Did when the veil in the sanctuary was at the crucifixion.
Isaiah 25:7-9 KJV
[7] And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations. [8] He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it . [9] And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord ; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

Speaking my thoughts: while in the mortal life, there's always going to be a vail (aka things we just don't know) and you're always going to be looking through a lens (which does focus/alter perspectives). These are two unavoidable facts. The best thing any of us can do is to conscious of that, and humble enough to accept the Spirit's guidance & growth throughout our lives, rather than fearfully/pridefully clinging to those imperfect lens.
I can’t recall anything I’ve done to be proud of.

I have that book! You're the only person I've ever talked to who has read it. It's very dense - her writing style is hard to follow - at least for me. I have experienced when I grow spiritually, the evil one is often right there, and she wrote about that in her book.

Good to know. Yes, she writes much like the old writers, with long sentences. I have found it very helpful.

Yes, I can almost guarantee that when you grow spiritually, satan, his emissaries, will be right there. satan is not omnipotent, or omnipresent, or omniscient. But he is a great observer.

And so in that spiritutal realm, it is my opinon, he recognizes activity surrounding a believer who is growing and walking in the Spirit. As a result he sets his attention upon them. We must learn to expect it.

I think that's called Reaction Formation, the person who is secretly a thief is the loudest decrier against thievery.

Those who have the least self-control are the most vehement that we must keep the law, that sort of thing.

Much love!
mark

I think that's wise.

I never heard it put that way but it exactly describes his activities clearly because he observes us and is ready to thwart and trip up, and lay snares. I have to remind myself at times that he's not some buffoon - he's a highly intelligent being that wants to destroy us. Although of course we must keep our focus on God. I've had a few very painful attacks, enough to have a healthy wariness. As soon as God begins to open up my understanding then attacks come from places I never would have suspected. I wish someone had prepared me.

Over here there are more things done now in many churches, but I am not so sure much is said about spiritual warfare - also I thankfully did not get embroiled with TV evangelist - didn't have them back then - although I see plenty of them on Christian to now !
Mind you not all are bad or wrong, just the ones asking for money to recieve blessings. I tend to stick to revelation tv. They give many things out for free - always a good sign .
Well it says that the Lord can and does use our experiences for the benefit of others who may go through the same thing - so , if it's on your heart, go for it xxx
Rita

You're very fortunate that you weren't taken in by the TV preachers. All of them weren't bad just some. I listened to a black preacher who I believe was on the level, but some of the others weren't and confused me in how they acted as if they had a corner on the market with God and for Him to hear I had to send in money. I think what they do is cruel. I saw that there are wolves in sheep clothing. I was raised Catholic and that's all I knew, but when I really sought God there was nothing there - the Catholic church didn't fill that deep experience that I was looking for, which I later learned was spiritual regeneration. I had things happen in reverse: I was spiritually regenerated and then I read "Steps to Christ" and learned that's what happened to me.

Thanks for your encouragement - I plan on doing something this year and I'm still just waiting for God to make clear the direction I'm to go in.

Surely that is not the same as learning about the battle and teaching us to know the subtle ways he uses people around us. Just as we need to be able to understand how we can be used by our reactions, emotions and circumstances we should also be aware of ' how ' to avoid falling into his traps.
We know we are a work in progress, the same as others - but just knowing that is not enough. I look back with regret at how many battles he won in church life simply because we never really asked vital questions about what was really going on. We did not ' stop ' and take a step back and think !
Although I have been aware of the spiritual battle for many years, but must admit it's only recently that I have begun to truly grasp how he very subtly uses the people in my daily life - so maybe it's about the Lord opening our eyes and ears more
Rita

I too can look back with regret and see the battles the evil one won in church life. We tend to blame other things, not really being aware that the deceiver has been at work. If we knew the statistics I think we would be saddened by how many churches, families, and fellowships he was able to destroy. I was reading about it and read that the Jezebel spirit often works in churches - I don't know anything about it because I just began reading up on it. Some pastors teach that a demon is assigned to every church.

