:study: Definition: The belief that faithful Christians will be bodily caught up from the earth, suddenly taken out of the world, to be united with the Lord "in the air". The word "rapture" is understood by some persons, bout not by all, to be the meaning of 1 Thessalonians 4:17, Did you know the word "rapture" does not occur in the Bible! Evvidently some members of the Christian congregation in Thessalonica had died. Paul encouraged the survivors to comfort one another with the "resurrection hope". He reminded them that Jesus was resurrected after his death; so, too, at the coming of the Lord, those faithful Christians among them who had died would be raised to be with the Lord.Is it possible for Christians to be taken to heave with their physical bodies? 1 Corinthians 15:50 RS "I tell you this, brethren; "flesh" and "blood" [cannot] inherit the kingdom of God, nor dies the perishable [decayed bodies] inherit the imperishable. What occurred in the case of Jesus set a pattern.. His disceples as well as odthers knew he had died. He was "not" restored to heavenly life until after his death and resurrection. Are we more perfect than Jesus that we do not have to die to enter into God's kingdom?

Your post makes a point about the whole rapture idea. The fact is, at that 7th and final trump, there will be some souls that will be transformed from their living physical bodies to that of the spiritual body; however, there has been an entire host to pass away through the ages long before, and many of those suffered through and died by persecution. There are, of course, still those that have yet to suffer the persecution but will in the future. The fact is, the rapture doctrine creates this false sense of a "get out of jail free card" that all good Christians will escape and not suffer persecution like the majority of the Biblical figures and really Christians throughout history have.Matthew 24:6Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

Rapture-Cultists believe christians will all vanish into thin air in a Mass Vanishing on judgement day, leaving unbelievers looking round wondering where they went.Ha ha ha! As if God would allow all those driverless/pilotless vehicles and aircraft to career around and crash when the drivers vanished!Furthermore, rapture-cultists think the unbelievers will get a "second chance" to become Christians! Ha ha ha again

See how Satan is behind the whole rapture thing, we can almost hear him whispering in gullible ears -"Psst, don't worry if you're not a Christian on judgement day, you'll get a second chance to become one, you can trust me, would i lie?"PS - I entertained a rapture-cultist woman to tea a couple of years ago and she said - "Airliners always have a Christian and a non-christian pilot on board so that if the Christian one vanishes off to heaven if the rapture occurs in flight, the non-christian one will be left to fly the plane and stop it crashing"..I politely told her that was a silly satanic concept and never invited her back..
