* It was a horrible crime against humanity, @brakelite, and I am sorry it has taken place on your home soil. We are all members of the human race, and this is mass murder. The death of one person is a tragedy, but when multiplied to this extent, by the hand of man, it goes beyond tragedy, it is a crime of great magnitude, and should incur the death penalty.
It is rather interesting that while Christians, Jews, and Yazidis were being butchered by the thousands by ISIS and other Radical Muslims groups worldwide (and still are), Christians in the West did not think that was a tragedy beyond human comprehension. THERE WAS NO CRY OF OUTRAGE. There was no outcry that Western politicians shut down ISIS and all the other Muslim gangsters immediately. Indeed London elected a Muslim mayor to prove to the world that the West had become useful idiots for Islam.

But now that a group of Muslims was slaughtered in New Zealand in retaliation (or for whatever reason) there is outrage from the politically correct Westerners. It just goes to show that (a) the West hates Christians and (b) loves to show sympathy to those who have sworn Holy War against Christians and Jews.

The hard questions which no one will ask, because they have been so brainwashed about so-called "Islamophobia", are these:

1. Why did Muslims from the Middle East travel all the way to remote New Zealand to erect a mosque (or mosques) when (a) Muslims revile the West and its "corrupt" values, (b) the Koran teaches that all infidels are enemies of the Muslims, and (c) the Koran teaches Jihad against the infidels?

2. Why have Muslims poured into Western nations since 911, when Radical Islamists had already declared war against "the great Satan" (America) and the entire Western world? Recently (2016) it was reported that the most popular name for babies in the UK was "Mohammad".

"Mohammed is the most popular name for boys in England and Wales- but it doesn't top the official list because there are so many different ways to spell it. There were 7,361 children born last year called Mohammed, Muhammed, Mohammad or Mohamed, according to the Office for National Statistics, which would have made it the number one boys name if the variations were taken into account." Daily Mail, Sept 2, 2016

3. Why have almost all the Muslim countries become Radical Muslims since Ayatollah Khomeini took power from the Shah of Iran?

4. Why have the Palestinians been encouraged by almost the entire Western world in their vile propaganda against Israel, and their daily attacks, when Hamas and Hezbollah are terrorist organizations?

As far as I am concerned, all this phony outrage about the NZ killings, and blaming Donald Trump for one crazy man's actions, show us that psychologically the Muslims have already won their war against the West. They could establish a Caliphate and Sharia law in Europe, the UK, or any Western country, and get away with it without a whimper. Shame on the West for such capitulation, while rejecting Christ and Christianity.

I agree. Christians in Nigeria just got slaughtered by muslims and churches burned down but not a peep about it.

Just for some perspective...the youngest victim in Christchurch was 3 years old. His parents fled Somalia as refugees over 20 years ago. That continuing civil war in Somalia that has cost the lives of tens of thousands, displaced thousands more, terribly affected by terrorist groups such as Al Qaeda, is absolutely no different from the wars and persecutions waged in Europe by the Papacy which saw an influx of refugees, both Protestant and Catholic, into countries like the USA, Australia, and NZ. You have seen me being deeply critical of Catholicism because the tenets taught by the Papacy of the dark ages which resulted in millions of deaths of Christians and Jews, still remain. A leopard cannot change its spots. But not once have you seen my being critical of any individual Catholic because no Catholic I know would support attacking others for their faith. However, I know that some Catholics in places such as the Solomon Islands and India have no qualms concerning physical violence against Hindus and Moslems and Protestants. And as recently as just a few decades ago Catholic Croatia was at war with Orthodox and Muslim held territories in Serbia and Bosnia. And a little before that Catholic Ustachi during the second world war persecuted and killed thousands of Muslims in the former Yugoslavia. Shall I mention...yes, I will...the Vatican promoted war of Vietnam? There are also some who seriously believe there is evidence that Islam was actually a RCC inspired religion for the sole purpose of conquering Jerusalem...only it backfired when they refused to give it up. Thus the crusades.
Then we have the "war on terror", a war based on a US government attack on its own citizens in NY, and a concocted invasion of the middle east on a false premise of WMDs. And everyone is accusing Islam as being solely responsible for the troubles today? And have no fear of any Catholic takeover of the US, the dismantling of its constitution in favour of a fascist Catholic socialist state and the legislating of Catholic dogma and doctrine in direct contradistinction to the Bible? Last time I looked there were no Muslims on the supreme court...but, umm...how many Catholics? And how many Jesuit educated leaders now ruling the White House? From both sides of the democrat/republican divide?