I think the evil one's most fruitful work is when he creates havoc among Christians. I saw so many people harmed by that corrupt family. One person in that family allowed sin to gain a foothold. Our pastor asked us over because it was so sinful that he left the church. He told us that the family caused so much trouble at the former church they went to that there are people who refuse to step foot in a church today. Satan was able to tempt someone in that family and their sin just spread out in an ever-widening circle. Their name was blackened but they're still running a church. It saddens me because another person who left their church told me that they're misleading a new crop of people.

Have you ever heard this concept taught though? I haven't in any church I've been in for 40 years. I think it might be too strong a topic or one that might make people uncomfortable? I don't know but I wish that it was something taught more.

Soverign Grace, if by "this concept" you were referring back to the OP, then yes. The concept has been taught in depth. If you are open to reading visions, this whole thing going on now in the church and especially at various Christian Forums of Satan using believers to slander one another and become filled with spirits not of God was prophesied long ago. Read the link provided below. The Final Quest by Rick Joyner is a good read. I need to go back over it again at some point myself, as it prescribes ways of attacking the enemy without attacking other Christians, something I have not fully perfected yet but am getting closer to the older I get.

Blessings, and hope you get something out of it.

1 Timothy 3:6
He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil.

New or recent implies immaturity. Babes in Christ still on the milk of the word. Even a church goer from birth, someone in their 40s now, can be immature in the faith and be overly self-assured of their own authority in spiritual matters if they manage to get into positions of leadership within a congregation.

That's a good point to remember. I recall another believer telling me about an older Pastor, of whom you would think would be rich with wisdom, really wasn't because he was saved later. And you're right - we have to be careful at all times that we don't fall into pride. I think it's something that we all fall into too easily. I see it in myself and in others and I think that since Mark pointed out how important that is I'm going to put that at the top of my prayer journal. We know that pride goeth before destruction so that tells us how serious God is about it.

1“These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble. 2 They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service. 3 And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me. 4 But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them." John 16:1-4

Thanks for posting that - I read through it. It reminded me of 'Pilgrim's Progress' and the sequel 'Christiana.' It really gave compelling descriptions of the hardship and dangers we face in this life. It makes for interesting reading when it's put in a form like that.

That's a good group, right? (I dunno….. just wondering.)
Knights of Malta are good for the Pope, but not for you.

"They're a secretive religious order with a long and bloody history and unique status under international law, but that doesn't mean they run the world...To be fair, the Knights have been involved in their fair share of political intrigues...

I've just been learning recently about the Pope - Brakelite had first shared Walter Veith's videos and I was shocked. I had been raised Catholic, although when I searched for God I left the Catholic church because there was nothing there, but I had no idea that it was so evil. I'm still trying to piece together where it all comes together at. I believe the Catholic church is what is referred to in Revelations 2:9: "I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan." Walter Veith showed where the Pope's vestments bore Islam symbols. It's taking me awhile to sort it out since Revelations is so rich. I only began studying Revelations this year.

I think that you're knowledgable about the same things that I've been learning about, and how it all ties in with the end times. I was looking up "Vatican Assassins" that Brakelite had told me about, to finish reading it and found a website rich in information regarding end times prophecy, and the one article talked about the Knights of Malta! I don't recall ever reading about them before. So where do they fit in - they do the Pope's dirty work? https://vaticanassassins.org/2012/0...le-immoral-state-the-popes-american-military/

You may be interested in this article which talks about how Islam is a creation of the Catholic church - (although you may already know it): https://vaticanassassins.org/2011/1...ines-and-deeds-of-satans-roman-jesuit-papacy/

I was reading yesterday about how one sect today are the descendants of Ishmael, I believe it's Islam, and Christians are the descendants of Isaac. (I may have gotten it mixed up somehow because I only read the information once, and it takes me a number of times to grasp something.)

Do you follow any pastor that teaches this, or did you learn it on your own? It's pretty fascinating when you begin to see how the end times and what we see happening in the world today are tied right to biblical history. I signed up for a few newsletters that teach property and how it's being fulfilled today. I was reading an article on how we seem to be stuck in the Twilight Zone with all that is happening today, and it would be an impossibility for me to live in such times if I didn't have faith:

It's very hard when the things that get to us are really bad - but I always go back to the verse: "Whom have I in heaven but you?" Because when it gets down to brass tacks we learn there is nothing there but God.
