I used heroin for a year and recently came out of rehab I was very lucky God has changed my life and now I do not smoke, drink or do any drugs its so much better. So guys be very careful drugs start with weed you get that feeling and then you want more I personally think alcohol and drugs are one of the devils greatest lies to lead us to hell. The Bible advises against anything that makes your mind unsober it says you are a fool if you do that.So ask yourself are you a fool??Hope not!!God bless
Thank you Craig for your wonderful message! I like 1 Corinthians 3:16-17:Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple.I am a recovering crack addict with 6 years clean. My path started innocently enough with too much cough syrup when I was 13. High School was drinking and smoking pot on the weekends. I work in a drug rehab today and attend 12 step meetings. Active and recovering drug addicts are a big part of my life. People think Marijuana is an innocent enough drug, and compared to alcohol and the more dangerous illicit drugs, it may be. After all, marijuana is not physically addictive and fatal overdose is nearly impossible. However, marijuana can lead to damage to the reproductive system, the immune system, and cognitive ability. In addition, there is ample evidence that marijuana is a gateway drug. In short, like Craig said, God doesn't want us to be a fool and God doesn't want us to abuse our bodies.Rick

How much marijuana must be smoked in order to damage the reproductive system? How much marijuana must be smoked in order to damage the immune system? How long does said damage last before the body fixes the problem naturally? As for cognitive ability, I have found that smoking jsut a little of the right stuff enhances my ability to think.god bless.
In addition, there is ample evidence that marijuana is a gateway drug.
Any more so than, say, caffeine?

I started out smokin weed at age 14. In 1974 in So Cal it was like a drug store at my school. All my musical heroes where junkies, all my literary heros where junkies. By the time it was over in 2005, I was a Heroin junkie with Hiv, Hepc, Diabetes, and more!I walked the earth with absolutely zero immune system for over a decade and never once got the deadly infections that killed millions. I looked death in the face for over a decade and still.....God loved me in spite of it all. He picked me up off the trash heap where I had crawled off to die, cleaned me off with the Blood of the Lamb, set me on my feet and gave me the strenght to walk on. He granted me repentance unto faith in the suffering, death, and resurrection of the Messiah. He did for me what I failed to do in 2 attempts at rehab in a blink of an eye. I dont have to go to meetings for the rest of my life and I have no cravings. I am a new creation in Him. I am so thankful that I have devoted the rest of my life to His service and would go anywhere anytime in obedience to all He commands. All glory and praise to the Father and His Holy One, Messiah Yeshua!!So in conclusion. I went to the end of that road and looked over. I tell you now. Turn back. Just around the bend it gets real steep downhill. The farther you go, the harder it gets to turn around and go back. Then only God can save you. Will He? Will you listen to me? Repent of the drugs or you will likewise perish.

Seriously is it? Smoking weed?
ForYou, Smoking weed is a sin for several reasons. Even though weed is not specifically mentioned, we have, what is called RECURSIVE PRINCIPLES, which cover anything we find in our day. First the Bible tells us to cleanse our bodies, 2Cor 7:1, Rom 12:1,2. Another very important point that few take into account, is the orders for us to OBEY the superior AUTHORITIES, which are the governments we live under, Rom 13:1-7. James also tells us that if we know what is right, but do not do it, it is a sin for us, James 4:17. At Hebrews we see a vital point. The point is: If we continue to practice what we know iswrong, there is no sacrifice for our sins. This means that we are not under the Ransom Sacrifice of Jesus, without which we cannot gain salvation, Heb 10:26,27.

If you have to ask if it's a sin or not, then it's sin. You answered your own question.Rom 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. Col 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. The just are suppose to live by faith. There is a law of faith. Now check your heart. Does your heart tell you it's OK to smoke weed? It's not what we think, but does your heart condemn you for smoking weed? Never go against your conscience!!! those that continue to disobey their conscience or the Holy Ghost promptings get dull and loose their ability to hear from God. That's not a good position to be in.All those other post are great. We are not under a bunch of laws but we are under the law of love, and if I love God and feel sort of bad about doing something then it's time to stop doing that.Jesus is Lord!!!
