When you say "sin" what is the definition thereof (for I would like to see if it matches with others definitions here).

IMHO-I think that the 10 Commandments was meant to SHOW us what sin is to God. And I am SO very grateful to be freed from law.
Matthew 22:37-40 New International Version (NIV)
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Just keep in mind, Jane by her own admission knows the doctrine of Mormonism and is still a Mormon. And Jane is being deceptive in answering questions.

And, keep in mind that Christianity has rejected Mormonism as part of Christianity and has labeled it an occult. Thus if this is an error on Christianity's part, then she must present the reasons for this label and show how they are not true. For her to say, just ask me questions, shows she is hoping you don't know certain things and will not ask.

Are there Mormons who are Christians? Very well could be. But they would not be as informed in Mormon doctrine as Jane is. And, as they learned more of the Mormon doctrine, they would leave.

I have yet to see an answer to the simplest of questions from Jane...just keeps coming back as to "why" one wants to know the answer to the questions she so freely said to do, "ask me questions...

When you say, "O" (in IMHO, as in your 'opinion' and not scripture) why should I take your 'opinion' over scripture (Isaiah 8:20)?

When you cite Matthew 22:37-40:

Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Matthew 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Matthew 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Matthew 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Where is Jesus quoting from in the 'OT' (specifically Torah, "in the law"), and what is the context?

Okay thank you. That all I needed.

Your NON-ANSWER was the answer I expected. ...that I what I thought,
and that is all I wanted to know.
Thank you for being honest and sparing us all the proselytizing-circus headache. God be with you :)

Honest question, concerning LDS practice, compared to stated Standard Works, etc materials, in regards the Sabbath Commandment.... <Jane shortening this for length>
Hi TheHolyBookEnds, I think you and I have actually chatted on ChristianForums before (I recognize your post).

SIMPLY saying in other words-This is what I have come to believe and I will never be able nor do I desire to go post to post with you, I would never get to reply to anyone else! Lol. Maybe I SHOULD have said, instead of IMHO-what I have come to believe as Truth, and been taught through His Word, the guidance of The Holy Spirit, and many good teachers and books -to believe. Not a big fan of huge long posts, sry ♥

I am not talking about what "I" believe it is.
This JaneDoe22 has said more than once...if you want to know something, ask me.
Two of us have kept asking and she wont answer.
I asked what the Mormons believed about the blood.
I actually know that Brigham Young has told them that not every sin can be cleaned by the blood ..( we are talking repentant sinners here)
He says some sins can never be forgiven and need the blood of the person who committed the deed to have their blood spilled for full atonement so that they can go the heaven.

So no...I am not "rabbit holing off" about sins. It is the blood of Jesus I am interested in...was it "enough" or was it not enough?

I am still waiting for her answer, as is Stranger who has also asked her questions.

We probably would not be so open in asking..if she hadn't said more than once.
" ask me questions".

I'll send you both PM's too--again I'm feeling bad about derailing Rolo's thread.

What about the question about where Jesus was quoting from "in the law" (Matthew 22:36,37-40) and its context, which you raised? Surely the question was not long, nor complicated, right?

Yeah, what matters about "truth", just so long as it's "popular" ...

Well people may have been more interested in yours , if it had not been such hard work to read for hours on end. They are "popular" with you...but not so much with the membership here. People here like interaction...not a string of preaching post "at them".
You never even tried to get to know the people here or get the 'feel' here, ...but you just jumped in preaching " at us".

Have a nice evening...if it is indeed even where you are.
