Psalms 92:7
KJV 7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:
Thomson 7 When the wicked sprang up like grass; all the workers of iniquity had a glimpse that they should be destroyed forever.

These are my thoughts.
Wickedness comes up and often times grows fast but God will one day cut it away and burn it up, the wicked need to come to Jesus.

the Tomson is well respected amongst protestants seems strange the difference in what is actually said between the KJV and the Tomson, but that's not the subject.

but the Tomson version raises the question why bring souls into the world so as to see there own destruction before it happens? but this is true for all flesh that have received the life of Adam.

it should dawn on us saved or not, that we are helpless without the Presence of God with us. even in the case of an atheist's view, they claim there is nothing there, they are right there is nothing there where they are looking and seeking which is the created, or made. if that don't induce despair I don't know what would.

hence without God there is nothing, because one is born into death and destruction and He being the Living God that always was is and is forever, is the giver of life to all creatures. but in man's case He gave man a life that was lost by Adam, and now restored to the world (mankind) through and in Jesus Christ.

The world benefits those who are turned against the Lord, this is why we as Christians are strangers because we are now meant for heaven and are here to do His heavenly work.

Psalms 92:9
KJV 9 For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
Thomson 9 For lo! thine enemies shall perish: and all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

These are my thoughts.
Those who stand against the Lord, those who reject Jesus will be punished.

The NIRV translates Ps 92:7 as,
'Those who are evil spring up like grass.
Those who do wrong succeed.
But they will be destroyed forever'.

This is a dynamic equivalence translation. I think it explains the meaning of the verse fairly clearly.

Psalms 92:10

KJV 10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

Thomson 10 But my horn shall be exalted like that of the Oryx; and mine old age invigorated with fresh oil.

These are my thoughts.

We need to be anointed with the Holy Spirit and by Him we will be lifted up.

How can anything be cut, that is not first allowed to grow?

You will never get an answer. Clark never ever answers anything.
I wrote to him once years ago, in a INBOX, and asked him why he never answered ..he said he feels he must go around every single site and post these different scriptures... but he has so many Sites to post on he cannot stop to answer.
I have seen him do this for at least 15 years. On two Sites that I was on, which both in time became dormant.....he has still continued to post on those two sites every couple of weeks...he doesn't even notice that no-one except him ever posts on them!!!
So don't hold your breath for an answer! LOL
Bless his heart...He doesn't even post the same scriptures on every Site..so he must spend his time choosing his new scriptures to post.
They are mostly OT verses...he may have used the NT a couple of times..if so , I don't remember any time.
One time, and one time only, he posted his verses by reading them on a video! He quite a young man, with a very strong southern accent.
So Scott you have to read his posts with a southern drawl :D

Psalms 92:11

KJV 11 Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.

Thomson 11 Mine eye hath looked on among mine enemies: and among the wicked who rise against me, mine ear will hear.

These are my thoughts.

We may witness those who stand against us first hand but God will carry us thru if we stand strong in Him.

If God is going to "destroy the wicked", I wish He would hurry up.

Persecuted and Forgotten? A Report on Christians Oppressed for their Faith, 2015-17,” is a study released by Aid to the Church in Need, an organization chaired by George J. Marlin. Its findings are devastating.

“In 12 of the 13 countries reviewed,” the report notes, “the situation for Christians was worse in overall terms in the period 2015-17 than within the preceding two years.” Genocide has been recorded in Syria, Iraq, and northern Nigeria, either by ISIS or affiliates such as Boko Haram.

North Korea is singled out for persecuting Christians. Its atrocities include starvation, abortion, and hanging Christians on crosses over a fire; others were run over by steamrollers.

As usual, Muslim madmen go about killing converts in public, and they do so with impunity. This is in line with the stated goal of Islamists, namely, the “eradication of Christians, and other minorities.” In Sudan, the killing is orchestrated by the government.

One of the report’s most salient findings, which deserves greater attention, is something that Catholics, and indeed all Christians, need to confront. “The defeat of Daesh [ISIS] and other Islamists in major strongholds of the Middle East offers the last hope of recovery for Christian groups threatened with extinction.”

Notice that the report did not say that more dialogue is needed: it said ISIS must be crushed. That is a glum, yet realistic, conclusion; it is certainly supported by the evidence.

Now that ISIS is on the run throughout the Middle East, the time to finish the job is more important than ever before. As the report says, “Many [Christians] would not survive another similar violent attack.”
