I think is one of the neatest of the unimportant passages in the Bible. By this, I mean that this passage doesn't have huge connotations and results on your faith but it does, perhaps, answer some questions for us.Found in Job 40 KJV:15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.18 His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.19 He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.21 He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.22 The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.24 He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.Take your time and draw either a physical or mental picture of this animal. It seems to me like this is a Biblical description of a dinosaur. What do you guys think?

I don't know about that one, but the leviathan in chapter 41 is definitely a dragon. Must have been quite scary to live in those times!

The word "Behemoth" in some hebrew translations is discribed as an extremly large elephant like animal with a large tail (elephants dont have big tails) my compaion bible also says this an concludes these were dinasours being discribed

Agreed. I've had the elephant idea thrown at me too but the description of the tail defies any animal I can think of besides a dinosaur. A cedar tree is not small by any means and an elephant's tiny little tail just doesn't cut it. It may also be noted that the elephant's strength would probably be said to be in it's trunk anyways, even from a non-scientific point of looking at things.I think the implications are quite profound. I don't want people to picture me as a "Bible thumping fundamentalist" but this passage (at least to me) suggests the very real possibility that dinosaurs and man coexisted. It would explain the idea of the dragon as well since, just as the giant concept, we see this over and over in cultures of the world.

http://images.picturequest.com/common/deta...77/22247789.jpgForgive me for the rather crude image here, but it was quite necessary to make a point since I commonly here this verse incorrectly referred to as an elephant or some related species of animal.Job 40:17 He moveth his tail like a cedar...Now I'm not sure if you've ever seen a cedar tree, particularly from that part of the world, but it's quite massive. No massive animal still living on earth fulfils the sheer size of such a tree. In other words, it cannot possibly be an elephant, rhinoceros, or anything like that.http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/t...on-cedar-hc.jpg
