I hate having to take anything at all. Just goes with the territory of age I guess. The Oxycodone I take I also hate. It never takes away all of my pain but does take the edge off... Sometimes. Side effects are rotten. After years of use I still keep it under control. Every six hours I take one as does my wife. We were injured in car wrecks and her knees hurt horribly. An uninsured driver hit us and her knees shoved the metal dashboard in like you hit it with a sledge hammer. My head broke out the windshield.

Well back to the subject. I won't tell anyone to stop a medication, just get educated on what a drug may do. Many are worse than what they are intended to help.

- Pradaxa
- Carvedilol
- Spironolactone
- Ezetimibe
- Rosovastaton
- Coversyl
- Asperin

That's my daily take.
The first two on the top 2x/day.
I had (three) bypasses done 13 years ago.
About a year ago I went back into the hospital, 7 times my heart stopped working and they revived me 7 times. (Broke my ribs doing it).
Anyhow I'm still here after I saw where I was going.

Where the sun and the moon don't shine.
Where the sky is blue without clouds.
Where there's no wind.
Where there's peace.
Where all grass is the same colour and hight.
Where angels walk and greet you.

Prayers for your health and continuing well being.

Oops! I something a pharmacist should never say aloud.

It all has side effects according to some reports.
But I can't say that I experienced any of it, except one medication (forgot what it was) about 12 years ago.
It caused the skin on my hands to go funny.
The Dr. gave me a replacement and it cleared right up.
So, I'm not thinking about stopping my meds right now.

I've tried many anti inflammatories, all kill my stomach. I was prescribed one that doubled me over in pain and caused internal bleeding.

I had a stomach bleed which triggered my first heart attack.
They claim it was because I used "over the counter" headache medication.

I almost died and was flown 800miles to Vancouver BC where they saved my life.
So, two times I almost did not survive.

Thanks, Frank.
I pray for you as well.
Bless you.

yes, we buy "food" with all of the (anti-inflammatory) Omega 3 removed, and then buy "anti-inflammatories" to replace the effects of the Omega 3, i mean yikes

This old body wears out. Any time I'm tempted to be self pitiful I think of my youngest brother Gene. He's a 100% DAV former medic in the Vietnam era. Our mother prayed him put of Vietnam but he injured his back in the line of duty. He takes about 18-20 meds a day to stay alive. He's had 11 surgeries, a broken hip, acid reflux, crones disease, peripheral neuropathy, sleeps on a breathing machine. He is a believer and has a great outlook. One grown son Chris that lives with him and Rhonda his wife, has a rare form of arthritis that causes his knees to swell like footballs. They have a full plate.

I'm blessed.
