They know just enough verses to be dangerous and have something to argue about. They are the poster children of why even apostate Rome didn't want the Scriptures in the hands of the people. LOL!!!

The only thing Arminians can agree on 100% of the time:The Bible is like our own personal belief buffet; "I like this verse, and this verse and this verse....oh, God's Sovereignty? Hate that.... Election, no.... Oh, I like this verse though!"

Meanwhile, we're over here, like "Yeah, we disagree on a few things, but you've by all means got the Gospel message down." Ahh, the irony.

But WE'RE the heretics, mind you. The ones who are unified in their beliefs about salvation.

"Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice." Ephesians 4:31

I guess that doesn't apply to you? But then, the founder of your sect, John Calvin, expressed all of those. He even executed some who disagreed with him. Where in the New Testament does it tell us to do that?

When His disciples wanted to "call down fire" on those who disagreed with their preaching, Jesus rebuked them.

They hate the truth, but they just don't know it.

They think election means voting for God. "Election!? I love election! I voted for God AND Trump!!" LOL!!!!!!

You mean like, um, how you attacked and insulted me for merely challenging your beliefs, false assertions, and conclusions? That kind of malice, rage, anger, and bitterness?

"Calvinism is a Cult"

.... need I say more?

I would say that it bears more of the markings of a sect--"cult" is probably too strong a word and designed to get a rise out of Calvinists. Wouldn't Jesus tell you to "turn the other cheek"?

Characterizing all who disagree with the Calvinist point of view that way is not helping your cause.

Yes, but he also flipped tables and drove people out with a whip that were making a mockery of the true God.

My point was that you were so quick to point the finger, using a verse that applies more to your party than ours. Slander? You quote a verse that calls us slanderers when the title of the thread is Calvinism is a Cult, and I've been ridiculed and called a cult member, none of my questions or Scriptures have been answered in any way that does not contradict the Word?

Seems kind of ironic, don't you think? A real 'don't try and remove the chip from your neighbor's eye when you have a plank in your own' kind of thing.

Oh, you're so kind, you found a synonym for cult.

Like when you turned the other cheek? Oh, never mind, you didn't do that, you insulted and attacked. That cheek turning is only for Calvinists.

The sobering truth is, If Calvinism is true, which I believe it is, most calling themselves Christians are lost and hate God with a passion.
Sadly, when presented with the God of Scripture they show they are at enmity and hostile in their minds toward Him!

Sad thing, her religion is on full display in her behavior.

She only knows a few verses to attack others with on how they should act.

But, they don't apply to her. Know why? She considers herself saved, others as lost, so, she gets a bye and doesn't have to obey. Some people think being saved means license, that their sin doesn't really matter. "God understands them."

Well, this is all futile and unprofitable.

Rest assured the OP has no grounds, all their accusations are unfounded, their assertions on us are false, and the fact their belief system is based on out of context Scripture is on full display.

Show me where He permitted His followers to do such things? I'm sure that you know the Psalm, Jesus was enacting.

My point was that you were so quick to point the finger, using a verse that applies more to your party than ours.
My "party"?? How did this get to be a political discussion? I'll grant you that John Calvin was at least as political as he was religious (he was the virtual dictator of Geneva) but I hardly think that entitles the followers of Jesus to make this discussion into a "them" vs. "us" donnybrook. Are we or are we not one in Christ--"one faith, one Lord, one baptism"? I really have no "dog in this hunt" other than to point out the truth as I see it in Scripture. Sometimes I see that non-Calvinists are probably in error, sometimes I see that Calvinists are in error. We are ALL imperfect vessels of the Holy Spirit.

Slander? You quote a verse that calls us slanderers...
Does it? I actually hesitated over including that part of the passage because I don't believe that Calvinists are frequent slanderers. I do think that "bitterness and rage" often applies, however.

...none of my questions or Scriptures have been answered in any way that does not contradict the Word?

That is your opinion based on what you believe the Scriptures teach--others' opinions on what the Bible teaches do not agree with yours. Doesn't it behoove both sides to "reason together" without rancor?

Seems kind of ironic, don't you think? A real 'don't try and remove the chip from your neighbor's eye when you have a plank in your own' kind of thing.
That Scripture is good in application to ALL Christians.

I'll just be over here..... watching the Arminians proove that they are not in any stretch of the imagination a unified movement, but in reality a 'every man's theology for itself' group.
Bi6FcO7UoutWM

Same argument that Catholics use to declare that the Protestant pov isn't true...therefore if it is valid, we should all convert to Catholicism today...
