God the Father and God the Holy Ghost are one eternal Spirit (Hebrews 9:14); however they are distinct according to what each has experienced, as the Father is the Holy Ghost's "past". While He has descended and then ascended again to become outside of time (Ephesians 4:10, Isaiah 57:15); and is also capable of descending into time again so that He was able to be present at Jesus' baptism after His release to the Father, which according to time was yet future. For God exists in one eternal moment.

not in reply to #699.
This is not the God of the bible. Not even close.

How does this bolster your error of the Holy Spirit being the Father and the Son? It only proves God is Spirit and the rest of scriptures defines the One Spirit as three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
If the one Spirit is three Persons, how do you define that as not being three Spirits? Is the Holy Spirit triphrenic?

In the creeds it is said that Father Son and Holy Ghost are made of one essence.

I would say that the essence is the one Spirit; and, as @101G says so clearly, the Spirit of God dwells in Jesus in all of His fulness while remaining outside of time in diversified Oneness, as God shares Himself in flesh. Thus the essence of God is the Father, the one Spirit; and he shares His essence with the flesh body of Jesus Christ (the Son) for that one Spirit is Jesus Christ (1 John 4:1-3, 2 John 1:7).

That's what you think.
Trinity. The Christian understanding of God as triune. Trinity means that the one divine nature is a unity of three persons and that God is revealed as three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The ultimate basis for the Christian doctrine of the Trinity lies in the divine self-disclosure in Jesus, who as the Son revealed the Father and poured out the Holy Spirit.

But the Holy Spirit is a distinct person. The Father is a distinct person. And the Son is a distinct person. To see God in anyway different from this is to follow a false Christ and worship an idol of your own making.
"Today, if you will hear His voice, harden not your heart as in the day of provocation." (Hebrews 3:7-8, Hebrews 3:15, Hebrews 4:7).

Person = the I, Me, components of consciousness. There are three persons in the Godhead speaking in the first person about the others in the second person. But all of the same Spiritual essence.

I am not in disagreement with that statement.

I would say that it was not a second God that descended and neither was it 1/3 of God however.

Then the Holy Spirit is not the Father or the Son as you said several times.

So many places where God says, "there is no God besides me" in scripture. Why doesn't God say, there is no God besides us? For future reference when you come across it in your reading/devotional time, in Isaiah.

That's because the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. Of the same single spiritual essence.

The Holy Spirit is the continuation of the Father and the Son (read them in order: John 4:23-24, Ephesians 4:4, John 14:7-11, Luke 23:46)

The Holy Spirit is eternally God. So is the Father and the Son.

I cannot explain it to you, as simple as it is. You are set in your ways. And you will not look at the scriptures that I reference, with understanding.

I have joined the true church by receiving baptism in Jesus' Name. I believe in Jesus with all of my heart, He is my Lord and Saviour. I suggest you read Luke 6:37 and Isaiah 54:17.

If you were genuinely baptized to confess Jesus Christ as Lord, then it was not a scheme to defeat Oneness Pentecostalism by becoming as we are so that you could say that you also have the Holy Ghost and try to convince us of Tritheism.

God knows your heart; and would have given or not given you the Holy Ghost based on what your motivations were for being baptized.

I'm certain that you know your own heart, too; and will leave it at that.
