Sorry...the 'Isles' reference is to the Grecian Isles and Crete, and that 'Gog' was the residue of the four Kings deriving from Alexander...completely over-run by Rome, as was all of Syria.
'Isles' are a continuous reference to those nations in the isles that surround the Mediterranean Sea...nations that are not in the specific area that was under the reigns of Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, and Greece...else we would have to include every isle everywhere as part of Gog and Magog, and they are not.
And why everyone expects the 'isles' to be judged and burned out instead of those nations that surround Israel...that are Gog and Magog...is mystifying to me. It reminds me of every liberal idiot that is beating up himself for being of European blood simply because they feel so sorry for the non-Europeans. In every reference to the 'Isles' - the 'Isles' themselves are not being judged, but people in them...mostly Gog and his Brothers, Meshekh and Tuval, all sons of Japheth, who are the servants of Shem by the decreee of G-d... those people in these specific family groups that persecute Israel.
