So, why do you think Christ refers to himself as the Amen? I forgot to cap the A last time lol.

I repeat, that is John speaking, not Christ. He says these are the words of the Amen, not Christ calling himself the Amen.

To the Church in Laodicea
14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:

These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation.

Thanks for quoting me..it helped me see that I had quoted it backward!!
John 14:6 ( the correct quote:- )
6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. "

Didn’t notice. Maybe I’m the one who quoted it backward. I’ve forgot the question now and why I posted. Hope you are feeling better, ByGrace.

That’s Christ saying he is the Amen.
Revelation 3:14 KJV
[14] And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God
This is correct, and Christ does call Himself "the Amen".

Amen means truly, surely, most assuredly, verily, of a truth. Christ is most assuredly the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God.

Christ's input on the subject, especially as this came out of the Sardisean church age....

Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. - Revelation 3:4-5

A few names in Sardis... Not Martin Luther or John Calvin, who defiled their garments by having people tortured and killed in the name of a doctrine.

Luther and Calvin only preached what Augustine preached.

Only Christ can do this for us.
