Ive always wondered this and I would like to figure it out so it doesnt become an unnecessary thorn. In Job 1:6-86 One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them. 7 The LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it." 8 Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil."So here we see Satan walking and going wherever he pleases, even Heaven. This depiction of Satan in Job kind of paints him out to be the "trickster" or the "troublemaker"Then jumping over to Jesus' words in the NT,John 8:44Passage John 8:44:You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Here it seems like in the Lords' own words that Satan is not to be dealt with in anyway except one. Jesus had his run-ins with the devil several times, but here it seems like this isnt the same Lord who took the "Job Challenge"Thoughts please

In Job he is talking directly to Satan who was free to walk to and fro upon the earth he has not been able to do so since the death on the cross for all intensive purposes Satan was conquered he is currently held in heaven by Michael Rev 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, (the dragon is Satan, he is called many names including death)only his evil spirits and tares roam the earth now in John 8:44 it is the Tares/Kennites(descendants of Cain) he is speaking to.

Thanks Kriss,Call me sloooowww, but I did not realize Satans ability to walk on the earth has been taken away. Although it fits all that I know. But still Kriss, you have to admit, the way the Lord talks to and treats the Devil,Lucifer,Satan changed- or at least appeared to.
