I guess this explains better the question earlier ...of Jacobs ladder. ? Why the gates of Zion more that all the dwellings of Jacob?

God is Spirit. He visits us here but He dwells in heavenly habitations. The point of the gospel is that God is taking visitors WHERE He lives.

I love where the disciples asked Jesus...where do you live? Jesus replied....come and see! :)

...keep trucking...you are doing well here @Episkopos best thread I have seen on this Site for many a month. :)

Thank you for the encouragement. I often decline from posting things that seem difficult to explain and even to grasp...based on how they are hidden in the Hebrew scriptures. Sometimes it is difficult to convey these types of treasures. But I'm glad that some here can appreciate these things.

I'm used to explaining things in person...with words. Typing these posts is just so limiting. :) But try I must!

Bless you

They make their abode with us, never leave or forsake. The kingdom is within. He says I knew you, same as Adam knew Eve

Jesus says that we bear fruit as we BOTH abide in Him AND He in us. We need to go after both. Only then will we have the right attitude. Only then will we be able to understand what is the depth of Jesus Christ.

You can get to know a person as they visit you where you are. But how much better to know a person than to visit that person where THEY live!!!?

But God is Spirit and He abides in the Jerusalem which is above...which is the mother of all who are born from above. We are reconciled to the living God in THAT place through faith into (and through) Christ.

He abides in heaven, not Jerusalem.

The new Jerusalem has been prepared for us when Christ comes in the rapture. But no one lives there yet.

You're making claims without proof.

Being born of the Spirit is to be born in Zion...the new Jerusalem (the mother (birthing) of us all).

This psalm is what Jesus was referring to when He told Nicodemus that he must be born again (from Zion) from above.

Ps 87:1 His foundation is in the holy mountains.
2 The Lord loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
3 Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.
4 I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.
5 And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.
6 The Lord shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah.
7 As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee.

Three times it states that people are born in Zion....IN her. This is the Jerusalem which is above. The holy city. The city of our God and of His saints.

No, it was a prophecy of the birth of Jesus.

When the book of Psalm was written, there was no New Jerusalem. It did not exist until the bridegroom Jesus went to heaven to prepare a place for his bride.

There was no bride in the Old Testament.

You really must read the entire bible and not just the selected verses that back up a religious indoctrination.

Gal. 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Think about that...

Gal. 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Think about that...

I have read the whole Bible several times and studied it extensive.

I am nondenominational and have never belong to any denomination.

So your accusations are completely false about me.

I imagine my 58 years of study is far more extensive than yours.

As for Galatians, read the whole chapter and put the verse back into context.

That verse is talking about the New Jerusalem, which is also figuratively called the bride of Christ.

Add what is said about the heavenly Zion.

Simple fact is you gave no explanation as to what the heavenly Zion Or New Jerusalem Represent. That being our eternal home with all the saints and God. A home built on the 12 foundation of the apostles with the 12 gates of the tribes of Israel.

Remember Salem was the home to Melchizedek before it became Jerusalem.

Jerusalem is the center of the world. Something you would know if you have studied the world before Peleg. Which would have also helped you understand that where Jerusalem is was the center of Gaia. And that Gaia had four corners.

So before you lecture others about studying make sure you have studied more than them.

Zion also refers to the people who live there which was Israel. Israel is the wife of God and he arrayed her fine clothes, rings, earrings, nose rings and other jewelry.

“...there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.” Is this so of the Jerusalem you speak of? Or the Jerusalem which is above and the mother of us all? Where no uncircumcised of heart (made without hands)or unclean enter?

I’m not sure how anyone can say New Jerusalem is not in the Old Testament. Or how Christ is not there when He said the volume of the book was of Him.
Isaiah 52:6-7
[6] Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I. [7] How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth.

The New Jerusalem is currently in heaven and did not exist in the Old Testament.

The chapter is talking about the MK.

Revelation 19:10
[10] And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Just because something is not seen yet...does it mean it is not there?

Ephesians 3:9
[9] And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

In this case yes because Christ said he had to go to the father to prepare a place for his bride.

By the Jewish marriage custom that means build it.

It also means the church will not enter until the marriage ceremony, which will be during the tribulation.
