And if you were honest - which you're NOT - you would ALSO see that this is a symbol of GOD's strength . . .

Isa. 40:31
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Psalm 103:5
Who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Exod. 19:4
You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself.

Rev. 12:14
But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle so that she might fly from the serpent into the wilderness, to the place where she is to be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time.

Jer. 48:40
For thus says the Lord: “Behold, one shall fly swiftly like an eagle and spread his wings against Moab;

Jer. 49:22
Behold, one shall mount up and fly swiftly like an eagle and spread his wings against Bozrah, and the heart of the warriors of Edom shall be in that day like the heart of a woman in her birth pains.”

Deut. 32:11
Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that flutters over its young, spreading out its wings, catching them, bearing them on its pinions,

Job 39:27-30
Is it at your command that the eagle mounts up and makes his nest on high? On the rock he dwells and makes his home, on the rocky crag and stronghold.”

NO WONDER why your little online forum died such a painful death . . .

Again you lie about my website.

roman eagle standard at DuckDuckGo

And in all of the verses you gave it as a living eagle.

I couldn't care less for your thread derailment or your wierd assumed thing about a little online forum (evidence?).
Catholicism is ALL about earthly riches and hoarding treasure, plus other serious perversions that are rampant in your earthly church and that is all I need to know about it to know I want no part of it.
Understood?
He was pleased because Solomon did what he was commanded to do you ring kissing fool.

And remember, the Eagle on the Pope staff is a Roman legion god.
The Pope' mitre looks a bit fishy, like it was copied straight out of the babylonian attire manual of the pagan god dagon (worshipped by the philistine amorites).

Then you must have illustrated examples.
Please enlighten us . . .

Well, sounds like there still isn't agreement on this.

How about this as a suggestion: If you feel like anything you own could be used as a distraction or a form of worship, then get rid of it. If not, then don't worry. Let the Holy spirit guide you on this and it will become clear.

In peace

...If you feel like...

This does seem to be the order of the day with most of the commandments.
Ask 10 people and they all believe they are being guided by the Holy Spirit yet cannot agree.
I would love to know the truth.

But most people are really like Pontius Pilate. Jesus did have an answer, however...

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32

People think they can figure out and know the truth by long and careful study of the Bible, but they are wrong.

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Does this include, certain art forms, photography, motion picture and hologram?

Obviously sculpture and cast idols wr already know are included as forbidden in this Commandment due to the biblical record.

What about the former. All modern evil influences (mediums) seem to include forms of idolatry or sin.
Magazines...celebs
Pornography...MTV awards etc and worse.
Live sports/live feeds
Film...
Art work with music
CCTV Big brother...

They all do at least carry intent.
Many would already agree, appeal to certain types or are needed for satan to corrupt Gods children?

No, because even the ark of the covenant bore graven images of angels, and the graven image used to heal the Israelites was a bronze serpent made by Moses. Graven images are evil only when they are used to bow down to them and worship, but not if they are used for decoration.

Graven images are evil only when they are used to bow down to them and worship, but not if they are used for decoration. The instructions were limited to the making of the arc only and the wider scope outside of specific instruction to make decorations is a man made one.

God commanded they be made like they were under his instruction only, once made there was no need to duplicate the process and nor was there ANY commands to continue making graven images for decorum in the likeness God previously instructed, as they were defined by God to be made to look like something otherwise not found in the heavens, on earth or in the sea.

Seek after Christ He is the truth,

Luk_11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

and He does answer, takes faith.

God does not command man to do evil, if indeed merely making a graven image is evil according to you. It is idolatry that is evil, which is even why the bronze serpent Moses made had to be destroyed, because of idolatry, not because graven images are intrinsically evil. If graven images are intrinsically evil, then photographs are also intrinsically evil, and even you navigating the internet is intrinsically evil, since everything being displayed to you through your computer are images. Do not be foolish and understand the command of God of why he does not want man to make graven images, to not worship them, not because they themselves are intrinsically evil. Should a man decide to decorate his home with silver birds because he thinks birds are beautiful, and does not worship them, he is not doing evil.

God commanded these men of the bible to make the images which is distinct from man making his own graven images. The two are distinct from eachother because God is commanding the manufacture or forbading it, second is that these images are not of the sky, land or under water/sea which is SPECIFIED.
The statue of Liberty is not worshipped per say, however it is IMPOSING on the senses of man and is therefor introduced to the mind of man on the part of its presence alone. It can be seen.

If a giant statue of Moloch appeared in Washington DC for no apparent reason but for expression of it's artistic value (decorum), would you be ok with that?

Moloch was a graven image that was previously worshiped, which makes it an idol. Buddha is a graven image that is currently worshiped, which makes it an idol even for decorative purposes. The graven image of the virgin Mary is bowed down to and kissed, which makes her an idol even for decorative purposes. There is a distinction between graven images used by man for idolatry, which are an abomination to God, and simple graven images for decorative purposes, like silver birds, teddy lambs, plush doggies, etc.

Nice dodge . . .

Ummm, first of all - I was responding to the following ignorant statement by Danube:
"The Pope' mitre looks a bit fishy, like it was copied straight out of the babylonian attire manual of the pagan god dagon (worshipped by the philistine amorites)."

Not only does what YOU posted have NOTHING to do with Philistines or Amorites - it has ZERO to do with the Catholic Church.
Try again, sparky . . .

No Dodge, just don't like the facts, such as SPQR came from pagan Rome and refers to the pagan Roman Senate.

And . . . so??

Gladiators
and aqua ducts also came from pagan Rome.
What does that have to do with the Church??