Our fight isn't against flesh and blood...but powers and principalities in government...spiritual wickedness and evil ideologies that have usurped the rights of the people in ALL countries of the world.

Our fight isn't against individual 3 yo Muslims and the parents going about their business any more than it is against Aspen, BoL or Maymog. And the lumping together all people who belong to those organisations as extremists or radical...terrorists...murderers...and evil conspirators through paranoid fear and hate is destroying whatever remnants of Christian love you claim to have. It isnt liberal BS and political correctness to love your neighbour, regardless of what religion they belong to. It's what Jesus did for the woman at the well, and the ten lepers. It is what Jesus did for the Roman centurion. It is what Jesus did for you, when you were yet an enemy of the kingdom of God and man because of your rebelliousness.

Hello @Enoch111,

We are told in Hebrews 12:14, to, 'Follow peace with all men'.

Victims of violence and the perpetrators of those crimes against humanity will have to stand before God one day, and receive for the evil they have done. To allow their evil deeds to incite racial and religious hatred is to play into their hands.

The whole world lieth in wickedness 1 John 5:19 tells us, so we should not be surprised at seeing the evidence of it. However we profess to be 'of God', so love should be what characterises us in the eyes of the world.

Christ came into the world to deliver men from evil, to reconcile man to God, and that includes all men, red and yellow, black and white, no matter what ideology they were born into or profess. God can deliver them, He can save them from all of that, but they need to see Christ manifest in those who profess to be His, and that is not achieved by hate filled rhetoric or by violence, but by love, and the preaching of the gospel of God concerning His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

In Christ Jesus
Chris

Hello again,

Terrorism should be divorced from it's object or it's cause, and looked upon objectively I believe, and judged objectively as the mass murder that it is.

Another terrorist attack in Utrecht today. Also one in Britain on the same day as the one in NZ. Terrorism by anyone for any reason is unacceptable, and without justification.

In Christ Jesus

1. Sorry, but there is a very definite reason for Islamic "terrorism". For Radical Islamists it is NOT terrorism but "Holy War" (Jihad) on behalf of Allah to bring judgment upon "infidels" (Westerners, Christians, Jews, Yazidis, etc). It is according to their "holy book" the Koran. And it is a prelude to the establishment of a worldwide Muslim Caliphate, with Sharia Law. Muslims have not forgotten that a few hundred years ago they controlled large swaths of Europe.

2. The second half of the Holy War is to send hordes of Muslims into the Western countries to subvert the West internally, and make it acceptable to attack Christians and Jews, while shouting "Islamophobia" if Muslims are exposed for their subversive activities. This is migrant invasion at its finest and it succeeded in NZ, which is as about as far away from Mecca as the moon.

Why is there no outrage in New Zealand about the attacks on Christians?

Media Silence Surrounds Muslim Massacre of Christians

Political leaders and public figures were falling over themselves this weekend to condemn the mosque attacks in New Zealand, while dozens of Christians were slaughtered by Muslims in Nigeria to the sound of crickets.

The mosque attacks were indeed a horrific affair and worthy of universal condemnation. Presidents, prime ministers, royalty, and religious leaders rushed to extend their condolences to victims and their families — as well they should — while decrying the hate that purportedly motivated the shootings.

Without exception, the mainstream media gave top billing to the shootings, with newspapers carrying the story on their front pages and television news channels leading off their broadcasts with the story.

The bizarre aspect of the coverage was not, in fact, the attention paid to a heinous crime committed in New Zealand, but the absolute silence surrounding the simultaneous massacre of scores of Christians by Muslim militants in Africa.

