Your first two sentences contradict themselves. Which came first? Men came on the sixth day (Genesis 1:26-28) and Vegetation came on the third day. (Genesis 1:11-13) But Adam and Eve existed after men was created. (Genesis 2:7, Genesis 2:21-23) Trees are symbolic in Genesis 2 and Genesis 3.
