Ryan, why are all of your answers two sided? And why do yo insist that the bible is only half right? How can you make such remarks? Are others opinions worthless when they do not follow yours?

But the theory behind OSAS is that a christian cannot stray off course and lose his salvation after he is saved. And yet God wastes his time telling his followers to be faithful until death. Why would he do that, if they could not lose salvation. There are several verses like this, just read my ultra colorful

super long post located both on your thread and this one.
(Letsgofishing;42987)
I like OSAS to think that I can't fall away from god, its a beautiful belief. The Problem is to believe in it you have to ignore half the Bible!!! I Think that price is a little steep.
You think so? ok. lets have a look.

I do not make the claim the bible is half right. I am just saying that the bible has to be understood as a whole and not just a half.

23And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, 24Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe. ( exodus 21: 23-25) 38Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: 39But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. (* mathew 5: 38-39) I completley agree with you that there are no contradictions in the bible. But explain how the two verses above don't contradict.

• "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:3.
Those with a greater spiritual need are more likely to depend on God alone and not their own righteousness.
• "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth." Matthew 5:5.
An attitude of humility and submission to God. Knowing we canot do it ourselves and how much we need God.
• "Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God." Matthew 5:8.
Believers will see God through the insight of faith. and will see Him as He is, when glorified.
• "For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:20.
The people Jesus was teaching thought of the Pharisee's as righteous. These were all they had at the time before Christ. At least to the people, they looked this way. How could these people's righteousness exceed the righteousness (at least as they thought-"very righteous") of the Pharisees? Through faith in Christ! Regenerated by the Holy Spirit, Christs righteousness!Nothing about loosing ones salvation.

You have so many verses here I don't have time to post them all. But a couple stick out:
Luke 10:25-28 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live."
I have a couple questions for you: Do you love the Lord thy God, with all your heart, all your soul and with all your strength and mind? And do you love your neighbor as yourself? Do you, Every minute of the day and night? every day? all the time?
• "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Acts 2:21.
This is a far fetched one, taken completely out of context to prove your point. This is Peter's sermon and He is teaching about Christ and the new covenant. Peter is teaching from the book of Joel. Joel 2:28-32. In the last day God will pour out His spirit on all mankind (Jews and Gentiles alike), not just the Jews. And whoever (not just the Jews) calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. This does not support OSAS or support man can loose his salvation in any way, nor is it even implied. You have many verses in that post, if there is any particular one that you think dis-proves OSAS, please let me know. But let me say, none of them do.

I don't understand how you don't get it. It does apply to Christians, what do you mean good Christians? are there bad Christians? Where do you get that from?
it means if you kill someone tomarrow and never repent you think Gods still going to save you
Thats not what it means, who taught you that?
ARE YOU GUYS HEARING THIS ITS NOT ABOUT GOOD CHRISTAINS ITS ABOUT CHRISTAINS THAT LEAVE GOD AND/or DENY CHRIST
Where do you get this teaching about good Christians? Can you show me the scriptures that teach good and bad Christians?
JUST BECAUSE YOU SAY THAT COULD NEVER HAPPEN TO YOU DOESNT MEAN OSAS IS A DOCTRINE OF THE BIBLE .
OSAS or (perserverance of the saints- is taught in scripture)
God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Dear all,I have joined this site for a few months.I have noticed that many people who write in this column don't have Christian spirit and love. No sign of the fruit of the spirit. They act and write like pagans. They accuse and insult one another. Competing one another. I feel so sorry to read their expressions. I am saying GOOD BYE to you all.If you are Christian please remember the fruit of the Spirit in your life.Gal 5:22-2622 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace , patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.By the way may I introduce to you about myself.I am Asian, a medical doctor, a missionary in Asia, I have my Master degree in Theology and doctor degree in medicine, I am also a radio broadcaster, I am also a Bible translator in Asia. (Not to be proud of myself but just to let you know that I am a strong believer in Jesus Christ our Lord)BYE!

Brother, I wish you would stay and help us. We need your help. No one should throw part of the body of Christ away."Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you." Eph 4:32"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God." 1 John 4:7

(His By Grace;42856)
Kriss, you are taking the book of the Revelation and using it to try to prove your points about where Satan is, and what point in time we are right now, when in reality you do not know these things. You are speculating all of this. The book of Revelation was based on John's vision. It isn't constrained by time. Not even all commentators can agree on its interpretation-literal or symbolic. Now, you can say you take everything literal, but you even said that Leviathan in the OT was symbolic, so you don't always take the Bible as literal. You say that the anti-Christ is Satan when that isn't what the text says but you base it on your own theory. You seem to be caught up in the trib./revelation info. so much so that it clouds all of what's going on right now and you even use it to influence most every scripture in the Bible. I think you truly believe what you say; too bad it's just an opinion. Remember, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
It is part literal part symbolic but it doesnt matter it will happen as its written the same thing is prophisized throught the old and new testament if one thinks antichrist/Satan isnt coming then you are calling half the bible wrong its in the old testament and the new just because you dont get it doesnt mean its not there try reading 2 Thessolains when does it say Christ will return? AFTER the son of perdition that is Satan then read Ez 28 thats Satan also what does it say will happen to him ? then read Rev.9- 12 thats a start its written everywhere.
