And there will be wars and rumors of wars but these things must first come to pass. Then what ? What is the opposite of War?Is Anti-christ, the lawless one,the false prophet coming to declare Peace On Earth? That Day will not come unless the APOSTASIA (“The Apostasy”) comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition . . . and then the lawless one will be revealed . . . the coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders . . . (II Thessalonians 2:3, 8-9) “And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors have reached their fullness, a king shall arise, having fierce features, who understands sinister schemes. His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; he shall destroy extraordinarily and shall prosper and thrive; he shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people.Through cunning he shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; and he shall exalt himself in his heart, and by peace he shall destroy many. He shall even rise against the Prince of Princes; but he shall be broken without human means.” (Daniel 8:23-25)“In his place shall arise a vile person . . . he shall come in peaceably, and seize the kingdom by intrigue . . . THE PRINCE OF THE COVENANT . . . after the league is made with him he shall act deceitfully . . . he shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places . . .” (Daniel 11:21, 22b, 23a, 24a)

"Is Anti-Christ, the lawless one, the false prophet coming to declare Peace On Earth?"I think, that the question of "peace" is a misunderstood word or term in the context of opposites--i.e. the opposite of war is no war, the opposite of peace is no peace. Does "war" mean no peace, and does no war equal "peace"?Mr. Lenon sang "give peace a chance.” He implies that religions, especially a Biblical one (because he believes that "heaven" and "hell" exists--only "imagine" if they did not), are a cause of the absence of peace and directly or indirectly the cause for war. I don't mean to lead one to believe that this is the absolute meaning and purpose of John Lenon's song, but do believe that many are lead to believe by some that the absence of peace is due to war. Can any one suppose and defend that the reason there is war is because there is lack of peace; or maybe better asked, if there were no war would there be only peace? (I do not advocate war without a cause--I think Christians should do there best to avoid involvement and seek to make disciples in all the world--we'll leave that topic alone for now).In this context, is it possible that the absence of war permits pure "peace"--that is, the less of war the more there is of peace until war is no more to the point that peace is all there is?Conflict is due to opposing wills, purposes and desires, and active aggression (whether cold or hot, or somewhere between) is the action to enforce that purpose and will upon the other. Sometimes war is necessary, such as in WW2 to defeat Nazism and fascism and world dominion. In other words, to preserve "peace" and stop an aggression toward despotism.Victory over the Enemy is the cause of peace. Victory is the consequence of the battle having been won. That supposes a conflict and a war. Who is Victor determines Peace or complete removal of all peace.I do not think the question is one of war or peace but, why is there war and why is there not peace. If the Savior of the World was not The Love of God toward man but a tyrant peace would mean might makes right and survival of the fittest, i.e., the one who "wills to power". This already is our world in this age--this sin-cursed (already sentenced, only waiting for the judgement to be carried out at the prepared time) world is ruled by the god of this age (not the God of the Ages). That is why there is no peace. The lack of war could only mean our demise. None is a Pacifist spiritually--such a position indicates antagonism toward the Father and the Son, and active denial of submission to the command to obey the Gospel.
