i don't think we use it but we do allow use of it so i guess it's like a "Approved Bible" but not official for the jw.
JW use the KJB when it suits them in public generally, though some may still use it privately. Generally the WTS has the JW use NWT (latest 'silver' sword) (or a KIT).

There are issues with both the NWT and KIT, as well as other 'modern' English 'translations'.

The King James is the perfectly preserved word of God, Psalms 12:6-7; Matthew 24:35; Mark 13:31; Luke 21:22; Deuteronomy 8:3; Matthew 4:4; Luke 4:4; John 12:48, &c.

There are serious issues with 'modern' English bibles which may be shown upon request.

@OzSpen,

Michael is only seventeen years of age and searching right now. Please go easy on him, as he has had some bad experiences with Christians.

Love in Christ,

justbyfaith.

Thank you jbf.

Nevertheless, at 17 years of age and a JW he needs to know how the JW organisation has concealed the names and linguistic qualifications of the 'New World Bible Translation Committee'.

If a person wants to use and recommend a Bible, it is important to know the translators qualifications in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek.

Michael,

Are you a Jehovah's Witness? If so, why can't you obtain the names from your JW organisation of the translators and their linguistic qualifications, on the 'New World Bible Translation Committee' (June 1, 1984 edition, p. 5)?

Oz
no why do you need the names.

Most of the JW I meet are so sure of themselves "We have the truth" they say. They offer as much proof as any other believer & sit back and accept that you must believe them. They have all the answers, and they don't ever back down.

I have a question, if truth can only be understood by faith & personal experience, then how can you tell who's telling the truth. If you say the Bible is the truth, that would mean all Christian sects are the truth because their Bible agrees with their type's of belief. See the thing is, you're the one interpretating what the Bible says, so it's not like it's going to disagree with your point of view.

No. There are some different versions such as NIV and KJV.

But that was not the issue I mentioned.
I said most cults publish their own bible version.
Such as JW and Mormons.

Those wacky cult's.
FYI: the "Mormon" Bible is the KJV.
Also, you words here are very offensive and show great ignorance. Please, be mindful of what you say.
