I agree that this is a Satan metaphor but one thing stuck me earlier that makes me think you are on the right track here look at the root word From the root wordLavah: A verb1) to join, be joineda) (Qal) to join, be joined, attend
cool.gif
(Niphal) to join oneself to, be joined unto2) to borrow, lenda) (Qal) to borrow
cool.gif
(Hiphil) to cause to borrow, lend toThis could be alluding to just what you are saying the preachers teachers that are joined to Satan i.e. false doctrines lies ect. To borrow from truth and twist it to liesPerhaps this is why when Satan is called the dragon its a different word one is applied to Satan himself and Leviathan is referring to those (pieces) with him.

(Leviathan;31909)
:christianflag:I have been very interested in the Leviathan ever since reading the passages in Job describing it in detail. I agree with what christchild said in the thread about the dinosaur described by Job; this simply has to be a dragon? It specifically states that it breathes fire. I have heave heard that some portray the great leviathan as a hippo or a whale, but the description given by Job makes me think that those believers havent looked far enough into the description to be making suggestions of ehat it may have been. i think that we as humans have looked at dragons as fairy tale creatures for so long that we just automatically assume that when it says "fire comes from its mouth" that we should assume it is referring to something else. I am convinced that this is a sea dragon that, of course, was killed. Being the only one that god created (because god destroyed the leviathans mate) it died out.:christianflag:
No, there was no such beast. Man and Dinosaurs did not live at the same time. It's all a metaphor.

The Leviathan wasnt a dinosaur, and a simple fact to prove it is that he is a dragon. Last time i checked there were no dinosaurs that breathed fire. With all the discussion above thi post i believe we can assume he is both a actual creature and a metaphor.
