not be despised.

Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach. For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. Hebrews 13: 13-14

Proverbs 1:7-8 KJV

[7] The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. [8] My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

Proverbs 10:1 KJV

[1] The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.

Do not quench or grieve the spirit.

Proverbs 20:20 KJV

[20] Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.

Proverbs 30:11-12 KJV

[11] There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. [12] There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.

Proverbs 30:17 KJV

[17] The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.

Song of Songs 1:6-8 KJV

[6] Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept. [7] Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions? [8] If thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherds' tents.

Song of Songs 6:9 KJV

[9] My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her; yea , the queens and the concubines, and they praised her.

Song of Songs 8:5 KJV

[5] Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth that bare thee.

Isaiah 49:1-3 KJV

[1] Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The Lord hath called me from the womb; from the bowels (compassion) of my mother hath he made mention of my name. [2] And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me; [3] And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.

Isaiah 50:1-2 KJV

[1] Thus saith the Lord , Where is the bill of your mother's divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away. [2] Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.

Christ dries the sea, and rather brings the wilderness a river: "After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth." John 19: 28-29

Isaiah 66:7-13 KJV

[7] Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. [8] Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed (the mother of the dauther), she brought forth her children. [9] Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the Lord : shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb ? saith thy God. [10] Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her: [11] That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory. [12] For thus saith the Lord , Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees. [13] As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

Ezekiel 16:43-44 KJV

[43] Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all these things ; behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord God : and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations. [44] Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter. (A daughter of a harlot, Or the daughter of Zion) (Which are you?)

Ezekiel 23:1-3 KJV

[1] The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying, [2] Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother: [3] And they committed whoredoms in Egypt; they committed whoredoms in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there they bruised the teats of their virginity.
Again, daughters of a harlot.

Song of Songs 3:11 KJV

[11] Go forth, O ye daughters of Zion, and behold king Solomon with the crown wherewith his mother crowned him in the day of his espousals, and in the day of the gladness of his heart.

Deuteronomy 33:19 KJV

[19] They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.

Whose breast do we suck?

Deuteronomy 32:12-13 KJV

[12] So the Lord alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him. [13] He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;

Isaiah 60:16 KJV

[16] Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

The Mother is responsible for weaning the child:

1 Samuel 1:22-24 KJV

[22] But Hannah went not up; for she said unto her husband, I will not go up until the child be weaned, and then I will bring him, that he may appear before the Lord , and there abide for ever. [23] And Elkanah her husband said unto her, Do what seemeth thee good; tarry until thou have weaned him; only the Lord establish his word. So the woman abode, and gave her son suck until she weaned him. [24] And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine, and brought him unto the house of the Lord in Shiloh: and the child was young.

Isaiah 49:14-16 KJV

[14] But Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. [15] Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. [16] Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

Job 3:12 KJV

[12] Why did the knees prevent me? or why the breasts that I should suck?

Psalm 8:2-4 KJV

[2] Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. [3] When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; [4] What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

Matthew 21:16 KJV

[16] And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

Luke 23:27-32 KJV

[27] And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him. [28] But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children. [29] For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck. [30] Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us. [31] For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry? [32] And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.

Luke 21:23-24 KJV

[23] But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. [24] And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Matthew 12:20 KJV

[20] A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

1 Thessalonians 5:19 KJV

[19] Quench not the Spirit.

A son must leave mother and father and cleave to his wife. That is what Christ did on the cross. He separated from mother and father, and cleaved to His wife.

"Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then he saith to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst."