As Breitbart News alone reported among major news outlets, Fulani jihadists racked up a death toll of over 120 Christians over the past three weeks in central Nigeria, employing machetes and gunfire to slaughter men, women, and children, burning down over 140 houses, destroying property, and spreading terror.

The New York Times did not place this story on the front page; in fact, they did not cover it at all. Apparently, when assessing “all the news that’s fit to print,” the massacre of African Christians did not measure up. The same can be said for the Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, the Detroit Free Press, the LA Times, and every other major paper in the United States.

The news shows from the three major television channels did not mention the story, and nor did CNN or MSNBC.

There are several possible explanations for this remarkable silence, and none of them is good.

Since, in point of fact, Muslim radicals kill Christians around the world with alarming frequency, it is probable that one more slaughter did not seem particularly newsworthy to the decision-makers at major news outlets. Muslims being killed, on the other hand, may strike many as newsworthy precisely because it is so rare.

A second motive for the media silence around the massacre of Christians in Nigeria may be geo-political and racial. New Zealand is a first-world country where such things are not supposed to happen, whereas many people still consider Africa to be a backwards place where brutal killings are par for the course.

Moreover, the slaughter of black Christians in Africa may not enkindle rage among westerners the way that the murder of white and brown Muslims in New Zealand would.

Finally, the story simply does not play to the political agenda that many mainstream media would like to advance. How much mileage can be gained from Muslims murdering Christians, when Christians in America are often seen as an obstacle to the “progress” desired by liberals? The left sees Christians in the United States as part of the problem and seeks to undermine their credibility and influence at every turn rather than emboldening them.

Anti-Christian bias has been rightly called “the last acceptable prejudice,” one that few bother condemning.

“No one much cares about offending Christians,” wrote the coalition of African-American pastors in an essay last Tuesday. “In fact, mocking, belittling, and blaspheming Christianity is becoming a bit of a trend in our culture. Anti-Christian bigotry truly is the last acceptable prejudice.”

“The hypocrisy on display is astounding,” the pastors continued. “Christianity is the dominant religion of our country. It is the foundation of our government and morality. And yet, Christians are treated as fair game for mockery and insult.”

Christians are by far the most persecuted religious group in the world, but the mainstream media routinely ignore this fact as if it were unimportant or uninteresting. As a result, many people do not even realize how widespread the persecution is or that 75 percent of the victims of religious persecution around the world are Christians.

Whatever the reason — or reasons — for the media silence surrounding the most recent massacres of Christians in Nigeria as well as numerous other such events, it should give right-thinking people pause.

By all means, the lethal shootings of dozens of Muslims in New Zealand is a massive story and merits extensive coverage. But it only stands to reason that similar coverage should be devoted to the slaughter of Christians.

For the moment, it serves as a poignant reminder that a double standard is at work when it comes to news coverage, and that it is Christians who inevitably draw the short straw.

And to make matters worse, the clueless Prime Minister of New Zealand was talking about more gun control, when gun control is already stringent in NZ. The hypocrisy and stupidity of Western politicians always surfaces at such times.

Hello there, @Enoch111,

The point is that these are human beings, whose lives have been taken away. Who by, or for what reason is not the issue. Neither is it relevant to the subject of this thread whether media coverage is fair or biased.

I understand your concerns, and have noted your observations, so please do not think that I am dismissive of what you say. However, our times are in God's hands, and the world has it's course to run, and all that has been prophesied concerning it will come to pass. The Lord knows the end from the beginning. So whether we live or die we can trust Him to do all that He has promised. He will bring in ultimately the new heaven and the new earth 'wherein dwelleth righteousness', of that we can be very sure, and we will all take our places in the realms allotted to us. So, we should be praising God, now, not looking at the chaos working out around us, which has to take it's course, no matter what we think about it.

May His will be done.
With love in Christ Jesus

In the face of tragedy and upheaval, we need to keep 'looking unto Jesus' (Hebrews 12.2).

I think Tarrant is from a Jewish background as his grand dad got victim money from the Germans and this kid is a typical new age Satanist who has lost the plot in video games etc, it looks like he was in Israel and trained and is linked with ISIS as to where he had been running about, not to mention that's where he most likely of got such guns from that he had, but how did he get the guns into NZ ? maybe he is into a bikie drug dealer mob, not to mention wacked out on drugs and lost the plot.

