) and one of the believes they have is that Jesus shows himself physically in the old testament.22And he rose up that night, and took his two wives, and his two womenservants, and his eleven sons, and passed over the ford Jabbok. 23And he took them, and sent them over the brook, and sent over that he had. 24And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. 25And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. 26And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. 27And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. 28And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. 29And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. 30And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved. ( genesis 32 24-30)now notice three things here1. Most of us believe that jacob wrestled with an angel. But it doesn't say angel it says man. everywhere else where an angel is present the bible clearly indicates that it is an angel. Could it be possible that this isn't an angel.2. After the fight is over this man says something interesting "for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed." did you catch that the man just said that Jacob just wrestled with God. what man was fully man and fully God?? only Jesus Christ. and another point, God likes to rename people to point out the purpose, abram into abraham, Simon into Peter ect.3. "And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved" Jacob himself admits that he had seen God face to face. He also proclaims that his life is preserved. Jesus preserved our eternal life on the cross. thoughts Your brother in christRyan Fitz

I would agree with you, also because Jesus said no one has seen the Father or heard his voice. I believe that not only did he wrestle, but it was him who spoke to Moses and Abraham. Jesus, God the SonJohn 5:37And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.Who did Moses speak to face to face (Exodus 33:11)? And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: “For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved” (Gen. 32:30).And Manoah said to his wife, “We shall surely die, because we have seen God!” (Judges 13:22).So the LORD became angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned from the LORD God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice (1 Kings 11:9).

Yes, I believe that was Christ. Anytime the words "Angel of the Lord" are used I believe that is Christ. Also, Melchisedec is Christ.Melke means king....zadok (sedec) mean the upright, the elect.....Melcheisedec is king of the elect.Genesis 14:17 And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that wre with him, at the valley of Saveh, which is the king's dale.18.And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the Most High God. (He is the Bread, He is the Wine, He is the Priest of the Most High God.)19.And he blessed him, and said,"Blessed be Abram of the Most High God, possessor of heaven and earth:20.And blessed be the Most High God, Which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.)Hebrews 7:1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;2.To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all: first being by interpretation king of righteousness, and after that also king of Salem, which is, King of peace; (We tithe our tenth today to the King of peace)3.Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. (Before He was born into his flesh body He was "without father, without mother, without descent, etc.)He walked on this earth from the beginning, long before He came in the body of man........Whirlwind

Think the story of Jacob could be understood as an angel representing the Son of God. Find it difficult to imagine Jacob prevailing against God in a wrestling match such that God had to cause Jacob's thigh to whither in order to turn the match. Also Seems according to Osee that God gave Jacob the strength to make the match fair in the first place.Hosea12:3-4He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God: Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him [in] Bethel, and there he spake with us;
