Job was born the year after Joseph was sold, and died 119 years after the death of Joseph. When Joseph died, Job was ninety-one. So when the double blessing did include length of years, then his affliction took place twenty-one years prior, when he was seventy. His removal from Egypt to Uz must therefore have taken place earlier still. When Job died Moses was fifty-five years old, and had been in Midian fifteen years, or twenty five years before the Exodus from Egypt. This would account for Job being a worshipper of the God of Abraham, and explains how Moses could have been the author of this book, and perhaps the eye and ear witness of the events it records in Midian.Job was a type of God's elect. So if you are one of God's elect, this is a type of you, yourself, especially in these end days. In these end times Satan's reign will be so strong that the entire world will be taken in by him. However you have an advantage that the rest of the world does not have. You know the truths of God's Word that Job did not have. Christ had not yet walked and suffered on this earth. Jesus has come and given those that follow Him the power and the authority over Satan, when we come to Him through repentance in Jesus name, and take that power that is rightfully ours. Job did not have that power, nor the authority to order Satan out of his life; but he knew the God of Abraham. If you think you have it rough today, put yourself in Job's shoes. When all these things were happening to him, Job did not have the power of the Holy Spirit to put Satan in his place. "Job" in the Hebrew tongue is "Iyyob" and means "afflicted, or persecuted". The only person that was persecuted more than Job in the Bible, was our Lord Jesus Christ, and we will see from the book of Job that God repaid Job well for his commitment to stand by his convictions and remain a true servant of God. God repaid Job double for all those things that Satan was allowed to take from him. So any time things get a little rough, that is the time to think back on Job and the suffering that he went through, and it is an example for each of us.Job 1:1 "There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil."Again, Job means "persecuted". When Job was good and walked upright and perfect before the Lord, he had reverence for God, and he hated evil. Job did not even want to be around evil, he just would not put up with any form of evil ["eschewed evil"].Job 1:2 "And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters."Job had ten children, and seven (sons) in biblical numerics is perfection [Seven thousand being the number for the elect of the end times], and the number three for the daughter represent the trinity. It was through the daughters that the Christ child would come, and complete the trinity came to pass.Job 1:3 "His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of Oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east."Is it an accident that Job had seven thousand sheep, for the elect of the end times is also called "the seven thousand" of God's sheep. Paul quoted Elijah in Romans 11:4, how that God would make intercession for His elect of Israel in the end times. When the altars of God will be torn down and the entire world goes chasing after the Satan the Antichrist, there are "seven thousand" of the elect that will hold their ground and stand firm against him. This is like an arrow pointing this passage to God's elect, that remnant of the seven thousand that will hold fast against Satan, that have the eyes to see and the ears to hear God's Word. One "Thousand" in Biblical numerics symbolizes "divine completion", and this also is three times divine completion. Job was the greatest man of his day, so much so that all the world was aware of Job and his wealth. Moses knew exactly who Job was and all the details of his wealth, for Moses was one of the best educated of his day. Being taken into Pharaoh's house, and educated as one of his sons, able to rule Egypt if necessary. When it says that Job was the "greatest of all the men of the east", it doesn't mean that Job was Oriental, but that he was the richest man east of the Palestine, in Edom, the land of Esau's children.Job 1:4 "And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them."The feast days spoken of here are their birthdays. In other words, every time one of the children had a birthday, Job called for all of the children of Job to come and celebrate the birthday with a feast. This is much like many families celebrate even today.Job 1:5 "And it was so, when the days of their fasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, "It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts." Thus did Job continually."Every time that these birthdays would take place, Job would rise up early the next morning to go before the Lord with burnt offerings for each of his children. Job prayed for each of his children to the Lord, for the forgiveness of those sins that may have occurred during the feast. Job knew that one of his children in a wild state of drunkenness, may have renounced the Lord God. Not only was Job continually begging God forgiveness for his own sins, but he was begging God for forgiveness for each of his children also.So why do you suppose these birthdays