What is the secret hidden that the princes of this world did not even know?1 Cor.2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

I would have to look deeper at this in Corinthians, also in context. But for now my guess it that even the most powerful people of the earth did not understand or accept the full deity of Jesus Christ.

The prince of this world is Satan and verse 8 is referring to Kenites or tares. The secret is the Parable of the tares of the field and also world ages.

Agreed Wayne,I Corinthians 2:5 "That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God."When you are listening to men the wisdom of men and teachings of men, the power of God is not there. Your faith must come from the Holy Spirit that gives you the wisdom When your ways are in accordance with God's Word, then you will be well blessed,I Corinthians 2:6 "Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, not of the princes of this world, that come to nought:"This is not talking about this earth, but the world age of the flesh that we are now living in. The wisdom of this world age are all those things that goes to make up what is believed to be true today. It includes evolution, the rapture, and all the theories that are considered wisdom but in reality are folly. The prince of this world age is Satan, and the men and women of this world age set their own standards as to what they consider perfect and right, even though it is completely wrong. I Corinthians 2:7 "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:"God even foreordained the wisdom of God, before this earth age even existed. God formed it, planned it, and chose some to be His elect, and gave them a mission for their life. The elect are not chosen because of an accident or at random, but because of the stand they took in the first earth age. Each of the Elect earned it in their stand against Satan in the first earth age. This is why God said to Jeremiah:Jeremiah 1:4 "Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,"Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." In that first earth age all souls were not in flesh bodies, but were in the bodies as angels have today. It was then that Satan rebelled and one third of the angels [souls] followed Satan in rebellion. At that time in the first earth age many took a stand on God side, and they became what is called the elect, however, like today many took no stand at all, however they also did not rebel with Satan. They are the ones of the "free will". It was in that first earth age that Paul, Jeremiah and all the others that are of the elect came to that standing before the Lord, and Paul discussed this in both Ephesians 1:4 and Romans 11:7, 8.Ephesians 1:4 "According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundations of this world [earth age], that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:"This means that there were certain people that God chose in the first earth age to do a task for Him in this age of the flesh man. This is not reincarnation, for it is appointed for each of us to go through this earth age, the flesh earth age, once and only once. This appointing took place before the foundations of our present second earth age [cosmos] was even formed. Ephesians 1:5 "Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will," I Corinthians 2:8 "Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory."This is the mystery that was even hidden from the Tares (Kenites), the "princes of this world", for if they had known of the purpose of the crucifixion of Christ, they would not have sought to kill Jesus, but they would have sought to make Him a King to die a normal life. I just love this part the moment that they crucified Jesus, they brought about the death of Satan and their own death. Isnt God great by the Kennites that had become the rulers of Sadducees and Pharasees (the Jewish leaders) putting Christ to death the sealed their own fate. They wrote their own death sentence and pronounced it on their own soul. This sentence is written in Hebrews 2:14, and it was given two times in previous scripture. Christ came to die on the cross, for in dying on the cross He defeats the devil. In other words, the Kenites committed their own spiritual suicide. If they would have know that in Christ sacrifical death on the cross, Christ had defeated their father Satan, they would not have done it. but by their murder of Jesus Christ they fulfilled the negative part of the plan If they had known that in their evil act they would have given us the victory, they would never have gone through with the murder.

