kepha31:The poll is slanted, the question reveals an agenda by a known anti-trintarian.

Q: Ahh! Then tell us all how it IS!~ It is either ONE God, or the Catholic 3-in-one-Motor -Oil God.
Unless your concept is that the Supreme Being has a Triune Personalty Disorder....
PROVE yourself, polytheist!

kepha31: Older translations use "Ghost" instead of "Spirit", it's the same thing.
Q: IS it? Are you forgetting what a "Ghost" is supposed to be? Rome didn't, and wanted to TERRIFY the superstitious population into subjection to the State Church....

kepha31:Notice that Jesus says "...in the name of..." Singular. Not "names of", which would be plural.
Q: Precisely! No three beings! God said his name is Jehovah...FOREVER- not "Jesus", nor "Holy Ghost"! BOOO!

kepha31:paul refers to the Trinity in 2 Corinthians 13:13
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.
Q: Only in your church-programmed mind.

kepha31: Again, in Hebrews 9:14
how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to worship the living God!
Q: Through HIMSELF, and TO Himself, polytheist? Is that REALLY how you read it?

kepha31: Three divine Persons who are in one divine being, God.
Change the wording in the poll to the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and you should get different results.
Q:Will do!

Lol. Every time I hear infidels I see Achmed the dead terrorist saying "Welcome infidels" then "Silence I kill you"

<chuckle> Some have compared me to Walter.

Yes yes. I would not try to judge all according to one since each will die for their own sins. Fruit is what we judge... the heart is God's area.

Indubitably.

Then answer the question to prove your claim: DO you know the God of Jesus Christ?
That's a false dichotomy if I ever saw one. Do you know that Jesus Christ is God?
The heresiarch Arius tried the same nonsense in the 3rd century and was refuted at the Council of Nicae in 325. That's how we got the Nicene Creed, which is accepted by all Christians.
Restorationist minister Charles Taze Russell brought the Arian heresy back in the 1870's and you are just one more of his victims.

Exodus 3:14 – God says “I AM who I AM” – John 8:58 – Jesus says “Before Abraham was, I AM” in reference to Himself.

2 Sam. 22:3 – God is the horn of salvation – Luke 1:68-69 – Jesus is the horn of salvation.

Psalm 24:10 – the Lord is the King of glory – 1 Cor. 2:8 – Jesus is the Lord of glory.

Psalm 45:7 – Therefore God, your God, has anointed you. God calls someone else God. This someone else is His eternally begotten Son – Heb. 1:9 – Therefore God, your God, has anointed you. cf. Heb. 1:8, 10.

Psalm 62:12 – the Lord God renders to each according to his work – Matt. 16:27; Rev. 22:12 – Jesus so renders to each according to his work.

Psalm 71:5 – the Lord God is our hope – 1 Tim. 1:1 – the Lord Jesus Christ who is our hope.

Psalm 89:27 – I will make him the first-born, the highest (“elyon” which refers to God) of the kings of the earth – John 18:36-27 – Jesus is this first-born king.

Psalm 97:9 – the Lord God is above all – John 3:31 – Jesus is above all.

Psalm 148:1-2 – the angels worship the Lord God – Heb. 1:6 – the angels worship Jesus. Only God is worshiped.

Prov. 3:12 – who the Lord loves He corrects – Rev. 3:19 – who Jesus loves He corrects.

Isaiah 7:14 – a virgin will bear a Son named Emmanuel which means “God is with us” – Matt. 1:23 – this Son is Jesus Christ, God in the flesh.

Isaiah 9:6 – the child to be born shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 25:8 – God swallows up death in victory – 2 Tim. 1:10 – Jesus abolishes death and brings life and immortality.

Isaiah 40:8 – the Word of God shall stand forever – Matt. 24:35 – the Words of Jesus shall not pass away.

Isaiah 42:8 – God gives His glory to no other – John 17:5; Heb. 1:3 – yet Jesus has the same glory as the Father.

Isaiah 43:14 – the Lord God is redeemer – Titus 2:14 – Jesus is the redeemer.

Isaiah 44:6 – the Lord God is the first and the last – Rev. 1:17; 2:8; 22:13 – Jesus is the first and the last.

John 1:1 – John writes, “the Word was God.” This is clear evidence of Jesus Christ’s divinity. (Note: in the Jehovah’s bible, the passage was changed to “Word was a god.” This is not only an embarrassing attempt to deny the obvious divinity of Christ, but it also violates the first commandment and Isaiah 43:10 because it acknowledges that there is more than one God).

John 1:18 – the Greek word for “only-begotten” is “monogenes” which means unique, only member of a kind. It does not mean created.

