I'm not convinced Jesus sent Paul for reasons contained in John' testimony, which I understand it to mean the spirit-light Paul saw and felt may not be what we expect due to the differences John outlines as a spirit from God.

Wow, you really ascribe a lot on to Paul that he doesn't deserve. That is too bad, for God hates scoffers.

Have I got this wrong as well, but Paul didnt say he saw Jesus come in the flesh?
Not sure how you attribute me scoffing, you asked me to provide you with the verses that emphatically warn about false prophets (#173)?, so I did, ok it is no means exhaustive I just make a point that we are not to just take anyone for granted and John gives specific instructions on how to test the spirit as coming from God which I simply applied the same instruction to the spirit Saul described (in his own words too!)... If Paul is the real deal what is wrong with checking with a sincere heart?
How do we ever, in all areas of life check we are not being lied to? kinda wish Paul was my next door neighbor so we could get to know each other and see for myself...but I can't

I don't want to see you get so skeptical that you no longer have the faith of a child. You can't receive without faith. Right now you've not allowed yourself access to the riches of 3/4 of the New Testament. That's a lot.
No worries. I still have Jesus so hopefully my salvation is not effected?
Paul or no Paul, it wont stop me loving God or my neighbors as I do myself and I will continue to do my very best to grow in the spirit and doing good works according to the teachings of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

actually you do not have the authority to judge salvation who is saved who is not... on the Damascus road ..Jesus called paul out . at this point everyone has given you scripture to show your error . yet you ignore it.. i would do some deep soul checking if i was you . how will you answer when you give and account at the judgement seat ?

"If the truth of God has been spread by my lie, then why am I judged a sinner."

Well I may ask you again then.
Can I find salvation having heard Jesus and confessing with my lips, sincere of heart but never having heard Paul?
Is Paul the ONLY way to salvation?

paul is NOT the way to salvation ..but paul preached the message of Grace... for you to reject paul as saved you reject christ teaching .the sincere of your heart is found in Romans 10;10 which the apostle Paul wrote through the inspiration of the Holy spirit .. might i add you dont find salvation you accept it ...you got big problems
you judged your self by your own words telling you that you got big problems is not judging and you do saying paul was not forgiven
The truth offends those who believe lies, we see it all the time. Running away isnt going to change the truth..