Maybe reading from the RSV will help with understanding. The King James language is expresses things as they spoke 400 years ago. We don't speak or understand the same as they spoke. They might often express things in terms of a harvest, or a field that grows with plants/crops/seed or a herd that needs tending/nurturing.What Jesus did on the cross was completely sufficient that every person on earth have salvation available to them (Luke 3:6), but not all flesh is alike (1 Corinthians 15:39). Some people will simply come to The Lord out of hunger, but not drink of His spirit (Revelation 7:16). There are better things that belong to salvation (Hebrews 6:9) such as a purified conscience when learning from God's eternal spirit (Hebrews 9:14) and being able to hear His voice (John 10:27) so that you can "live by" His true word (Ephesians 6:17) and He can be everything to you (1 Corinthians 15:28) so that you have a truly personal relationship with Him (1 Corinthians 15:28, with all of your idiosyncracies, habits, etc.) so that your love is made perfect (1 John 4:18). The fear of God is only the beginning of wisdom (unbelievers should fear not having God in their life) and is a teaching of MAN (Isaiah 29:13). Scripture is the introductory doctrine of Jesus (Hebrews 6:1) and the "word of truth" (Ephesians 1:13, 2 Timothy 2:15, John 14:6) that all "babes in Christ" must learn for self discipline, etc. because they still think in fleshly ways, but we must mature in Christ to learn the "depths of God (1 Corinthians 2:10).Many people will say "I don't know if I would have the faith to do what Job did", but true Godly Christianity is not about faith, the book of Job is a LOVE story, that's how he stayed true to God after all he endured. Faith can falter, but love never fails. I have faith in the laws of physics also, but I don't love them. TRUE Christianity is a LOVE ("the GREATEST OF THESE", 1 Corinthians 13:13), God is LOVE. We should not walk by faith, we should "walk by the spirit" (Galatians 5:16 and 25) and live under the law of liberty (James 1:25 and 2:12) because the law of Ten Commandments and the law of ordinances ('commands' in the N.T.) were abolished on the cross (and without those 'laws of sin', sin lies dead (Romans 7:8).There should be NO self abasement (Colossians 2:18 and 23) so that you can have a PERSONal relationship and SELF discipline to establish a CONSCIENCE "in my inmost SELF" (Romans 7:22). Self abasement is a very bad teaching that the god of confusion has inflicted on humanity and it causes 'The identity crisis of Christianity and a strong delusion (2 Thessalonians chap. 2 and Ezekiel 14:4-8). Being saddened (low of spirit) by all of the corruption, hatred/resentment, cheating, suffering of this world, the PRESENT heaven should be in a Christian's heart (Matthew 5:3) along with the "rivers of living water" (John 7:38) that were mixed with Christ's blood at the cross (drink of them). The strong delusion has always existed along with the stumbling block of one's own heart. Keep your humility genuine, it is the requirement and maintenance of wisdom. All verses are from the RSV.

The secrets and mysteries of God are not meant to stay secret, but can only be found by a contrite heart AND a mind set on OBJECTIVE truth, otherwise The Lord will send a "strong delusion". That has been happening all throughout history to the insincere. What Jesus did on the cross was completely sufficient that every person on earth have salvation available to them (Luke 3:6), but not all flesh is alike (1 Corinthians 15:39). Some people will simply come to The Lord out of hunger, but not drink of His spirit (Revelation 7:16). I just came to this forum today and I somehow double posted, but I wrote this on another forum explaining the "strong delusion".===========================================It’s important to realize that the strong delusion is not a FUTURE 'event', but neither is it something that only others will be exposed to, it is an unrealized and self imposed cloak of the truth of God's will for us that is caused by our own personal bias (the mind works the way we want it to, our mind/heart dictates our understanding).----------------------------I find it sad that, all throughout history, humanity has not placed much value on "truth" (objective and absolute truth) and has instead embraced SUBJECTIVE truth ('truthS' with a bias, philosophies, and certain types of 'logic'). It's like Pilate said,..."What is TRUTH?".All throughout history, people have chosen to modify the absolute truth so that it would be possible for each individual to continue doing whatever pleases them. In other words, our iniquities determine which 'style' of SUBJECTIVE truth will govern our conscience and lifestyle. Contrary to what vain ego would have us believe, it is these 'doctrines of our heart' (idolatrous doctrines) that present to us the "strong delusion" that God has sent (the one that we so comfortably like to believe will be in the FUTURE).No modern scripture is completely devoid of discrepancy. All translators of ancient scripture have always had to use their discretion in translating from the original language of scripture. No language translates completely/accurately the concepts expressed in another. Even more so, many translators have been careless, and some have been/are completely reckless and sloppy. The most accurate version of modern times is the AUTHORIZED King James Version (KJV). Even the RSV that I use has received criticism of containing inaccuracies (but far less than many modern versions), but if the heart is set right and focused on objective truth, text shall not present a stumbling block to those who love The Lord. However, there are times when going back to cross reference with the KJV can illustrate the principles of God (Ezekiel 14:4 KJV...lack of dedication to truth=strong delusion). A 'love for the truth" is not just a very noble and commendable quality of the character, but it is PRIME for knowing God.I never found it so difficult to address any subject as I do this one, for, I love truth, but realizing the insistence of some to mock/ignore the truth troubles me greatly, so I will spare my heart the burden of being kind on this subject, and simply let God speak for me.-------------------------------------------EZEKIEL CHAPTER 14 KJV (the RSV uses the word "because" in place of "according"...VERY sloppy)Starting with verse 4 (you will see/understand according to the idols/desires in your heart).-Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;Eze 14:5 That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.Eze 14:6 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn [yourselves] from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.Eze 14:7 For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:CONTINUE WITH 2 Thessalonians 2.----------------------------Some people are uncomfortable hearing the truth of their actions (not uncommon), but there are also some who simply INSIST and continue arguing that they are justified in their actions/iniquities (they make their own choice, the iniquities of their heart are their stumblingblock and strong delusion).Traditional Christianity is strangely (because of a collective "bias") not in the habit of READING/seeing what is actually IN scripture, but rather INTERPRET, but we are supposed to be a "pillar of the truth" (Jesus is the truth, John 14:6, but we should be the "pillar")...We read the introductory doctrine of Christ (Hebrews 6:1), which is the "word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15, Ephesians 1:13), but the word that we should live by ("sword of the spirit", Ephesians 6:17) is what we should also learn so that we will be able to "walk by the spirit" (Galatians 5:16 and 25) and realize that the law of the Ten Commandments and the law of ordinances ('commands' in the N.T.) were both replaced by the law of liberty (James 1:25 and 2:12, Ephesians 2:15), and apart from the laws that were abolished (laws against sin), sin lies dead, Romans 7:8. By far, the worst impediment to spiritual growth is this doctrine of "self abasement" (Colossians 2:18 and 23, 'The identity crisis of Christianity') because if there is no SELF, you cannot you have a PERSONal relationship or relate to anything or anyone (including “I am who I am”). Our devotion/relationship should be “in my inmost SELF”, Romans 7:22 or have a CONSCIENCE that can be purified by the spirit (Hebrews 9:14).There are many other things in scripture that traditional Christianity has comfortably ignored. By the intentions of your heart, you will develop eyes to see and ears to hear, so you can discover the "depths of God" (1 Corinthians 2:10).All verses are from the RSV.

