In Genesis chapter 11 there is a brief analysis of the postdeluvian world, a haunting description which also carries foreshadows with it to the last days when Jesus shall return to this world. There we read of a world intent upon building a tower into Heaven, a tower which in all practicality symbolises man's self glorification, and man's attempts to construct his own pathway to paradise. With the clear and full light of the New Testament for support, we can readily see that the mighty Nimrod was in fact an Old Testament foreshadowing prototype of the last days Antichrist. I think it is a significant point that the personage of Nimrod, and the history relating to Babel materialized immediately preceeding the calling of God for Abraham to come out from among the Gentile nations. Actually God's call to Abraham serves as a future paradigm for all people who separate themselves unto the Lord. The Promised Land land loomed as the prize for Abraham's descendants, but for all of us that partake of the blessing of Abraham, by being grafted into the fig tree of Israel; and its righteous Branch; Heaven looms just over the horizon as the greatest prize of all. God again will issue a call for his people to "come out" of the world; a world with a new Nimrod commanding center stage and building yet another tower into Heaven. Lets review the Biblical account of the Babel tower builders back in Genesis 11: 1-4: And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime for mortar. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto Heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. The name given to this tower building endeavor of mankind, as verse nine exhibits was "Babel". The word Babel is composed of two words. The first word, "bab" means gate; while the second word, "el", literally means God. Thus, the word, "Babel" means; "gate of God"! Balal, a closely related Hebrew word associated with Babel means, "confusion". So, in reality while many associate the confounding of languages with this confusion, also real was the confusion about the entryway to Heaven! God had specifically commanded firstly, Adam, and then secondly Noah to subdue the entire earth, and to scatter out and fill the whole land. Genesis chapter ten conveys to us that the descendants of Noah did indeed branch out upon the earth and began to establish the separate nations of peoples. The Babel ideology was exactly opposite from God's command to fill the whole earth. The great concern of mankind on the plain of Shinar became one of worries over being scattered abroad upon the face of the entire earth, which in essence caused nations to become more and more diverse and decentralized. Whereas God had designed mankind to live inside a Garden paradise, man rebelled from his first estate and began to metriculate into city-states. Apparently mankind sensed a hunger to huddle together enmass for companionship and security. However, mankind is not spiritually prepared to live in cities, as God himself is presently building a city for man to live in; a city called the New Jerusalem. Man will only be fit to live together with God after he has become a new creature in Christ. Hebrews 11:10 For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Abraham yearned for a city which had foundations built by God. Satan has incited mankind to build cities apart from God. Human beings have a need to satisfy the desires of the body and soul, and dwelling amongst cities allows for commerce, pleasure, buisness, culture, and the arts of music, food, and so forth, all the amenities of the passions of civilization. While the construction of the city of Babel represents man's workmanship in pacifying his physical needs, the construction of the Tower represents man's endeavor to satisfy the spiritual needs he has within himself. Babel's tower unto Heaven enabled man to establish himself as a priesthood which could dispense Heavenly rewards to meritorious religionists. At the heart of the entire building process lies a seed of pride. Notice the ideology of mankind in their claim regarding the building of the city and the tower. "Let us make us a name"; lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth". There was no concern about God, or his name being foremost in this endeavor. It is apparent that this project was masterminded to utilize the power of religion as a means for man to displace God from his rightful glory. I need only