Being alone my wife and I have fought viscious attacks from Satan for years. After God promised and sent our son and daughters some 38 years ago the battles have been fierce.

Now along with spiritual battles we fight physical afflictions. I have a terrible time getting rest and sleep. At this point I haven't slept in two days. It's a combination of spiritual attack and physical afflictions. I've spent long periods praying in the spirit and only in the last little while have gotten a little relief from the inner pressure.

Not having a church body for years has caused us to have to hang onto Jesus with all our might. I've never understood our separation but we can't go to sit and listen to the things being taught.

I am not too prideful to ask for prayers but have always thought God would help and deliver us and we see him move on our behalf again and again.

In humility before God and you my brethren I ask your prayers for strength, peace and whatsoever God would have you ask.

Thank you all.

You are in our prayers. I found that reading the bible through each year brings great peace of mind and sound sleep. If you do not practice this, a good place to begin is Footsteps through the Bible or any other free download yearly program.

“He sent his word, and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.” (Psalm 107:20) (KJV 1900)

Of @Frank Lee yes for sure. We will pray for you and you wife.
You are “going through the mill” fiercely. And lack of sleep is heaped upon the pain!
I agree with you about not “going to church” and sitting quietly listening to stuff that we cannot agree with. Yet, times like this , as you are going through right now, the lack of the Body members with encouragement and strength around....is hard. I can relate to that part.
Yet the great constant wearing pain ...I can’t even imagine how you cope.
I have a busy day ahead, but I will ask the Lord to keep reminding me to pray and partition Him to send His army of angles to where you are.
I pray you feel His powerful presents.

Praying now!!

Hi Frank ~

Prayers for you and your wife ~ Done.

Additionally I would like to mention the acronym HALT, which stands for the words...
Hungry
Anger
Loneliness
Tiredness

Which are the conditions of a person, that give the person an overall weakness, and weakness as you know, is what satan is prowling looking for.

Hunger...you didn't mention, but you obviously know how to eat when hungry.

Anger...you didn't mention, but I will mention,
The majority of things people get angry over, are piddly, insignificant, things that often can not even be recalled in a weeks time, and could easily be remedied by a choice to make a mind-set change, to concede the small stuff.

Easy? In reality yes. We only do things for one of two reasons...Fear or Desire.
Doing out of Fear...is because we are in a wondering of the unknown.
Doing out of Desire...is because we are in the stage of knowing the outcome.

Like in Scripture...
Hearing the word of God, begins with Fear, because we do not yet Know Him, and are wondering about such things we are hearing.
Once we Know Him, the Fear is gone and the Desire of wanting to Know more and more enlarges.

Loneliness...you gave an indication.
I have some suggestions and will PM you.

Tiredness...you gave an indication, a relatively current issue.
That is more about the physical and then leads to the mental frustration.
And have some suggestions and will include in the PM.

I have some things to take care, and will PM you later.

Take Care,
God Bless you and your wife Abundantly,
Merry Christmas,
Taken

Great passage to read before going to bed: John 14.1-6; verse 27 :)

I know how lack of sleep can affect you. I've dealt with that for years, and I pray that God will give you relief through deep, restful sleep!

I usually don't have a problem going to sleep, but staying asleep. Like you, I get a lot of praying done during that time. I don't know if you've tried this, but warm milk helps me get drowsy sometimes.

As you age it's a new era. You really are a stranger in a strange land. But the same God is God overall and I trust will help me here. Familiar things pass away as we journey on. But we have a guide that will see us every step. Fear not is our byword.

We have a hope that the world does not know or believe. Jesus has already gone before us.

Sleeping when it hits you is best I think.

May you and your dear daughter share the joy of going to that same destination that Revelation 21 speaks of, the Lamb being the light thereof. :)

I have been there Frank and I do understand. The spiritual attacks manifest in many ways.....lack of sleep, illness, negative attitude and so forth. I am constantly restoring peace in my home after my daughter has been here. (I may have shared somewhere here)…...What I have learned to do lately in all this is to rejoice in my trials and tribulations....thanking God for the opportunity to overcome what the enemy has set before me to be a stumbling block. His Word says...... "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.". Revelation 12:11. WHEREVER evil appears it is to be fought with by the children of God in the name of Jesus, and in the power of the Holy Ghost.

I will pray and agree with you for strength and for peace. I have just learned how powerful this scripture teaching is......The Peace of God that surpasses all understanding shall guard your heart and mind...This is an actual powerful defense weapon against the enemy! If he can't steal your peace that comes from God then he is rendered completely powerless when he sends his attacks. Monday I drove my car to work and as I parked smoke began to pour out of the hood.....I looked and oil was spewing everywhere.....ugh....had to have it towed to mechanic shop for repairs....I wanted to get depressed and feel sorry for myself because I couldn't afford this....but then I was quickly reminded of 6 families earlier that morning that lost everything they owned in an apartment fire....and one person died. So I spent the rest of the day praying for them and just being thankful that my situation was nothing compared to theirs. And I had PEACE....the peace that surpasses all understanding because I knew that I have a Father who provides what I need when I need it most.

This is my prayer for you and what I will stand on....
6Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think on these things.…

God Bless You and Your Wife.

(And the enemy....powerless....he is pathetic and powerless when it comes to God's promises in His Word.)