You seek only ONE secret? You said..."How is this about the secret mentioned in the Bible?" (secret is singular). There are many secrets of God, but you seek only ONE. How will you do this?...with commentaries and the scholarly wisdom of men?...for the spirit searches even the DEPTHS of God. If you search through the scriptures with the spirit instead of commentaries, you will find/understand many (not only ONE) mysteries and secrets (using the wisdom of God's spirit, not the wisdom of men), but as long as you pursue only ONE in a prideful search in order to POSSESS a secret, you will never find the DEPTHS of God.Do you seek to be rich in man's wisdom or is your goal to be more truly intimate with The Lord, and that your love may be increased, in spirit and truth,...and does your love extend also to your fellow human being? If you find no interest in what I wrote, then you pursue only the wisdom of men and scholarly approval. Your 'strong delusion' will be proportionate to the treasure you choose to seek. If you choose to seek the wisdom of men, with scholarly study, you can gain the whole world, but in doing so, you will lose your own soul.If you are using the KJV, cross reference the verses/passages that you don't understand with those in the RSV for an easier understanding. If you truly seek my Lord, He will guide you through any false text/understanding that you ever mistakenly/inadvertently encounter (IF you truly seek HIM, not the approval of man).

If you truly seek my Lord, He will guide you through any false text/understanding that you ever mistakenly/inadvertently encounter (IF you truly seek HIM, not the approval of man).
So are you saying that your post is the only one with the wisdom of God, and if I am not interested, I seek mans wisdom? You are badly mistaken about me dear one. The approval of men is the least of my concern. I do not want to offend anyone, but I will not except mans interpretation without scripture IN CONTEXT to back it up. There is hidden wisdom(secrets) of God and it is his glory to conceal them, but it is our glory to search them out. This is what I love to do, search the scripture and find Jesus in every verse. The more I learn, the more I love Him, the more I stand in awe at who He is. In this thread I was looking at this one scripture and it mentioned the hidden wisdom of God, hidden since the foundation of the world. Even the demons, if they would have known it would not have killed Jesus.Your post had a lot of good information, but I did not see that it applied directly, (maybe indirectly) to this scripture. I thought you posted in the wrong thread. God can teach through others and I have learned alot about Him on these threads.
