There's a ton of stuff in this life that can eat away at our joy, steal our confidence, and consume our thoughts. Eventually, we are just so often side tracked or consumed by all of life's 'stuff.'

But, “because of the Lord’s great love, you will not be consumed; His compassions never fail” Lamentations 3:22. love that!

When we trust the compassion of God, we are not consumed by our problems or by fear. Because of His love and compassion, we are not overtaken by what overwhelms us.

Press hard into God's compassion .....rest in His provision and take in all He has done and will continue to do for us. His compassions never fail, so let's not ever fail to tune ourself see them. :)

Thank-you.

Dispensationally I would tend to see the book as being partly about the relationship between the Beloved and Israel, rather than the church.
What we do see is our vision. Our vision according to the words written by Paul is as "through a glass darkly", which means it certainly can be clearer than it is.

Give God the glory!

God gives you His grace...His sufficient, forever grace.
His grace will not take us away from the pains and disappointments and limitations and heartaches of life on a broken planet, but it will sustain us, deepen us, strengthen us, change us, and overflow our life in a way that simple deliverance from pain or hardship never could.

So, thank God for His grace today.

"...it will sustain us, deepen us, strengthen us, change us, ..." Truer words never spoken. We would flat on our faces and fast, if it weren't for His Grace. ♥

Every hard duty that lies in our path, that we would rather not do, that it will cost us pain and struggle or sore effort to do, has a blessing in it.
Not to do it, at whatever cost, is to miss the blessing.

Every hard piece of road on which we see the Master’s shoe-prints and along which He bids us follow Him, surely leads to blessing, which we cannot get if we cannot go over the steep, thorny path.

Every point of battle to which we come, where we must draw our sword and fight the enemy, has a possible victory which will prove a rich blessing to our life. Every heavy load that we are called to lift hides in itself some strange secret of strength.

Great words! Sometimes He brings us to the precipice before acting. If He say's to "do it" then, He will give what is needed to complete the task, no matter the size of the mountain! FAITH till the end ♥

The path of Christ is through a continuing forsaking of the world...as well as a continuing trust in His ways. We glory in the cross so that we are not seriously affected when things go well or badly. Both are in the Lord's hands. We don't draw strength from good happenings any more than we draw death from evil happenings. We draw strength, rather from God who is always faithful and constant.

Love not the world or the things of this world. They are transitory in their goods and evils. Draw life from God.

Romans 8
39 ... height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 10.10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 16.33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Gen. 15:12.

The sun at last went down, and the swift, eastern night cast its heavy veil over the scene. Worn out with the mental conflict, the watchings, and the exertions of the day, Abraham fell into a deep sleep, and in that sleep is soul was oppressed with a dense and dreadful darkness, such as almost stifled him, and lay like a nightmare upon his heart.

It is thus that human life is made up; rightness and gloom; shadow and sun; long tracks of cloud, succeeded by brilliant glints of light, and amid all Divine justice is working out its own schemes, affecting others equally with the individual soul which seems the subject of special discipline.

Ye who are filled with the horror of great darkness because of God's dealings, learn to trust that infallible wisdom, which is co-assessor with immutable justice; and know that He who passed through the horror of the darkness of Calvary, with the cry of forsakenness, is ready to bear you company through the valley.

Let us, send forward our anchor, Hope, within the veil.. where it will grapple in the Rock and will not yield, but hold until The Day dawns.

Pursuing after Jesus is a bit like riding a bike, as I ride up the hill and which seem relentless, I than see the part where I see it flattens out a bit so I know I have time to rest, than while climbing I know there is a time where i will go down the other side and I will get more rest, than when I see my destination ahead, it doesnt seems so hard, knowing when I get there I will finally be able to lay down my head and rest.

Mat_11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

and I shall rest in Him from all my own works as God did from His.

Have faith today, my friend.
Even if our faith feels tiny and weak, have faith anyway.
Believe that God can do, will do, and is doing what is best for you.

Focus your faith on His will, not just our desired outcome. And, then let it go. Trust Him with the outcome.

Believing “for” the healing, or the deliverance, or the provision isn’t what faith is.
Believing “IN” The Healer, Deliverer, and Provider is what faith is.

*It takes just as much faith to bear a burden as it does to believe that it can be removed.

Jesus Christ is the Author and Finisher of our faith, so let us let go of the pen and let Him write our story.

JOSH. 1:5. Josh. 21:45. -Num. 23:19. Deut. 7:9. Psa. 1l1:5. Isa. 49:15,16. Zeph. 3:17.

Think upon me, my God, for good.

Thus saith the LORD; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness. — I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant. — I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you. — For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. — I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause: which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvelous things without number. — Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them they are more than can be numbered.

Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day!
Today, let’s look for it!
If we look for the good, we will find it. And unfortunately, if we look for the bad, we will see it big time, every time and all the time!
Let’s be people who live by Philippians 4:8 today.

Lord, help us to guard our thoughts and dwell on what is good and lovely. Draw our gaze to see how good You are and how good our lives are ....when we focus on the Good first. ✟

Feelings aren’t always the same things as facts. They might feel real, but that doesn’t mean they always correspond with reality.

I’m not saying that we throw our feelings out and discount them. No.. Emotions are important and a gift from God. But because they can be very powerful and very present, it’s easy to believe they represent facts!

So, when our emotions get squirrely every now and then, we can apply 2 Corinthians 10:5, “Hold every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.”
We can - Grab that feeling and make it agree with Truth!
