I had a dream two nights ago and keep praying for clarity, but I want to hear what others think. In the dream, I was at a gathering and then an older man told me I needed my anointing, rubbed oil on my forehead, then poured it on my hands until it dripped down. Before that I had been talking with him about tv evangelists who were misleading people, and he told me not to concern myself because false teachers would be dealt with someday. Any thoughts? Thanks

Were your feet bare? And did the oil fall upon them? Did you see your feet at all in the dream?

No, I was wearing shoes, couldn’t see my feet
Not a true anointing then. And false teaches are to be called out today. We can not stop them from falsely teaching someday, we are given now to do what is right! We are given to do the Lords work. As to final Judgement -of course that will come at the end! God Bless!

Well, I don't know if I have the same annointing as Joseph (the son of Jacob) had. But here are some thoughts.

The gathering was you in your life. More specifically the people you are around.

The old man is patience, experience and hope. Also, it could be named wisdom.

His advice on TV evangelists is a call to try the spirits. In other words be like the Bereans who checked up on Paul. But abide by every word of God. Listen to all that was said and what God has said.

Oil represents annointing. Thats a strange topic because you rarely find a Christian who doesn't believe he or she is annointed. But I reckon the oil must be pure... So the annointing isn't for you but for God's purpose though you and given to you.

Your forehead represents your thinking. Your hand represents either the ministry you attach youself to and/or your fellowship.

Perhaps he was demonstrating an incomplete annointing.....

An illustration of the incomplete and false teachings that are part of Christian culture today

Sometimes dreams are just dreams. But God does use dreams at times to emphasize something He is doing in our lives or even forewarn us of things that are to come.

If the dream is from God, then God will bring something into your life whereby you will see the understanding or importance of it.

What a lovely dream and yes, I believe this dream was especially for you, from God, Acts 2:17.

What do false teachers do? They deny the Finished Work of Jesus Christ and deny eternal life and these false teachers will do whatever it takes to seduce you into believing those 2 things most of all, 1 John 2. This is where the anointing of the Holy Spirit comes in and it's for all believers and no one is more anointed than anyone else, 1 John 2:27. This anointing keeps us from being led astray. Just think, the Holy Spirit inside you, teaching you what is right and wrong concerning Truth, Jesus Christ so that you can forever abide in Him. Lovely, thanks for sharing.

Where did I say they may not be important?

Wow.....

Talking to you in this manner actually causes you to listen....

Sorry, this was a false alarm. I was just seeing if you reacted to your own type of posts.

Good to know if i need to make a point with you in the future.

Had to post on this dream. It sounds like a dream that needs to be heeded. I always recommend talking to Angelina about dreams because she has a gift for discernment and often God reveals some things to her to speak into the lives of others.

My take is pretty simple, but I will add that the key to the important dreams is some sense of clarity about the dream. The dreams that are meant to teach me something or draw attention to something in God's will are always a bit clearer. I mean this in the sense of my recollection of the dream as well as certain details.

The anointing clearly refers to the oil of our people which is symbolic of the Holy Spirit. Without going full Pentecostal on you, this dream seems geared towards you doing (the anointing of the hands) something for a group. What's not immediately clear to me is the group, but upon praying about it, it seems evident that it would be the Church. I think you may already have an idea of something more specific. Try to recall any detail about those around you in the dream. The head anointing would connect with the idea of knowledge or wisdom sealed in your mind.

The message of the dream is to use what you know and what God gifted you with to serve others. With the focus on the hands, this may be more service oriented or refer simply to living a life for others to see (eg: doing, think about the book of James).

Don't be afraid to pray on it and ask God for further guidance or opportunity!

Isaiah 6 and 1 Samuel 3 are good places to look and reflect.

We are told that during these times God pours out His spirit upon all people, and that some will dream dreams and see visions, etc.

If you are a believer and have a relationship with God and with Christ, then you should consider the matter personal, to be revealed to you by them in time.

If you are not a believer, then pray to God that He reveal Himself to you and also reveal the meaning of your dream. If you will do this in the name of Jesus His Son, it will get special handling. Which may include the help of one of His servants, someone who has a personal relationship with Him. If someone offers to help and gives you a word from God that God did not first tell you about, then ask them to show you verification in the Bible. And continue to pray that God reveal the truth to you.

Hi Elizabeth,
This is what made me smile the most...what I got inspired by and reinforced
in me was...Never be concerned by what others do....they will learn as we all do...so stay
in peace with our connection with God.

Again, someone pointing out...Stay within your pay grade. It all gets taken care of. :)
