I posted about this event in the prayer forum. Let me explain the DELIMA that I find in prayer, or in our thoughts about God, time and time again. Or, what some of our thoughts can be. This is much along the same lines as the post I made HERE.Recently my wife was inside of a laundry mat having a large comforter cleaned, because it would not fit in our machine at home. When she was inside, totally out of her sight or mind, someone backed into our car that was parked outside. The person drove off... it was a hit and run.So, my wife called me at work and said that someone from across the street had seen the lady hit her (my wife's) car, and drove off. He had already called the cops with a description of the vehicle that did it.We have full coverage, and the damage was around $2,500 of body work... we would have only had to pay a $500 deductable. However, we just purchased that car and who wants to pay $500 unexpectidly... because of someone else... and something you can't really control?Well, I came on here... I'm sure my wife said a prayer, and I'm sure the Lord was looking out for us. I posted the need for prayer, and whether anyone had prayed before hand or not, certainly God knew it was the prayer of my heart that somehow the person would be caught and we wouldn't have to foot the bill to fix it.Well, within 20 minutes, the cops called and said they had her. No plate number, but merely off the description of the vehicle. Keep in mind, I don't live in a small town. I live in one of the biggest cities in my state, so it was quite the surprise that the cops had actually located the vehicle that hit our car 20 minutes prior. They brought her in, and we won't have to pay anything out of pocket to get it fixed. In fact, I drove a rental to work today that is being paid for by the other person's insurance company (yes, she was actually insured. Why she ran off, God only knows).NOW THE DELIMA. I want to say, "Thank you Lord, for looking out for us." But, doesn't the Lord ALWAYS look out for us? If the person wasn't caught, for example... would I say, "Lord, why are you not looking out for us?" You see, the delima is that we have the tendency to think, that because a prayer to avoid unjust struggle was answered... and a gift was given... that the gift is proof that God is looking out for us, and cares for us. But, this is not so. The fact is, even if we never heard from the person who hit our car again... and the person was never caught... God is in fact, looking out for us. And, a hit and run on our parked car was the best possible thing to have happened. But, other people say, "Wow, the Lord was really looking out for you." And, I say, "Yes, He was. He is always looking out for us. Even if we had to pay out of pocket to get this fixed."We can't base the character of God on one event... or think that because He kept us from struggle... that means that He must care. Not so. In fact, many times it is struggle that we NEED. We must believe that all things, ALL THINGS, are working for the good of those who love Him. When something breaks, thank the Lord for it. You have no idea what blessing He is intending for you through it! If not in this life, absolutely in the next.Furthermore... it's God's money. Everything is His. If He decides that you need to have $500 less in your pocket, for His glory, than so be it. IT'S NOT YOURS. Every single last penny we have is His, and we should be using it as stewards to accomplish His purpose. If the Lord dictates that we need less in order to serve Him more, then He will distribute it elsewhere... and take it from us. Who can argue with Him? The Lord gives... the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. He is good, all the time.We need to be able to show people this. And, like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego... come out of the firey furnace, not being singed by the fires. They did not even smell like smoke when they came out of the furnace, and I pray that neither would we -- Daniel 3:26-27

Yes,God truly does work in amazing ways,he will take all from you yet bless you more than the holys of holys. I sometimes let my emotions get away from me and sometimes blame God but then I know he has his ways. God is always right in what he does!!

The Lord does look out for us. But He often does test our faith. There can be trials, and if you remain faithful even during the worst of times, God will reward you for having faith. God won't give you anything you can't handle. BUT FOR YOUR SAKE, STAY FAITHFUL.