were brought in for this study? The birth date as far as the seven thousand are concerned, is the time when the seven thousand will live, and the blood flows through their veins. It is the time that each of the elect have a deep level of understanding as to the days we are living in. This book is pointed directly at you, if you are one of the "elect" of God. If you are one of God's elect, you have a destiny and a purpose for your life, and that destiny and purpose is to make a stand against the Antichrist when he comes to earth. Satan will appear in Jerusalem very soon.Job 1:6 "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.""The sons of God" as it is used here are the "angels", and we see here that Satan is right there in heaven with them also. However in the Hebrew manuscript text it is very explicit, for it identifies "the Satan", "the Adversary" by name. Many teachers today would have you believe that "Satan" as used here is not a real person, but a condition, but that is not so. Satan the person stood before God and was making these statements. Don't confuse the supernatural man "Satan", with the many "antichrists" that are in the world today, for the man Satan will come when the many "antichrists" have prepared the world for accepting him as their savior.Job 1:7 "And the Lord said unto Satan, "Whence comest thou?" Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, "From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it."The "earth" is "erets" in the Hebrew, the very planet that we are living on today. Satan had returned to heaven to stand before God, and he returned to heaven from earth. If you think that it is odd that Satan will walk "to and fro" on the earth in his role as the Antichrist in our generation, that is exactly what he did during this time Job. So here the heavenly Father is addressing Satan, and all the other countless souls are standing by and watching this discussion take place. Satan was walking "to and fro" on the earth to see who he could catch off guard, and cause them to sin.Job 1:8 "And the Lord said unto Satan, "Hast thou considered My servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?"When God spoke to Satan, He asked Satan, "Have you seen my man Job while you were down there on earth? What do you think of My man Job?" If God placed this same request to Satan about any one of us what do you think God would have to say about you?Job 1:9 "Then Satan answered the Lord and said, "Doth Job fear God for nought?" Satan is asking God, "Does Job fear God for nothing?" Sure Satan saw Job, but remember what condition Job was in?Job 1:10 "Hast not Thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land."God blessed Job and his family beyond all other men of the day.Job 1:11 "But put forth Thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and He will curse Thee to Thy face." Do you see how Satan works? Satan works deceitfully, and in a way to catch you off guard, but Satan always tries to find one little point to find leverage to use against you. Satan will test your weakness at your weakest point.Job 1:12 "And the Lord said unto Satan, "Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand." So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord."Satan told God that if you take all this power and wealth that Job has from him, he will curse you to your face. This is the same thing that Satan is using against God's elect in this final generation.Job 1:13 "And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:"Many believe that this was Job's seventieth birthday, and God is allowing Satan to destroy and take away many things out of Job's life.Job 1:14 "And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, "The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them:"Job 1:15 "And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee." This should remind us of Ezekiel 33, where by there was one watchman on the wall, and when the city of Jerusalem was smitten, there was one that escaped to come and report that the city was smitten.Job 1:16 "While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, "The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee." When God gives Satan the latitude to do something, and put limits to Satan's destruction, you can count on Satan doing all that God will allow him to do. What happened to the seven thousand sheep? "The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants..." God is a consuming fire, and the star that is going to fall from heaven, with the locust of fallen angels from the bottomless pit, is Satan, when he comes to deceive the whole earth. Revelation 9:1 tells us of that time at the fifth trumpet, when God gives Satan [the star that falls] the "key of the bottomless pit"; the right and authority to do all that Satan will do all those supernatural act in those five month before Christ's return at the seventh trump. What happened in Job's day is a type of what shall happen in the latter days.Job 1:17 "While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, "The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee." In one day, Job's wealth was wiped out, and he was left with nothing. Stop and think for a moment, in one change in the markets, one fire, one lawsuit, or the fall