No he cannot.
To believe evolution is to disbelieve the Bible.
Evolution is unbiblical.

I could never be that clear cut. Some Christians believe some strange things.
I think God is bigger than that.

Some Christians claim that God created everything through evolution.

Evolution is a philosophy.

Some Christian believe in The Holy Spirit and some are violent against Him.
Their loss.

Yes, but the Holy Spirit is mentioned in scripture.

Can you find evolution in there?

That was my point.
The gifts of the Spirit...and speaking in tongues ARE in the bible..and christians don't believe in them.
How much easier to believe something which isn't even in the bible!!
Not relevant, but I know two Christians who believe that the earth is flat. JUst saying... Christians are a strange breed. :D

True, but certain things you need to believe in order to be saved.
I agree "evolution" or "non-evolution" is not one of them.

As far as the flat earth is concerned I can prove that to you. Haha.
How do I get photos out of my Iphoto onto this forum? ......I will show you.... :)

Dan is always mentioning ' flat earthers ' , I am at a loss to understand how anyone can believe that.
I do not have a problem believing that God could have created the earth with a Big Bang and I have no problem with believing that animals / nature evolves - even the human body evolves and adapts to environment ect- but I cannot believe we evolved from apes.
So when I hear the word ' evolution ' I cannot say I don't totally believe in it.
It may not be a salvation issue, but could still be part of the spiritual battle, if Satan can convince people that the world created itself, that we descended from apes and were not created by God , then it keeps many from believing in a creator. On the other hand, looking at how nature evolves ect is fascinating and I cannot see how anyone can think ' it all just happened ' - everything is just so finite in detail. Nature is incredible.

Yes - if they believe that God used evolution as a mechanism of creation. Many Christians do.

So what? Lots of things that aren't mentioned in Scripture are real. America, kangaroos, bacteria, black holes...

that we descended from apes
...is not really what anyone believes, fwiw, except the uninformed.
No scientist would put it that way, as we apparently split before apes even evolved, i guess, according to the record
then it keeps many from believing in a creator.
who did not want to believe anyway maybe, ya. Bc even in that scenario, a Creator could be posited, right

the OG Flat Earthers did not try to prove the earth was flat; that was never the point, as i understand it. the old Flat Earth society seemed to mainly wish to make the point that practically speaking, we all live on a flat earth, and everything that Solomon recommended for a fulfilling life occurs with one's feet on the ground. Thus the new "courtroom" movement ends up discrediting a wholesome concept imo

Triumph,

Assertions prove nothing. I need some biblical evidence to support your claim. I am not an evolutionist but your statements read more like your opinion than those with reasoned biblical support.

Butterfly,

I think we need to differentiate between micro-evolution and macro-evolution.

Micro-evolution represents change within the species. I eat white, pink and black grapes. They represent change within the species - different varieties - but they are all grapes.

Macro-evolution defines change from one species to another, e.g. chimpanzee to human being, like this:

We need some clarity here. What are we talking about, micro-evolution or macro-evolution?

It's my opinion that a person cannot claim Biblical Christianity
and at the same time believe in paganistic evolution,
and there is no other type of evolution but that which is paganistic.
