I mean, would you be guilty of cheating," per se?Obviously, you're not the one who broke the man's wedding vows. But you're guilty of something. The man is clearly a cheat but is what the OW has done considered cheating too? This is NOT about me...

If you were having an affair with a married man/woman you would be committing the sin of 'fornication.' Adultery is when a man/woman has a sexual relationship with someone who isn't their spouse. Fornication is when an unmarried person has a sexual relationship with someone else - outside of marriage. Even if the unmarried person's partner is married the unmarried person is still only committing fornication. I'm rambling a bit sorry. Hope this helps. God bless.

It would depend upon 'knowledge'. Did she know what was going on? Or was she ignorant and therefore innocent and merely a victim?

You are right. the unmarried one can be innocent of breaking the marriage if the male has lied to her about his marital status. She would only be held accountable for it if she knew he was married, or found out later, then carried on with the affair. She is still committing fornication though as she is having sexual relations outside of the marriage.

"Innocent victim" --- what are you people talking about?:naughty:I'm tired of women getting a "free sin pass" card by calling themselves "innocent victims". Women will be lined up on the throne of judgment just like men. If they are not saved, they will go to hell just as fast as men.God does not play games or go easy on the ladies because they cry big crocodile tears. God is NOT a respecter of persons. God does not care about your sex, background, race or whatever.Acts 10:34-3534Then Peter began to speak: "I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism 35but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right. 36Galatians 3:26-296You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, 27for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.I know that this is talking about Christians, but the idea is that God does NOT show favortism.

RaddSpencer what we are talking about here is not a man/woman who uses this as an excuse. We are talking about a situation where someone was pretending to be single to pick up a partner. You would not know straight away that they were married. You usually find that out later. A person finding themselves in this position should break off the relationship as soon as they find out the other one is married. This can happen to men or woman. If you noticed in my posts I did say she is still committing the sin of fornication. I was not in any way implying she was totally sinless in the situation. I don't like the way some men think they can lump all woman in one basket. Just like men we have our good and bad in our sex and I am tired of being lumped with the bad by a lot of men. I am married and totally faithful to my husband as he is to me. Please think before you make sweeping generalizations about anything. Don't get me wrong, woman can be as bad at generalizations as men and both should stop it. God bless.