of the company you work for; overnight all those things you rely on can end unexpectedly, and change your entire life. This is what happened to Job.Job 1:18 "While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, "Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's:"Even Job's children were killed by the great hurricane or tornado that passed through the house where they were eating and drinking and having their great celebration.Job 1:19 "And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the for corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee."Job has now lost the most prized possession, that of his own family, his children.Job 1:20 "Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,"After Job had lost it all, he turned his attention to God, and fell down and worshipped God. Job was an upright man, and even today we have the Holy Spirit of God to fall back on when the things get a little tough in our lives. If you had lost all your wealth and your entire family in one day, think about what your next action would be; would it be to worship God, and thank him for your life?Job 1:21 "And said, "Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." This is Job's reaction and prayer to God. What would your prayer be when the time of testing comes into your life. Still all that Job could do is to give God the praise for the breath of life that he had.Job 1:22 "In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly."Job 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. Job 2:2 And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. In the days of Job Satan could walk physically upon the earth, (Now after being conquered by Christ's death on the cross, Satan is physically held captive by Michael,(Rev.12:7) But his evil spirits roam the earth ) Job 2:3 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. Job 2:4 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. Satan is now saying that if Job's life was threatened, he would curse God to save his own skin. To what point in a man's life would he curse God to save his life in the flesh? Is there a limit that we can reach to where life is more important than our position before the Father in heaven?Job 2:5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. God let Satan destroy Job's property, but he would not let Satan touch Job's flesh. Now Satan wants God to allow him to give Job all sorts of sickness and physical problems. When Satan gets done with Job, Satan is telling God that he will have Job cursing you.Job 2:6 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life. Satan is told he can not kill Job but only smite him. This is the same thing Satan is told in Rev. when he gets kicked unto earth during the tribulation (Rev.12) Job 2:7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown. Job 2:8 And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes. Job was smitten so bad with these sore boils that he didn't even have fingernails left to scrape the puss from his running boils, but he took a broken pot shell to scrape himself with. What did Job do to deserve these boils to be brought upon himself? The Word of God just told us that Satan brought them upon Job, to prove Job would fall and curse God. Satan did it to Job. Unlike Job, we have the power to order Satan away from us, but we must take that power, and use it. If you believe in Jesus Christ and by your repenting in the name of Jesus, He gave you the power over all evil spirits as well as Satan. Job 2:9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. Job's wife didn't even support poor ole Job,She is encouraging him to give up,curse God. This will be how it is when Antichrist is here your very family will be trying to get you to curse God and follow the Antichrist/Satan Job 2:10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips. Job did not sin nor curse God with his lips. Though the pain was great, not once did he blame God and say one thing against God.Job 2:11 Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him. Job knew these three friends, and they knew each other. When they all got word of Jobs losses and sickness, they were willing instantly to come to their friends side for Job's comfort. Each of these men thought that Job needed them, but all that Job needed was God. We will learn a great deal of wisdom form these three friends, and it will all be human wisdom from men not GodJob 2:12 And when they lifted up their eyes afar off, and knew him not, they lifted up their voice, and wept; and they rent every one his mantle, and sprinkled dust upon their heads toward heaven. Job had so many boils and sores covering his body, and the flesh was so bloated and discolored that these three friends did not even recognize their old friend. All they could do is sit down along side their friend, and weep for their old buddy. They knew that this hunk for deformed sick flesh was their old friend by Job's voice, and when Job spoke to them, they tore off their cloths and covered themselves with ash dust in sorrow for their friend. They turned their head to the heavens as they sat down beside their old friendJob 2:13 So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.Job 3:1 "After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day." Job