Well thanks folks for explaining it.

It's amazing how the media outside of Israel labels it as "controversial" and quickly jumps to oppose Jerusalem and condemn the words Trump spoke, yet Israel's Prime Minister Benjamen Netanyahu is please about the speech Trump gave regarding Israel's capital, and that's what the majority of Jewish people want anyway, and the Israeli media sites that i follow on facebook, they seem to be pleased about Trump wanting to move the embassy to Israel as well.

Why wouldn't they be pleased with what Trump has said? Of course they are ecstatic. Some people feel like this is a shape of things to come, as if to insinuate that this will put Israel in some sort of danger. Here is the thing they miss, Israel is the regions only real superpower that is backed up 100% by the United States, the worlds foremost hyper power. Whatever people think happens, Israel isn't currently in any real danger at all. This is why I believe that by the time the beast arrives, there is a possibility that whatever happens, the world will be hostile to Israel, including maybe even America, which will serve as the perfect opportunity for the beast to arrive as Israels grand champ, their king, or messiah coming in to lay the absolute smack down on all who dared to raise a fist.

Well our state's Premier Daniel Andrews, opened a Victorian trade office in Tel Aviv, but the opposition leader in state politics Matthew Guy says that it's important to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital city, and his state election promise if he were to get elected, he would open up a Victorian trade office in Jerusalem, it will be interesting to see who else follows these moves around the world.

Tel Aviv or Jerusalem: Is it any of Victoria's business?

Oh I understand it perfectly, what I don't see in scripture are two things, that the Bible refers directly to civil governments as his ministers, and that he chooses all in positions of power. This is the problem that I see with such notions. With every scripture that I have seen referring to his role, it vaguely states that he appoints leaders, but never says he elects all of them in every government to ever exist. If this wide spread belief was true, you wouldn't have verses such as this:

Yes, he chooses who he wants..........but we see here that even with Israel, there were exceptions. But no, by all means, believe that God chose Trump, maybe he will be the first to grab Jerusalem by the vagina, and never let go.................

I'm going by what I see in scripture. Based on what I see, there is no confrontation over land boundaries going on under the beast. There may of course be some animosity, but again, let them try something and see what happens. Talk is cheap, so if its all just going to be talk, then whatever "confrontation" you assume will still be occurring won't don't mean a damn thing. Lets see how well they fair in warfare or with any disputes with "the destroyer". There is a reason why he is given such a name, so I'm sure it won't end well for them.

Just curious, how much significance would you give Satan over the affairs of government? What role does he play?

Concerning your statement, "but never says he elects all of them in every government to ever exist", see (Dan. 4:17) "This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men."

That is pretty clear, don't you think? And, lest you doubt because it was a dream by Nebuchadnezzar, Daniel plainly says it is from God. (Dan. 4:24) "This is the interpretation,O king, and this is the decree of the most High, which is come upon my lord the king:" And Daniel then repeats what was said in (4:17) in (4:25). "...and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will."

And, lest you doubt still, a voice from heaven repeats the same to Nebuchadnezzar. (Dan. 4:31-32). "While the word was in the kings's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee...until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will."

Concerning (Hosea 8:4) "They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not:" This is Israel rejecting God. She does not seek God in setting up her kings or princes. But though Israel sets up her ungodly kings, God still will let only those who He wants be put in place. (Hos. 13:9-11) "O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself;...thou saidst, Give me a king and princes? I gave thee a king in mine anger, and took him away in my wrath."

You say you are going by what you see in Scripture. Do you dispute the 'land' promise of (Gen. 12:1)? Do you dispute the promise of Jerusalem as the place chosen by God to have His temple? Why do you think the anti-Christ wants to put his image there? Where is Armageddon located? Can you not see that the armies of the world are coming against Israel in the land? The dispute over the land will always be there until Christ returns and settles it.

Could someone quote some verses regarding this moment?

To me, Jerusalem stands out as the Biblical capital of Israel, and have no idea why Tel Aviv is the current capital, but I would be interested to know, why is this such a significant event, with Trump recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel? Where is the prophesies in the Bible for this? Can this event be pin pointed to a Biblical prophesy?

I would be interested to know.
„Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place."“ (John 18:36)

„Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14)

Maybe these verses led Christians who actually live in the Middle East to have a rather different take on Trump’s decision than that most posters here seem to have. Rather than cheering it, the Coptic Church of Egypt cancelled a meeting with Vice President Pence in protest of it.

What about this?

GENESIS 15:18

On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram and said, “To your descendants I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates ...”

Ezekiel 47:15- 20

15“This is to be the boundary of the land:

“On the north side it will run from the Mediterranean Sea by the Hethlon road past Lebo Hamath to Zedad, 16Berothahc and Sibraim (which lies on the border between Damascus and Hamath), as far as Hazer Hattikon, which is on the border of Hauran. 17The boundary will extend from the sea to Hazar Enan,d along the northern border of Damascus, with the border of Hamath to the north. This will be the northern boundary.

18“On the east side the boundary will run between Hauran and Damascus, along the Jordan between Gilead and the land of Israel, to the Dead Sea and as far as Tamar.e This will be the eastern boundary.

19“On the south side it will run from Tamar as far as the waters of Meribah Kadesh, then along the Wadi of Egypt to the Mediterranean Sea. This will be the southern boundary.

20“On the west side, the Mediterranean Sea will be the boundary to a point opposite Lebo Hamath. This will be the western boundary.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Imagine the outrage if Israel were to push their borders that wide once again. You could be right @Dcopymope

The countries which operate Consulates to Jerusalem, generally do not regard them as diplomatic missions to Israel or Palestinian Authority, but as diplomatic missions to Jerusalem as corpus separatum. Most of the countries with consulates in Jerusalem have separate embassies in Tel Aviv that are accredited to Israel.

The leaders of the world say NO to Trump’s Jerusalem US Embassy plan.

A UN security council resolution calling for the withdrawal of Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital has been backed by every council member except the US, which used its veto.

The unanimity of the rest of the council was a stark rebuke to the Trump administration over its unilateral move earlier this month, which upended decades of international consensus.

A spokesman for the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, responded to the veto by saying it was “unacceptable and threatens the stability of the international community because it disrespects it”.

The UK and France had indicated in advance that they would would back the text, which demanded that all countries comply with pre-existing UN security council resolutions on Jerusalem, dating back to 1967, including requirements that the city’s final status be decided in direct negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.

US outnumbered 14 to 1 as it vetoes UN vote on status of Jerusalem

Trump’s first year’s great act flops just like everything else the Dumb Trump has tried to doooododos in his face

James 4:4
Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

The biggest con in recent history is people calling Israel a democracy. Israel is a racist, we the Jews and none other.

The second biggest con is Trumpism.

Thankfully, both will soon fade into history never to return again

BTW: The only reason Trump is siding up to Putin is because Trump knows Putin got him elected in 2017 and Trump is hoping Putin will do the same in 2020.

in my view of things
