Ok Picture this, God sets man up in the Garden of Eden, intending them to stay at that paradise the rest of thier lives. Why would God allow the tree/Satan to be in the middle of the Garden if he wanted man to be in that paradise forever?? I was asked this question and wasn't able to give a very good answer. I would love to come back with a better one.

For this question, I always bring up the topic of free will. If God wanted perfect little robots- He would have made them. Obeying and worshipping through our own will is what pleases God. The temptation of Satan was one that they could have overcome, yet they chose otherwise. Free Will.

Well yeah I understand free will but we agree he didn't want humanity to leave the garden. and Humanity hadn't fallen yet so there wasn't a need for temptation. So why would God even let temptation into his original paradise??

Like I said, if God wanted perfect little robots, He would have made them. He wanted His creations to choose good over evil- not because He told them, but because they knew.

I have to look to the end in order to understand the beginning. The total purpose of man is to bring glory to God. How can puppets bring glory? How can keeping man's free will to choose God over the enemy bring Him glory? Everything that we know about God and the enemy comes down to choosing God or the enemy, choosing good or evil.I believe that God has allowed sin and temptation in order to show us how great HE is. And for man to bring Him glory by choosing Him. IMHO

In Genesis 1: 26. God gave man authority and a free will.v26. "God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion".The Hebrew word for "Let" is, [Give]. God gave man dominion, He should have told that serpent to clear of, He had the authority and the freewill choice to do so. The rest is history.

I agree with all these answers but I also think of the scripture that says His way are not our ways. God didn't let us fall we fell on our own . we were made in the Image of God but we dont have his DNA we have our own. Each one of us different. There was a lot of work put into that. We are each a thread woven into a great tapestry and God is the only one who can see the finished product. there is another scripture that says God directs our paths like a watercourse. We are the WATER He is the PATH . He is doing everything he can to pick us back up. To me this is evidence that he did not let us fall. Remember God sent his SON to reconcile us to him. He can have nothing to do with Sin. I believe that stopping the fall would have been to kill his creation. Would you kill your child that you love for messing up?

Freedom is good thing, more freedom means more happiness, I believe that it's God's intentionfrom the very beginning for man to fall, simply because He did not eliminate evil right away,He still let Satan to remain loose, and just said "I will put enmity between you and the woman"Genesis 3:15. Another thing to consider is the alternation of night and day, how the stars glowat night and not during the day Daniel 12:3. And when God will put an end to darkness for goodRevelation 21:25.

That is a good question and have asked that many times.. I think the reason for Satan being about is due to the fall from heaven. Why God would set up human life on a planet that satan is alread on is beneath me.. Man fell because he chose to do so. Since we were given free will. God can not make us do anything if we refuse to do so.Also, I do not think we have the full story of what really did happen in the begining. I think there is more to it.

I know your question was answered a long time ago... but... God allowing sin into our world is just another one of the "laws of contrast":-Hunger pains make a meal seam wonderous-Rest is the only solution for a tired body-Being busy all week makes the weekend much more fun-It gets cold outside so we can enjoy warmth-There's danger so we're thankful for security-Without valleys there wouldn't be majestic mountains And finally... -Without sin, there wouldn't be holiness. (i.e. if holy means "set apart", there has to be something that God is "set apart" from. We can't be like Him unless there is something that we also choose to be "set apart" from. God had to let sin join the mix so that it's even possible for us to choose to follow Him and fulfill our purpose.) So there's a 20th answer to a question you were done pondering a while ago... but I just wanted to add my own input anyway.

I don't have quick time...can you upload it onto media?
Try right-clicking the link and using the "Save Target as..." command. Then you should be able to open it with any media player, once it's saved. Thanks for being interested