Noted, and I agree with both the article and it's sentiments, as well as the pointlessness of new gun legislation. The current legislation in NZ is actually more liberal than it was when I was a kid growing up with in a family of hunters. Then, every rifle had to be registered. Without exception. Caught with an unregistered rifle and you went to jail. Now, the owner is registered and you can own as many as you like. No one has any idea what weapons are in the country. Or where they are.
I started this thread not because I am unmindful of Christian persecution, or unsympathetic toward Christians who are suffering worldwide. My own decimation is involved in global evangelism on a scale far greater than any other single denomination and we have medical clinics and missionaries everywhere... We are often told and reminded of the difficulties our people are going through...in Africa, Asia, and the middle east.
But what took place in NZ is different. NZ is different. NZ 'ers are different. We are possibly the most laid back people on the planet. Probably too much so. So for this to happen in our back yard comes a a shock. And regardless of the religion of these people, our country is so small (less population wise that many US cities) that those killed were genuinely our neighbours . I now live in a city which population exceeds the entire country I came from.
We are feeling the same angst and grief you guys would have felt after 9/11. Except what took place in Christchurch wasn't at the instigation of our own government. At least as far as we know.

I agree. Christians in Nigeria just got slaughtered by muslims and churches burned down but not a peep about it.

Not even here. Muslims get killed the world goes nuts and stumbles over themselves to express platitudes but Christians get massacred oh well who cares

Why is there no outrage in New Zealand about the attacks on Christians?

Because I am beginning to think here and everywhere else that Christians deserve it so who cares if they get killed. But don't dare touch a muslim. It started after 9/11 to try to cast muslims as wonderful because they wouldn't do that type of thing and the world bent over backwards to make sure we all knew that muslims were the best religion ever. The truth is that if there are muslims like many protestant than the muslims are Sola Koran and will do mass murder because the koran tells them to; on the other hand, those protestant who go by Scripture alone would never do mass murder because the Bible never tells us to.

Correct. Every politician in every Western nation had an ethical, legal, and moral responsibility to (1) study the history of Islamic conquests and oppression in Europe and Asia, (2) study the Koran and why it is designed to undermine the Gospel as well as the West, and (3) study the history of Jihad since 1970, along with the writings and speeches of Ayatollah Khomeini, Osama bin Laden, and the many rabid clerics who have come into the West to preach hatred, and continue to do so freely.

After that they had a duty to craft legislation which would prevent Muslims from following through on the dictates of the Koran and Jihad, as interpreted by the radicals ever since Wahhabism came into existence in Saudi Arabia.

I do not believe there is a single Western non-Muslim politician who has a clue about any of this. But Crypto-Muslim Obama had a perfect grasp on the meaning of Jihad, and did his utmost to ensure its success worldwide.

Hungary, and Eastern Europe, on the other hand (which are Catholic) have fully grasped the significance of Muslim mass migration into Europe, and are finally making efforts to stop it. Italy has also wised up. But the USA could have done a lot more to protect itself, instead of squandering billions in Afghanistan and Iraq to achieve nothing, while thousands of lives were wasted in those fruitless wars. Canada has become a haven for terrorists under Trudeau, who is more than willing to hand them millions as compensation for their dirty deeds.

The general public is deliberately not being told the full story about Muslim violence, lawlessness, and criminality in Europe and the UK, since that would create a tremendous backlash against the stupid policies of the Merkels and the Mays. People in France are fed up with Macron's idiotic policies also, but evidently the Yellow Vests have forgotten about the Jihadists who wreaked murder and mayhem in France not too long ago.

Hello again,

Terrorism should be divorced from it's object or it's cause, and looked upon objectively I believe, and judged objectively as the mass murder that it is.
The problem is that traditionally governments have not always made this distinction when going against people: the SOE during WW2 was tasked with 'setting Europe ablaze' by Churchill; the Contras were lethal insurrectionists supported by the CIA; the CIA and Bandar, the Saudi ambassador, killed 80 people with a car bomb in trying to remove Sheikh Fadlallah.