to remind the reader that Satan is the avowed ages-long enemy of God, and that all through each age of human history; he has opposed God, and continually schemed among humanity to secure earths scepter of sovereignty for himself. That scheme is best accomplished by inspiring mankind to come together under one umbrella, with one seat of authority. This is precisely the reason that God issued the command to subdue the whole earth, and to scatter abroad over it. Satan's ultimate scheme is to place himself upon the throne of the world's great city, and upon the tower of religious unity. as the Antichrist the False Prophet. The city, and tower of Babel prefigure the exact scenario of the Great Red Dragon, his beast, and his lamb. Genesis 10:8-9 depicts Nimrod as the Mighty Hunter before the Lord; and a mighty one in the earth. Even the name Nimrod means, "The Rebel"! His depiction as being a hunter before the Lord is in reality a portrayal of being a mighty hunter of the souls of men. The word "before" utilized in this verse indicates that the man of Babel was a counterfeit version of the promised seed of the Woman that is recorded in Genesis 3:15. Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. The seed of the serpent was destined to bruise the heel of the seed of the woman, and he did so through usurping Christ's place, and also by inflicting the sting of death on Christ at the crucifixion. In the last days another "Rebel", the Antichrist shall usurp Christ place and set himself up on another tower of exaltation. But as Daniel 2:31-35 instructs; the real Christ will smite the head of this usurper and set up his rightful and everlasting kingdom! Nimrod spearheaded a great human revolt against God by heading up the confederacy to bring all men together under the banner of making his name great, which is precisely the scheme of the Antichrist, which Jesus exposed in John 5:43 "I am come in my Father's Name, and ye receive me not; if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. There is no if's about whether one will come or not for Jesus announced in his Olivet Discourse that many, would come in his name. ( Matt 24:5 ) Nimrod was merely the first! Nimrod organized not only an imperial government over the world's peoples, but he also instituted a new world idolatrous system of worship, casting himself as the promised son of God, or "seed of the Woman"! He offerred the world security and unity, and inniated the building of the city of man, and a tower with its very top reaching into heaven. This action was an affront to God and to the ages foreordained mystery of Salvation! Nimrod's great city was constructed in Babylon, and we find that the last days "man of sin" is connected to the mystery of Babylon; and the unifying religious name constituted in the woman riding the great Beast which John the Revelator caught a view of in Revelation 17. The description of Nimrod given in Genesis 10 of a man who began to be mighty, is suggestive of the idea that Nimrod struggled for preeminence and domination over the world, through miltary and religious means, and inniated the one-world concept to exalt his own name. The Hebrew word for "mighty" used in describing Nimrod's great campaign for attaining world supremacy is "Gibbor", which means, "Chief" or" Chieftain". So in reality Nimrod was the "Chief Rebel" of the conspiracy of Satanic designs to position a seed of idolatry upon earth's throne of universal preeminence. In Luke 14:28 Jesus himself told us a story about building towers At this point Jesus began to talk about a man that sought to build a tower! No doubt Jesus was thinking back to Babel and man's efforts to build a tower into Heaven, and used that analogy to point out the futilile attempts of mankind to work his way into Heaven! Some one has accurately stated that God did for man what man could not do for himself. Immanuel was the name God appointed for his son; meaning; "God is with us". Because of the futilty of building towers into Heaven; God came down to earth, lived among men and built a tower from Heaven down to man. When will mankind see that the only Tower man needs to get into Heaven has already been provided? Psalms 18:2 says: The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my Buckler, and the Horn of my Salvation, and MY HIGH TOWER! Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a sure Tower; the righteous runneth unto it, and is safe!

