Hi mister Michael - i am sure God will find a way - just remembered a book I read once ' 25 years a watchtower slave ' it was the testimony of a member of the church who went on to find Christ. I will see if I can find out the author names, I am sure it may help you to see that it's not an easy transition, but one that can and will happen with Gods help. X
This site is a bit of a conundrum to me, there are things I hate here, but I cannot seem to keep away or leave !! Lol

Right the book is called '. 30 years a watchtower slave ' and it's by William Schnell- it's avaliable on Amazon - I read it some years ago. My ex husbands uncle was a JW, he would come over from the USA and stay with us, I was a new Christian and he use to get me so confused. In the end he just use to drive me nuts - he blamed me for the end of my marriage because I was female ( all linked to Eve leading Adam astray ) I still use to write to him, but in the end I was much stronger in faith and could stand my ground with him.

It's good to understand from Scripture exactly where cults lead people astray.
Testimony is also valid, it gives first hand experience of being awakened and how questioning first begins. Isn't that where Michael is.......
It's not just about breaking away but also about the struggles and implications with the family , friends, ect. It's a difficult thing to do , so I suggested the book because he may find empathy with Williams story, and hope .........

Hello MM,

I don't believe we have met. What's missing in your life, what are you searching for?

haven't finished a book since middle school. i don't think i am prepared to read it.
Are you serious? I average two to three a month... maybe less if they are as much as 400 pages each. I seldom read a worthwhile book less than three times. (No, not in that same time-period) There is just too much that other people know (people who have really studied a topic) for me NOT to read all I can. Often, there is no other way I will ever find out if I don't read what they have written.