He didn't refer to himself, nor a Ghost...
The Triune God is the Father , the Son and the Holy Spirit. Hence, is why Christ said , "Go, make disciple of all nations baptizing in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Some things are just self evident. More deeply: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are three within one, they are the perfect heart, spirit and mind teaching and renewing our hearts, souls and minds. God omnipotent, omnipresent spirit who is everywhere, Christ the manifestation of the invisible God through action and word through whom the supernatural is brought forth into natural , and the Holy Spirit the mutual love between the two. And it is this Love which make all things new! You can not receive one without the other, for as Christ said, " I and My Father are ONE and the Same." He who sees the Son, sees the Father, and he who receives Christ receives the Fathers Love and that love is mutual between the two. In the beginning was the Word, in the beginning of what?, The beginning of the natural world. And the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and the Word became flesh! He who hears or sees the Son hears and sees the Father. Anyone from the OT who has heard the Word it has always been God's Son, for He is the manifestation vocally and visibly of God the Father. John6:46, Not that any one has seen the Father except Him who is from God; He has seen the Father.

So, when Adam and Eve heard God it was the Son ,when Abraham saw and spoke to the Lord it was the Son. When Moses saw the burning bush and heard God, it is the Word, His Son. Read John6:41-59, and concluding Christ is truly present in the Eucharist! when one blesses bread and wine in thanksgiving it true becomes the body and blood of Christ through the supernatural anointing of both , through the Holy Spirit, and in faith is believed in and is receiving Christ in our bodies. God Bless!

That's a false dichotomy if I ever saw one. Do you know that Jesus Christ is God?

Then you never have.
I call such dogma that perverts all the scriptures 'church porn'- because many enjoy it so much they become addicted to it.

"God" is the Supreme Being, but, alas, you have Three.
And each One of your Gods has 2 Gods over them!
Or not.....
Are you willing to listen to Jesus, rather than your chubby little lying Pastor or 'Priest'?

"Do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the son of God’? If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me!" - John 10
"Go to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God."- John 20
"He who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God!"- Rev 3

You say "They", Jesus said "He".
Who, O, who should I believe?

Revelation 1:8 "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty".
OK, if this is the ALMIGHTY then the ALMIGHTY is Jesus the Christ, because the Alpha and Omega is the First and the Last, supportive scripture, Revelation 22:13 "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last". so the Alpha and Omega is the First and the Last. now let's see who is the first and the last?. Revelation 1:17 & 18 "And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death".

now my question. if one say that this is Jehovah in Revelation 1:8. Question, "when did Jehovah die?". and if one say that this is the Father in 1:8, same question when did the Father die?.
and if one say it is the Son, "then how can the son have the same titles as the father if they are separate Persons.

I think that covered all

John 17:3 is speaking of God in his G243 allos state. Maybe this might be a little hard for some to understand, so let's take this one step at a time. the Lord Jesus is the ONLY TRUE GOD diversified in flesh and bone.

Step #1. Revelation 1:8 "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty".
This is the Lord Jesus, God Almighty. not Jehovah as the New World Translation states, they made a big bo-bo there. as we will see.

Step #2. the Lord Jesus is the "ONLY TRUE GOD"
the Almighty, who is the Alpha and Omega, and he is the beginning and the ending, also he is the “FIRST AND THE LAST”. scripture, Revelation 22:13 "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last". and the Lord Jesus is the “FIRST AND THE LAST”. Revelation 1:17 & 18 "And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am THE FIRST AND THE LAST”: now, revelation time. the Alpha and Omega, is the “FIRST AND THE LAST”. who is the Lord Jesus who is the ALMIGHTY. this is The same person. WHAT? yes, The same PERSON. so the NWT bo-bo is exposed.

The ONLY TRUE GOD IS THE LORD JESUS. Now get this, The ONLY TRUE GOD IS THE LORD JESUS AND HIM CRUCIFIED. Oop's did I say the Almighty was CRUCIFIED? YES I DID. Zechariah 12:10a "And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced". now who is this pierced one? answer, Revelation 1:7 "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen". who was pierced? the ONE who poured upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications". who was that?, Joel 2:27 & 28 "And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions". so it's the LORD (all caps).

so according to the Scriptures, the LORD (Father, Spirit) is the Lord, (Son, spirit) IN FLESH. John 17:3 is now clear. ”And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, (Jesus the Father) and Jesus Christ, (the Father, diversified in Flesh, the son) whom thou hast sent”.

so the one who was pierced, according to the OT prophet Zechariah, was the Father diversified in flesh. so the Father is the SAME PERSON as the son in flesh, only Diversified, or the offspring of himself in flesh. how easy it is when one understand "diversified Oneness. in step 3 we will expose the FIRST and the LAST as one in the same PERSON, not a separate Person.

Peace in Christ Jesus.

False Prophecies of the Watchtower Sociey

1939 "The disaster of Armageddon is just ahead" (Salvation, 361).
1941 "Armageddon is surely near . . . soon . . . within a few years" (Children, 10).
1946 "Armageddon . . . should come sometime before 1972" (They Have Found a Faith, 44).
1966 "Six thousand years from man’s creation will end in 1975, and the seventh period of a thousand years of human history will begin in the fall of 1975 C.E" (Life Everlasting in Freedom of the Sons of God, 29).
1968 "The end of the six thousand years of man’s history in the fall of 1975 is not tentative, but is accepted as a certain date" (WT, 1-1-1968, 271).

