I don't collect anything...wish I did..then the family would know what to buy me for birthdays.

I love gardening..even weeding...so much so I totally forget to eat or drink...I can stay out there for hours! :)

I grew up collecting postage stamps from about 8 years old [born in 1943]. Although I stopped actively collecting new stamp several years ago, I am now actively sorting them out to sell. I still have well in excess of 100,000 stamps so it will be a while before they are gone, perhaps not before my death. I started selling steadily about 6-7 years ago. I always enjoyed going through them and I still do although now it is a process of getting rid of rather than gathering in...

I did too. My uncle had actually given me a German stamp from Hitlers day which had a mark on it which made it valuable, but I kind of got tricked into giving it to another family member...took the wind out of my sails, and it never again was the pleasure it had been.....All the best of luck sorting through them all......

Yes how much fun is it, I like bashing around on the dirt with the mountain bike, great fun, I bought a Fuji Nevada last year, and it goes great, can't wait to try out some of the dirt rds, fire tracks and invade some 4x4 tracks around the other house, plenty of areas to try out on the mountain bike around there. I haven't riden for a few months though, the best I have done is 26 kilometres hahahah, which probably doesn't sound like much to you, but if I stuck at it for longer, I could probably beat that. I live in a small mountain range hilly forest area, so a lot of riding up and down around here, the downhills are very rewarding and make cycling up the hills in the ranges worth it and much more enjoyable, Bikes, bikes, bikes, great fun :D

ha, i've rarely had so much fun whilst also being so bloody in my life, as when riding down a goat trail that took you all morning to get to the top of :)

Me, like being outside, spend far too much at PC, live near the water ocean and lake so spend much time sitting talking to the Lord and taking photos. Finally got a decent lens for taking pics of birds. Have some lovely ones here. Now summers near, be down beach with granddaughter lots,

Living in Oklahoma there are no close really large bodies of water. For birds I have three feeders outside our apartment window. One has suet, one has mixed seed and the third one has sugar water for hummingbirds and orioles. I have gotten some good pictures, but to take them I have to raise up the venetians blinds and make sure the window has been washed recently. Most of the time I will simply sit in my chair and watch. The orioles are a beautiful yellow while the hummingbirds are simply what they are: God's lovely creatures.

LOL Have you tried one more recently... say within the last 48 hours?

Haha..you hit me while I am down LOL

Hey, forget back flips. I am just so happy that I have not fallen down this week.
Last week I fell once...the week before it was THREE times...not a good habit to cultivate!!

So backflips no...but I AM now walking heel to toe in a straight line , and then backward heel to toe along the line ( tiles in our kitchen) plus I stand on one foot and count 30 sec and then the other, and a few more BALANCING exercises..
So staying upright is now my goal...
Sadly 'they say' that when we were young we climbed trees, walked on walls, played leap fog , did cartwheels etc...but now in later life we are not doing so many cartwheels or climbing quite to many trees. :D The brain just turns off the " I need balance" neurone..and it goes to sleep.
I am now in the act of turning it on again!!
They also say that as we age we do not pick up our feet enough when we walk. ( True, as much of my problem with falling is that I trip. Lazy feet)
I think I am a couple of years older than you John (75) ...so watch out...start taking a few seconds to stand on each foot for a while without wobbling.
And if you have tiles or lines in your kitchen " walk the tightrope" ...both forward and then backward without wobbling!! We need those old neurones to be woken up.
The outer man fails, but the inner man is renewed day by day... :)
