Well i don't know much but they pray something like 5x a day. When praying they always face east towards this rock (I can't think of the specific name right now). They have 5 pillars to their faith. They do believe in Jesus, they believe he was a prophet but not the son of God. Which is actually kind of weird b/c they believe that prophets do NOT lie and even though Jesus said he was the son of God they don't believe him. I guess that doesn't count or something. Like I said I don't know much about it, just what I have picked up from muslims at school.

I guess I want to know more about their symbols. Why is there a crescent moon and a star, what does it represent?

Well to be honest, In symbolic, stars are referred to angels. Lucifer means morning star and the fact Islam attacks Christ paints a true picture that it is clearly Satanic...

The crescent moon and star symbol actually pre-dates Islam by several thousand years. Information on the origins of the symbol are difficult to ascertain, but most sources agree that these ancient celestial symbols were in use by the peoples of Central Asia and Siberia in their worship of sun, moon, and sky gods. There are also reports that the crescent moon and star were used to represent the Carthaginian goddess Tanit or the Greek goddess Diana. The city of Byzantium (later known as Constantinople and Istanbul) adopted the crescent moon symbol. According to some reports, they chose it in honor of the goddess Diana. Others indicate that it dates back to a battle in which the Romans defeated the Goths on the first day of a lunar month. In any event, the crescent moon was featured on the city's flag even before the birth of Christ. The early Muslim community did not really have a symbol. During the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Islamic armies and caravans flew simple solid-colored flags (generally black, green, or white) for identification purposes. In later generations, the Muslim leaders continued to use a simple black, white, or green flag with no markings, writing, or symbolism on it. It wasn't until the Ottoman Empire that the crescent moon and star became affiliated with the Muslim world. When the Turks conquered Constantinople (Istanbul) in 1453, they adopted the city's existing flag and symbol. Legend holds that the founder of the Ottoman Empire, Osman, had a dream in which the crescent moon stretched from one end of the earth to the other. Taking this as a good omen, he chose to keep the crescent and make it the symbol of his dynasty. There is speculation that the five points on the star represent the five pillars of Islam, but this is pure conjecture.

They do not pray to the moon or the stars … the pray to Allah the creator of them((Among His Signs are the Night and the Day, and the Sun and the Moon. Adore not the sun and the moon, but adore Allah, Who created them, if it is Him ye wish to serve )) QuranIbrahim (PBUH ) was making a test for the people how worshiping the moon and the stars to lead them to the creator in Quran ((So also did We show Ibrahim the power and the laws of the heavens and the earth, that he might (with understanding) have certitude. [76] When the night covered him over, he saw a star: he said: "This is my Lord." But when it set, he said: "I love not those that set." [77] When he saw the moon rising in splendour, he said: "This is my Lord." But when the moon set, he said: "Unless my Lord guide me, I shall surely be among those who go astray." [78] When he saw the sun rising in splendour, he said: "This is my Lord; this is the greatest (of all)." But when the sun set, he said: "O my people! I am indeed free from your (guilt) of giving partners to Allah[79] "For me, I have set my face, firmly and truly, towards Him Who created the heavens and the earth, and never shall I give partners to Allah." [80] His people disputed with him. He said: "(Come) ye to dispute with me, about Allah, when He (Himself) hath guided me? I fear not (the beings) ye associate with Allah: unless my Lord willeth, (nothing can happen). My Lord comprehendeth in His knowledge all things. Will ye not (yourselves) be admonished? [81] "How should I fear (the beings) ye associate with Allah, when ye fear not to give partners to Allah without any warrant having been given to you? Which of (us) two parties hath more right to security? (Tell me) if ye know.))They also facing [ Baca ] while praying … not for [ Baca ] itself … they doing this because they believe in unity … and in [Baca ] the first house for worshiping god .((The first House (of worship) appointed for men was that at Bakka; full of blessing and of guidance for all kinds of beings))

This is some good information when your trying to witness to one concerning the Quran! In Surah 5.68 It states that a believer in Allah will obey the Taurat which is the Torah to the Jews: the first 5 books of the bible and to obey the Injeel which is the Gospels of the new testament! But most muslims will say that the bible is corrupt so Allah had to write another book called the Quran!Which is rediculous because the Quran tells you to obey the bible!

This is some good information when your trying to witness to one concerning the Quran! In Surah 5.68
This is the verse you bring ((Say: "O People of the Book! Ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord. "It is the revelation that cometh to thee from thy Lord, that increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. But sorrow thou not over (these) people without Faith.)) 5 : 68but i think you mean these verses ((It was We who revealed the Law (to Musa): therein was guidance and light. By its standard have been judged the Jews, by the Prophets who bowed (as in Islam) to Allah's Will, by the Rabbis and the Doctors of Law: for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah's Book, and they were witnesses thereto: therefore fear not men, but fear Me, and sell not My Signs for a miserable price. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) Unbelievers. )) ((And in their footsteps We sent 'Isa the son of Maryam, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah.)) 5 :46
But most muslims will say that the bible is corrupt so Allah had to write another book called the Quran!
The Christians themselves said the bible is corrupt …this saying coming from the chaplains.. history searcher … believers of Christianity … I do not need to go far in time from the first century in Christianity ((I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: )) Gala 1 : 6((For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. )) 2nd Cor 11 : 13 -15This is only a sample from the bible itself … no need to bring your people or the many revisions of the bible as witnessesAllah told us about you ((Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say: "This is from Allah," to traffic with it for a miserable price! Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby. )) Surah 2 :79so why you are angry about the Muslims saying
Which is rediculous because the Quran tells you to obey the bible!
((Then the book will be given to the one who is illiterate, saying, "Please read this." And he will say, "I cannot read.")) ISH 29 : 12((Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (Scriptures) - in the Law and the Gospel - for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); he releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the Light which is sent down with him, it is they who will prosper." ))surah 5 :157This is not the ridiculous : my prophet is mentioned in your bible … also the bible ordered you to follow the last prophet ( we are now in year 2008 and you still waiting for the last prophet ) … My friends the last prophet came and died before 1420 years and you still waiting… thank you ...

Where is your prophet mentioned in our Bible?Your prophet is a false prophet! That leads many astray!Jesus is the one true Prophet that we must follow, He is the only way, the only truth and the only life! He said that there was no other way to the Father but through Him!
