Hello
@brakelite,
What Scriptural basis does this thought of 'probation' have? In the light of Ephesians 1:3-8, it has none.
'Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings
in heavenly places in Christ:
According as He hath chosen us in Him
before the foundation of the world,
that we should be holy and without blame
before Him in love:
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children
by Jesus Christ to Himself,
according to the good pleasure of His will,
To the praise of the glory of His grace,
wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved.
In whom we have redemption through His blood,
the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of His grace;
Wherein He hath abounded toward us
in all wisdom and prudence; ... '
(Eph 1:3-8)
This a present reality (
'Who hath'). We are at this moment,
'in Christ Jesus',
'Holy and without blame', before God, our Father.
We are, at this moment '
accepted in the Beloved', in Whom we have 'redemption through His blood', 'the forgiveness of sins', according to the riches of His grace.
* In His perfect love there is no fear, for, 'perfect love casts out fear'. Fear is just, 'the beginning,' of wisdom, it is not wisdom itself (see Psal 111:10; Prov.1:7; Prov. 9:10).
'But of Him (God the Father) are ye in Christ Jesus,
Who of God is made unto us
wisdom,
.. and righteousness,
.... and sanctification,
...... and redemption:
That, according as it is written,
"He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord."'
(1 Cor.1:30-31)
* Christ is all these things to us - NOW.
(Heb.10:22)
Praise His Holy Name!
Blessed assurance!
In Christ Jesus
Our risen and glorified
Saviour, Lord and Head.
