another bad interp wadr,
I came that you might have life, and more abundantly
it is given for a man to live once
be perfect as I am perfect

from a Guy who broke like every single ordinance, no less

so, read Dialectically that means...something different, ok, it is a way to hide wisdom from the wise
the kingdom of heaven is within you

although surely flesh-thinking will not inherit
Jesus was perfect according to God’s law not mans law. He loved the Father with all his heart mind body and soul, and he loved man as he loved himself.

The kingdom of heaven is within you.
May seem off topic but is it? We are discussing ‘perfect’. Luke 14:15
[15] And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.

“blessed is he that shall eat bread in the Kingdom of God.” This stood out as clarifying where the children of God eat bread? If the bread is in the kingdom, then the children eat bread in the kingdom of God? To say the kingdom has not yet come but is on hold...is to say there is no entering in to eat of the bread in the kingdom of God.

Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you. 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Revelation 3:20
[20] Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

is ‘perfect’ is in the kingdom of God which is within?

Perhaps David speaking to his son, the next king, described the perfection God seeks in men with the words, "a perfect heart":

"And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever." I Chron 28:9

When David himself is described as the apple of his eye and a man after God's own heart is he not a perfect man according to God?
These things in spite of the terrible sins committed by David also according to the scriptures.

Also consider Job named as a perfect man here:

"There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil." Job 1:1

Job was perfect in that moment with what he had, but there was more to come as we continue reading the Book bearing his name.
Perhaps also the so called "good thief" who died on the cross next to Jesus was "perfect" in the moment he spoke with Jesus according to God.

Many of us here likely have had perfect moments as God understands them. If we strive to keep our eyes always on Him, when is it we will lose our perfection? Does God not know our hearts as He knew David's heart so David did not have to die as the law given to Moses would have required if understood literally?

Perfect is what God says it is and when He says rather than the way in which some men want to and have defined it...

It is that possibility for each of us... now... not after the dirt is thrown over our dead bodies!

"And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible." Mark 10:27

And who is that is working in us?

"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:" Col 1:27

How often is it asked where is the body? Where is the church of God? Consider Paul who when a Pharisee thought he was doing the will of God in taking those base things not highly esteemed among men and bringing them to be judged of men. Galatians 1:13-14 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: [14] And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

“...and profited in religion (exalted)above many equals ...zealous of the traditions...

James 2:1-3
[1] My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. [2] For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; [3] And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:

Luke 16:15
[15] And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

It seems those footstools...the least of these: are very likely the church(body). Luke 22:25-27 And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. [26] But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve. [27] For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.

It would help if you tried to answer a question, I 'm not interested in super spiritual messages.
How does your church, the group of people you meet with each and every week deal with scruffy people or those with learning difficulties?

To make it easier for you. My church is in a well off suburb and scruffly dressed people stand out. Yes they are aware of it as there is a big difference between wearing smart jeans and tee shirt and being scruff. Despite being welcomed ans spoken to by many people they rarely return.

We have several people with different levels of learning disability, one is so severe that there is a rota of people who accompany that child, the same team has done this for ten years building a rapour with the child and helping in what ever ways they can.

What does your church do?

Not inwardly....from the motivation. Our life is hid with God. There is an inversion that takes place whereby people accuse you of their own failings.
Jesus was perfect according to God’s law not mans law. He loved the Father with all his heart mind body and soul, and he loved man as he loved himself.
I don't disagree to these, but I have to note the lengths ppl will goto to avoid confession too.

We try "confess to God," mostly,
But I guess a lot of
"I cannot sin any longer," too,
Or there's
"Confess to a guy you call father in a dark closet,"
guess there should prolly be 2 more I'm missing,
To make one for each of the five different ways to say "believe" lol

Honestly I don’t go to church. I’ve been to countless churches but I’ve never found one where I fit. It was me, not them. Those you mentioned as visiting a few times to never return...that’s me. For most of my life I’ve struggled with panic attacks and anxiety and steered clear of public places. The panic is gone so now is the first time in my life I could actually go sit through a church service. Wish I could tell you more but I’ve never really given church a fair chance.

I wonder if Jesus was not "perfect" like suggested in that movie "Heal?" Prolly w/o having to go through all the new-agey therapy jazz, bc He was never ill, but I suspect that He got their central point, as you think, so are you maybe?

Paul tells those who are already within the Kingdom of God: LET US GO ON UNTO PERFECTION. So mull that over.
I would encourage you to watch Heal pEnoch. And imo never mind the suggested therapies for now anyway, and some of the language used by a therapist or two, that I maybe didn't agree with either. Bc there is nonetheless an important point about "perfection" in it

Interesting, he didn’t observe the sabbath. In reading the gospels He did orchestrate his on death. But he wasn’t and isn’t subject to mans’ laws
The law was changed (Hebrews 7.12); and what we now have is better than the law (Hebrews 7.19). It revolves around the fact that the Lord Jesus is made for ever a priest after the order of Melchizedek.

The new covenant to the houses of Judea and Israel and Hebrews is not in place now. The new law it will contain does not exist yet.

We are under the covenant of blood given by the Christ, which includes gentiles. The new covenant of Hebrews does not.

I'm sorry for you as you are missing an amazing experience of care, support, help, encouragement, rebukes, discouragements and shared emotions.

I've lost count of the number of emergency prayer meetings I've been called to because of an emergency etc of the times we've cried together andof rejoyced together.
