Is this idea the same as the "Gap Theory"... though I have read different variations on them both... i.e.:-soulless men and Satan ruled ruled the earth (explains all fossils)as well as-bodiless souls and Satan ruled the earth (only explains animal fossils)And what would someone say if fossils stated to be "millions" of years old, like a mammoth skeleton, were not? I guess I am saying what's a response to a New Earth view of history? And please, I am requesting that in this thread that we don't tell each other who is right and who is wrong or accuse each other of being liars. Because both sides of the discussion claim, with scriptural backing, that this is God's Truth. It is for God to reveal all Wisdom and for us to listen. Praise be to the wisdom of the Father over the foolishness of men.

I just want to make it clear... there is no such thing as a souless men, every single one of us before this Earth Age (First Earth Age) we existed and we are souls...We were not in our flesh body, as the only flesh body that existed were dinosaurs. (Job 40:15-24)JagLovest thou in Christ Yahshua, Lord and Saviour of the world.

So is it then that we are reincarnated? And why were dinosaurs the only fleshy body when people claim that there are tons of fossils which are all millions of years old?And I have read the passage in Job... and God's talking about dinosaurs... but can you connect this to what you are saying? And in verse Job 40:24 God says "no one can catch him [behemoth] off guard or put a ring in his nose and lead him away..." so dinosaurs are around while men are around...

Well isn't the three earth ages the same thing? That there is a gap between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2?

Most likely the dinosaur referred to was a sauropod which would have predated man and grass. The verse talks about the Behemoth chewing on cud. There as been all kinds of interpretations as to what this behemoth was everything from a hippo to an elephant. No one agrees what it is really.....though hippos and elephants don't chew cud....

At the museum, I had seen dinosaurs bones in there when I was little. (although I was not a Christian) Dinosaurs are the only flesh that existed in the First Earth Age. We were not made flesh until this Age (Second Earth Age, Genesis 1:26-28) And yes Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2 are a time gap. If you like to know, I'll post it in my next post.Love from Jag.Lovest ye in Christ Yahshua, Lord and Saviour of the world.

many will try to tell you this is Noahs flood but Noahs flood was never a secret nor were the Heavens destroyed in the flood this was a mystery revealed to us by Peter 5 But it is hid from them willing this thing, that heavens were before, and the earth of water was standing by water, by God's word [that heavens were first, and the earth of water and by water being, or standing, together by God's word]; 6 by which [things] that same world cleansed, then by water perished. 7 But the heavens that now be, and the earth, be kept by the same word, and be reserved to fire into the day of doom and perdition of wicked men. [Forsooth the heavens that now be, and the earth, by the same word put again, be kept to fire into the day of doom and perdition of unpious men.]__________________

Yes but I too have been in museums that are filled with all sorts of bones, not just dinosaurs, which are supposedly millions of years old. So which museum is correct? Are fossils truly millions of years old?

What version of the Bible are you using because this is the King James Version and it's differs from your own? :"And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; 7And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: 8(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds; )" 2 Peter 2:5-8

This is the Wycliff I do not normally use anything but KJV but this particular verse a few others are much better interpitations of the origianal Language The KJV says the same but is less clear unless taken back to the original the KJV5For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. The Wycliff 5 But it is hid from them willing this thing, that heavens were before, and the earth of water was standing by water, by God's word [that heavens were first, and the earth of water and by water being, or standing, together by God's word]; 6 by which [things] that same world cleansed, then by water perished. 7 But the heavens that now be, and the earth, be kept by the same word, and be reserved to fire into the day of doom and perdition of wicked men. Stilizzy, Kriss posted II Peter 3:5-7.JagLovest thou in Christ Yahshua, Lord and Saviour of the world.
Ahh... well that explains the mix-up with the scripture with those verses. lol... 2 Peter 3:5-8 (King James Version)King James Version (KJV) 5For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 8But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.So vs. 5 doesn't talk about Noah's flood? What if what people are willingly ignorant of is not in reference to a flood but to the fact that God created the earth? So what if the "secret" is that God is Creator?

This is not a new theory... it's a lot older than the idea that the earth is millions of years old because it dates back to the very first day of creation. What I am saying is that there is the belief that: God created the entire world, that is to say He did it all during the 6 days of creation... and it's roughly around 10,000 years, which the Chronology of the Bible speaks to and then there is the belief that: the earth is millions of years old.... So it's an Old Earth view (which is often trying to coincide with evolution) and New Earth view... which only has to be named as such because of modern science. Before there were other views... so it's not a new theory, per se, but a new name for a very old way of thinking...

A ton of people are ignorant of Noah's flood... but a ton more or willingly ignorant of God as Creator...but where did the earth ages come from? and why wouldn't have Paul or Jesus even made reference to it? I mean serious reference??did the earth ages get dug up with fossils? I mean, is it trying to fit science into the Bible? Is it basing the Bible off of science?

I just explained to you Peter revealed this mystery to us that is knowledge had to increase from the days of Old.Every Jew alive knew of Noahs flood it was no mystery this was not revealed until the New testament. And it is talked about in other places but it is very obscure and you must understand some deep things such as the Katabole(overthrow)http://www.christianityboard.com/katabole-...hlight=katabolePeter also tells us in the next verese that one Day to God is as a thousand years to Man so the creation week was 7 thousand years long each of these days being one day to God One thousand years to man.