Now watch how God ties this Nimrod (type of Antichrist) to tomarrows prophecy of the coming Antichrist/Enemy When does God mention this Nimrod again? Mic 5:6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver [us] from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders. (Assyrian is another name Antichrist the Leader of the Enemies of God and his people) Micah 5:1 "Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us; they shall smite the judge of Israel with rod upon the cheek."In Hebrew "Now" is "Meanwhile", as in Micah 4:10-11. This is showing that an interval between the "then present time" of Micah, and "that day" of Micah 4:1-6 is what this chapter five is talking about. The "troops" are God's people, those who love the Lord, while "He" is the enemy (Assyrian to Israel), who is the oppressor of God's people in these end times. The enemies of God are attacking, and today it is the Antichrist's System. This verse address a time when Antichrist is on earth and personally attacks Gods "elect". This is when the Sealed "elect" of God will stand against God's enemies.. Rev. 9: 4.This war is between the Antichrist and God's people, it is a spiritual warfare Ephesians 6:10-20 and the weapons are "God's words" expressed in words, ideas and concepts; Against Satan's lying wonders, and his flood of lies. Micah 5:2 "But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall He come forth unto me That is to be ruler in Israel: Whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.""Bethlehem-Ephratah" is the full name given where Christ would come from, and where he was born. Genesis 35:19, and connecting to Gen. 35:21 with Micah 4. It is the birth place of Jesus. This is a prophecy restated, prophesying of the birth of our Lord Jesus. Micah wrote this book about 603 BC, So you see he is not only prophesying to the future in his time, but a witness to what we know to be true today. Eternally it was set in motion."Whose goings forth from the Old", this message of Christ's birth came forth from ancient times, from the beginning of time in Genesis 3:15. "From everlasting", from the very foundation of the universe. The time when the signs in the heavens were placed by God. This is quoted again in Matthew 2:6.Micah 5:3 "Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: Then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.""She which travaileth:, are those that are born in Babylon, and in the "end days," are those who are born in confusion. "Hath brought forth" is reference to the coming out of confusion. How do you come out of confusion of these last days? By studying God's word, and sealing in your mind what God's word and prophecies are all about in these final day of this earth age are, "Sealing" means understanding. Doubt and deception can only take place in ignorance. The remnant of the children of Israel will know who they are at Christ's return, and that will be a day of rejoicing. All will be brought out of confusion, but all will not be saved. It's to late then.Micah 5:4 "And He shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD His God; and they shall abide; for now shall He be great unto the ends of the earth."Christ shall stand and feed His children, through the teaching and discipline to all on the earth. All will bow to Christ as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, because Satan will be in the pit for the 1000 years, in the Millennium.Micah 5:5 "And this Man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land; and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men."When the "Assyrian", or "Antichrist" shall come on the earth, and tread in our churches, then shall 7000 (seven, the numerics for spiritual completeness) shepherds (men & women of God, teaches and preachers will rise up against the Antichrist.Eight in numerics, are new beginnings, and there will be new beginnings. When the elect of God see's through the deceptions, of the Antichrist, and obtain understanding of what is to happen as the seals of God unfold, it will be a new beginning for each of them.God will use each of these people, the elect, to fulfill His part of God's plan for this earth age. And it shall happen exactly as God's Word foretold it would be.Micah 5:6 "And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: Thus shall He deliver us from the Assyrian, when He cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.:""Waste" is a deceptive use of the word. The Hebrew text says, "And they", are the elect shall rule or command gently over the deceptions of the Antichrist (Assyria) with the sword (word of God). (Revelation 1:16) tells us that sword is the sword of truth that comes from Jesus mouth. That is the two edged sword that cuts both ways.God's elect will be delivered from the tricks of the false Christ (Antichrist-Satan). When he comes to earth, as spoken of in Rev. 12:7-9. When Antichrist rules the world, including the Christians without the seal in their forehead; the elect of God, has God's Holy Spirit that will guide us and make us wiser than the serpent (Satan).Though many say this is history, from 722 B.C.; remember Micah 4:1. The time frame is the same, and this verse is still "in the Last days." This is prophecy is to our time and our generation. There is nothing new under the Sun what happened beforewill happen again. Either in a litteral or spiritual senseMicah 5:7 "And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men."Even when the Antichrist, and his entire earthly system, rules the earth; God will have His elect covering the earth with the freshness of the truth of God's word. That truth will water the earth as the showers come upon the grass. God will still have His elect in place, and with their armor on (Ephesians 6:10-20). By that time God's people who were deceived will hear the truth, and see their error. This will happen in the time and generation of the fig tree, The generation of the "Fig Tree" began May 15, 1948, when Israel became established as a nation. All prophecy referring to the fig tree is directed to you and I.