didn't curse God, but he cursed his own birthday, the day that he was born.Job 3:2 "And Job spake, and said,"Job 3:3 "Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, 'There is a man child conceived.' "Job 3:4 "Let that day be darkness; let not God regard it from above, neither let the light shine upon it."Job is saying that he wished that God would take the very day that he was born, and remove it altogether from history.Job 3:5 "Let darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it."Job is saying remove the day from all existence, and those things that happened on that day be removed completely.Job 3:6 "As for that night, let darkness seize upon it; let it not be joined unto the days of the year, let it not come into the number of the months."He is asking that not only the day of the month, but the month also be removed from the year, and made as if it had never existed.Job 3:7 "Lo, let that night be solitary, let no joyful voice come therein.""Solitary" is isolation, Job is wishing in his remorse that the sun that shone to make that day of his birth would have not shined, so there could be no joyful voice that could ever refer to that day. Job is expressing himself as he was thinking them, while his three friends are sitting beside him, and trying to find a way to comfort him. Job did not have that light of understanding that we have today from the Scriptures; to call upon when the bad times and health are going from us. We have the light of the Word, and the Holy Spirit of God to comfort us when we are down. So don't get to hard on Job quite yet. Remember that God was allowing this to happen, and Job can't quite figure out why it is all happening to him.Job 3:8 "Let them curse it that curse the day, who are ready to raise up their mourning."In the days of Job they had expert professional cursers, and Job is saying let these friends go out and hire these cursers that they may curse the day that he was born.Job goes on for several more verse's curseing his being alive but never does he curse God.I wonder how many of us would do the same?Job 3:25 "For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me."Job 3:26 "I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came."In all this, Job is saying, "I wasn't sitting there in a safe place, nor was I lazy in my life, nor did I sit back when trouble came but met it face on, yet the trouble came to me." By this world's standards, this sounds very unfair to have Job suffer all these things when he did not deserve them. Job was perfect in his attitude and character before this trouble came his way, yet all these things did come against him. God uses his people, and that is your purpose for being on this earth; You are to be used by God for that is the only way that other will be reached with the saving knowledge of His Word. If God has used you in any manner, than you had better thank Him that you are found worth to be a vessel of the Lord's. That is the purpose for the elect of God, and if you are one of God's elect you will be able to handle any thing that Satan can dish out to you. Sometimes God will cause things to happen around you to move you to the place that He wants you to be, He moves you to a high place to give forth His Word, or do a service for Him. When it happens, don't forget to thank him for it, and if there is a separation between you and God, it was you that walked away, and not God. God was proud of Job and He bragged about Job, He asked Satan, "What do you think of My Job?" God is proud of His elect, as He was proud of Job. Satan told God, "Job is true to you only because you have build a wall around him, and with his wealth comes his praise of you. You take that protection away from Job, and He will curse you right to your face." God than allow Satan to test Job to see just how true Job was to our Heavenly Father, and He took the shield away from Job, and he lost everything. Job broke out with sore boils from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. So we see that Satan is the one that brought all these things upon Job, not God.Job 4:1 1Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said, "Eliphaz" in the Hebrew tongue means, "God is my strength." There is no other strength other than God. Today we have the Holy Spirit to turn to, so that we can rebuke Satan. Job lived in a time when he did not have that right to rebuke Satan, because Christ had not yet paid the price for our sins to set Job free.Job is sitting with his three friends, and for the past seven days, there has not been one word spoken. Now after a week of silence, Eliphaz is going to speak to Job and offer some of his advise. Remember, Eliphaz's advise is all based on Human experiences.Job 4:2 "If someone ventures a word with you, will you be impatient? But who can keep from speaking? Job's friend has been sitting there with him for a week and now is going to give him some HUMAN wisdomJob 4:3 Think how you have instructed many, how you have strengthened feeble hands. Job 4:4 Your words have supported those who stumbled; you have strengthened faltering knees. Eliphaz is reminded Job that he has picked up and strengthened the weak, and now look at what has happened to you.Job 4:5 But now trouble comes to