Besides false prophesies, the WTS has misled its members through countless changes in doctrine and practice...

A much longer list of such contradictions and doctrinal twists by the WTS could be formed, but this suffices to remove any reason one might have to believe that "It is through the columns of The Watchtower that Jehovah provides direction and constant scriptural counsel to his people . . . " (WT, 5-1-1964, 277). If that is the case, who is to say what will be taught tomorrow?

Step #3. the Lord Jesus is the "ONLY TRUE GOD"
Since we have eliminated any possibility of a person name Jehovah as God, let’s eliminate this First and Second person error.
We know by scripture that the Lord Jesus is “FIRST AND THE LAST” (Rev 1:17 & 18). who else claim these titles?. Scripture, Isaiah 44:6 "Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God”. here the LORD, all caps, says he, is the First. “I am the first”, and the Last. the Lord, (only “L” cap) says he’s the “FIRST” as well as the Last. one cannot have two “FIRST”. many say that the Father is the First person and the Son is the Second person. Well we have proved that the LORD is the Lord in Flesh the SAME PERSON. if this is true, which it is by the scriptures, then one no longer have a first and a second PERSON, but a “ONLY” PERSON like in John 17:3 states, "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent”. the Lord Jesus is the ONLY TRUE GOD in flesh who was sent. Another word for sent is Issue and Issue means come. Scripture, John 16:28 "I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father”.
John 8:42 "Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me”.
And here, come is the Greek word, G1831 ἐξέρχομαι exerchomai (ex-er'-cho-mai) v.
to issue.
{literally or figuratively}
[from G1537 and G2064]
KJV: come (forth, out), depart (out of), escape, get out, go (abroad, away, forth, out, thence), proceed (forth), spread abroad

So the one sent is the one who came. Isaiah 35:4 "Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.”. two points #1. the one who comes is "GOD". #2. and he "SAVES".
Clearly the Lord Jesus is GOD ALMIGHTY. And he is the ONLY SAVIOUR that "CAME". Supportive scriptures, Isaiah 45:21 "Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me”. and this killer, Isaiah 43:11 "I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour”. so the God who came is the "LORD" all caps.
so John 17:3 is correct, the Lord Jesus is the ONLY TRUE God and him who he have sent.

case closed, peace in Christ.

Wisdom begins with knowing God.- somewhere in Proverbs
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding." Prov 9:10
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." Prov 1:7

how many is "HE"? one or more?
Perhaps the deepest, the most profound of all mysteries is the mystery of the Trinity. The Church teaches us that although there is only one God, yet, somehow, there are three Persons in God. The Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Spirit is God, yet we do not speak of three Gods, but only one God. They have the same nature, substance, and being.

We came to know this immense mystery because Christ revealed it to us. Just before ascending He told them: "Go teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28:19). We know that these Three are not just different ways of looking at one person. For at the Last Supper, Jesus told us: "I came forth from the Father." So He is different from the Father. But He also promised: "If I go, I will send Him [the Paraclete] to you. . . . He will guide you to all truth" (John 16:28, 7, 13). So the Holy Spirit is also different.

Even though the Three Persons are One God, yet they are distinct: for the Father has no origin, He came from no one. But the Son is begotten, He comes from the Father alone. The Holy Spirit comes or proceeds from both the Father and the Son. These different relations of origin tell us there are three distinct Persons, who have one and the same divine nature.

Even though everything the Three Persons do outside the Divine nature is done by all Three, yet it is suitable that we attribute some works specially to one or the other Person. So we speak of the Father especially as the power of creation, of the Son as the wisdom of the Father, of the Holy Spirit as goodness and sanctification.

The two doctrines of the Trinity and the Incarnation are the foundation of Christian life and worship. By becoming man, God the Son offered us a share in the inner life of the Trinity. By grace, we are brought into the perfect communion of life and love which is God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This sharing in the life of the Trinity is meant to culminate in heaven, where we will see the three Persons face to face, united to them in unspeakable love.
The Holy Trinity

I can't believe this. Jaybird asked a simple question, and the answer, or the lack of an answer, went to Egypt and back and still didn't answer the question.

kepha31, we know it's one God, but it's the person, he is a single person, as well as "I". listen, Isaiah 43:10 & 11 "Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour"

in these two verses, the "I", the "me", the "my", are all single PERSON designations. this Saviour, only one. kepha31 with your biblical understanding who is this Saviour?.

Jesus, who is one with the Father and the Spirit. You will never figure it out. It's a mystery. We can know some things about a mystery, but nobody can know everything about a mystery. It's above our ability to reason, but it does not go against reason either.
The Hebrew word for LORD is Adonia, found in Luke 1:43, which means God. Elizabeth spoke Hebrew, not Greek.
[I, am the LORD...] you should ditch the comma, I AM is more telling.