you, and you are discouraged; it strikes you, and you are dismayed. Eliphaz is saying that you have given much advice but you have not taken any advise from others. Now with all this advice that you have given, look what your instructions to others has cause you.Job 4:6 Should not your piety be your confidence and your blameless ways your hope? This verse loses so much from the Hebrew, but what it is saying is; you have your religion and your faith but where as it gone from you. Have you lost your uprightness of your ways?Job 4:7 "Consider now: Who, being innocent, has ever perished? Where were the upright ever destroyed? Eliphaz is pointing to Job's position of poverty and sickness and he is asking Job; can you tell me one place where God has ever cut off a righteous man. Eliphaz is implying to Job that the reason for Job's condition is that Job is a sinner before God. A real good buddy, here he is implying Job must have brought this upon himself.Job 4:8 As I have observed, those who plow evil and those who sow trouble reap it. Eliphaz is saying that he sees sinners everyday out there reaping what they have sown, and now stop and look at you, Job. The implication is that Job is reaping some of what he had planted to others. However remember that God was proud of Job, no matter what is in the mind of this so called friend of Job.Job 4:9 At the breath of God they are destroyed;at the blast of his anger they perish. Now Eliphaz is turning the blame away from Job, and putting the entire blame on the Heavenly Father. Don't forget for one moment that it was Satan that was causing the harm to Job, not the Heavenly Father. Satan put the boils on Job, and Satan took the lives of his loved ones. Satan also stripped the wealth from Job, and cause him to sit here in his troubles in poverty. His purpose was to prove how God loved and trusted Job; God allowed Satan to have his way with Job, to the point of not taking his life.Let this be a reminder how well God must know our hearts,How well he must have known Job's heart even better than Job probally knew his own heartJob 4:10 "The roaring of the lion, and the voice of the fierce lion, and the teeth of the young lions, are broken."There are five Hebrew words, meaning for different types of the "lion", and they are included in the the tenth and eleventh verses.Job 4:11 "The old lion perisheth for lack of prey, and the stout lion's whelps are scattered abroad."A rough harsh man is considered a lion in the days of this writing. So now apply this to these verses. "A unrighteous man [lion], a cruel man, a loud man and so on; This speaker uses five different terms and each of them are describing Job's state of being. Job was neither of them in his life, only Eliphaz in his quest for human understand over looks that fact.Job 4:12 "Now a thing was secretly brought to me, and mine ear received a little thereof."Eliphaz is telling Job that he had a vision, and in that vision God spoke to me. This was to dress Job down a little bit and give credit to what he was going to say to Job. To add insult to Job, Eliphaz is reminding Job of the boils that are covering him, and the real losses that he has suffered. Now he turns to Job and asks Job directly what he has done to deserve such trouble in his life? In time God will intervene into the message and give us His overall plan. Man must learn to understand the heavenlies as well as the things that go on in this earth age. So are we going to see the Holy Spirit move into the discussion here?Job 4:13 "In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falleth on men,"This is what Eliphaz's vision was about. What spirits was Eliphaz listening to?Job 4:14 "Fear came upon me, and trembling, which made all my bones to shake."When you see a vision that causes your entire being to shake, that is the presence of the supernatural. There are two types of supernatural powers; one is Satanic, while the other is from our Heavenly Father. When either is present it is an awesome feeling.Job 4:15 "Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my flesh stood up:"This spirit that passed before Eliphaz in the vision, it scared him and caused him to rise to his feet.Job 4:16 "It stood still, but I could not discern the form thereof: an image was before mine eyes, there was silence, and I heard a voice, saying,"This is a thought process that is spoken of here, for the voice does not have to be audible. The only thing that matters is what the mind comprehends, and being fed into its memory. So this is what that spirit said to Eliphaz in that vision.Job 4:17 "Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his Maker?"This message is not given just for Job, because this man had also been dealt with by God. However, whatever happened to Eliphaz was given to him so that it could be recorded as part of the Scripture here. "Mortal" means "liable to die", flesh, and clay. The question asked is; What can you consider of yourself when compared to almighty God. Job 4:18Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly: .Eliphaz is talking of God of the heavenly host; God put no trust in his angels lest they be charged with folly. Satan wasn't an angel, but a protective cherub. Satan was created for a certain purpose, only he refuse to be obedient to that call Job 4:19How much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which are crushed before the moth? This is a reminder that we have very little of our thinking capacity while we are in our mortal body, so how can you ever compare yourself to an angel or any supernatural being of the glory of God. You can't. We are to put all things into perspective here,Job 4:20They are destroyed from morning to evening: they perish for ever without any regarding it. Eliphaz is reminding us from his vision of his that mortal man perishes or dies every day, and there is no way that mortal man can prolong that day that God has set for him.Job 4:21Doth not their excellency which is in them go away? they die, even without wisdom. When clay man dies every day, their soul leaves their body, and there is no wisdom left in the body. It simply doesn't matter how smart a man is or what he has in his mind, for when his life leaves his body, it is nothing but dust that remains on this earth. Unfortunately this has been altered a great deal from how it was written. This verse deals with the flesh body at death, and compares it with a tent collapsing>>>>>>What ever happened to Job was not because of what Job did, but Job's problems existed so that God's plan could be considered in the Scriptures. These words that are written down here have been considered for the past three thousand five hundred years by men and women of every generation. What happened to Job was destiny, Job's destiny is part of God's holy Word. Anyone that is part of God's elect may be moved into a position whereby God can use that person for His divine purpose. God gave Satan the right to do with Job as he would, however there was only one condition placed on Satan, "...only upon himself put not forth thine hand." God protected Job the same way that the Holy Spirit is protecting us today. We have access to the power of God, but it is up to each of us to understand that power that we have and take it to ourselves. Remember that Satan is the prince of this earth today, and he can take anything that you have on this earth if you let him. This is why we must order Satan out of our lives and that of our family, "in the name of Jesus".When all the things of this earth age were gone, Job not once blamed God for any part of the destruction that took place. What did Job's say? "Blessed be the name of the Lord." God uses even Satan to test your free will, and He will bring you to a point and location to where you can touch someone that you would not have been able to do other wise. When something happens to you and those around you, don't question the Father, but Give God the praise for what ever happens to you along the way. If God corrects you, that is something to be thankful for, for blessed is the name of the Lord.Any time that we are depressed today and the pressures seem to be to great to bear, we can turn to Christ. Jesus Christ will lighten our load to where we can bear it:The message of Job is one of Endurance. All to often today we give up to easily want and easy wat out of everything.Faith strenghens our Edurance. Spiritually speaking Edurance is found in staying in Gods truths. Dont get sidetracked by men any man even friends and family can mistakenly lead you astray. God will always see you through.for L4WtHn

Job 2:9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.
Hi ((( Kriss))) When I read about what Job 's wife said to him. I immediately thought, " Why is she being so mean to Job?" , this is the time to console her dh. So I read it again and I saw where the children died .... Was she so consumed with grief that Satan could easily tempt her? to get Job to turn from God(all part of Satan plan to change Job's heart?) I started wondering what happen to his wife. Did God spare her life? Can you tell I am enjoying this lesson about Job?.:)of course , I not only read this .. I love reading the whole Bible from cover to cover. No matter how many times you read God's Word, you are always blessed by doing so. I hope I am making sense in what I am asking. I will keep praying and searching this :study: out more. God :blessyou:

Yes I do think she was consumed with grieve. But not only for her children I think part of the reason she was so consummed with this grief and Satan could use it aginst Job was that she depended more on Job than God. Now this poor man is become useless to her. He has lost his wealth, his health, perhaps she feels he has done something to cause all this. I think the lesson here is she didnt turn to God and instead wanted Job to give up as she had done. She gave into her human emotions. How many today put there faith in men rather than God, No matter how good or holy the man may be as in Jobs case, He is still just a man and can not save you. We see people today who will follow a man that even just makes a claims to be Holy even if he teaches against scripture. Job kept his faith in God even though he did not understand he trusted in his Father. She just found no use anymore in this man. How much more does God love us that he never willing to give up on us. I do not recall for sure off hand what exactly happens to his wife, I believe she dies, I'll have to get back to this study and see if we get an answer.
