The Meek Shall Inherit the EarthFirst thing we must notice is this says the EARTH not Heaven"I go [to heaven] to prepare a place for you” (14:2). Most assume Jesus is referring to preparing a place in heaven. Yet in the very next verse, Jesus said, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again [to the earth], and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (vs. 3).Where is this? Many are familiar with Jesus’ “Sermon on the Mount.” A clear statement on a Christian’s reward is found in this series of scriptures. However, it does not contain the word “heaven.” While most know of this sermon, few know of this important verse: “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth” (Matt. 5:5).Psalm 37:11 states the same thing. It would not have been strange for Jesus to reference Psalms, since all His listeners would have been familiar with this scripture. But to have said that “the meek shall inherit heaven” would have been strange to their ears. Amazingly, the opposite is true today! Most think it is strange to believe that Christians will inherit the earth! Consider what the apostle John recorded in the book of Revelation: “And has made them [true Christians] unto our God kings and priests: and they shall reign on the earth” (Rev. 5:10).The reward of God’s saints is future rulership “on the earth”—as “kings and priests.” How obvious! In Matthew 25, Jesus describes His Return to “sit upon the throne of His glory: And before Him shall be gathered all nations” (vs. 31-32). Jesus is pictured in this parable as ruling all the nations of the earth—on the earth, not in or from heaven! At that point, He says to the saints, “Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you” (vs. 34). Right now, Jesus is in heaven preparing a kingdom for His people to inherit on earth! Christians will not join Jesus in heaven. He will “come again” to earth, where true Christians will join Him!Seems Very few people understand this fundamental biblical teaching. Have You been taught that God’s purpose for Christians is to inherit and reign on earth? Will you believe the plain words of Jesus Christ? Will you believe His statements that “no man "(flesh) has ascended up to heaven”—and that the meek “shall inherit the earth”? mankind’s is allotted 6,000 years, Then what? In that same day Jesus’ feet will descend on the Mount of Olives overlooking Jerusalem on the east (Zech. 14:4).“We read in Revelation 20:1-2 that at the time of Christ’s coming, Satan shall be removed from the throne of world rulership. Jesus Christ will then sit on that throne over the whole earth. In Revelation 3:21, Jesus said to those in his own true church, that if we overcome Satan and the evils of this world, he will grant that we will sit with him on that throne.“Jesus also said in Revelation 2:26-27 that if we, his own people, overcome we will be given power over the nations, and we shall rule them, under Christ. We who are true believers in his own church, that overcome until the End, shall be priests and kings, and we shall reign on the earth.”

kriss, I agree with you but you have to understand who and what the Meek are. The Christians are htpocrites, liars, cheaters and thieves by way of the government they use. The only thing the Messiah will do is unify the planet under the governing system that Jesus endorsed. The earth is the heaven that God made for mankind to live on and it is perfect with the exception of the direction that mankind follows. Do you not know that all mankind has been decieved and led down the wide road? The promise of a New World of everlasting peace and prosperity requires a belief in a non profit operating system that uses the gifts that God provided to their maximum advantage without harming it. The politicians want to keep mankind investing in thier wicked ways which have never solved an earthly problem in fact they are the problem. Christ speaks with words the false prophets, teachers and politicians do not teach.

Are you saying ALL Christians are hypocrites? That sounds like and it is a hypocritical statement. Give me a break here.Do you not realize the word Christian(s) came from the word Christ? Christian means to follow Christ. The word Christian is in these following verse (Acts 11:26, Acts 26:28, I Peter 4:16)And lastly, no mankind can knows the heart of one another...

Yes I am saying that all Christians are hypocrites working as Satan's desciples. Just because you say you stand behind Christ does not mean you do what he recommends. And to say that you are saved because you read the bible is rediculous only the Messiah in the flesh can save anything and the Christians hate his way's.Learn war no more, no lines on the map, no dividing God's land, no gambling, treat your neighbor as you would yourself is like speaking in tongues to the Christians. Moneychangers and salesman are NOT allowed on this planet for good reason because they lead to wars, bad news, waste, mental illness and environmental destruction.

You are making such a foolish statement Jake. Yes I am a Christian, and you know not my heart. And you know not who I serve. Reminds me of this verse as well...Revelation 2:9, Revelation 3:9Do I need to remind you of Matthew 7:1?

thesuperjag The world is on the brink of destruction and you refuse to accept that the moneychangers, salesman and soldiers who protect those who divide the land and draw lines on the map are not the problem. Wake Up!

Do you really think I am not against moneychangers? They made His Father's house (temple of God) like a marketplace, garage sale etc They were supposed to be used there for preaching Truth. Hence the reason why Jesus drove them out.Now you put all Christians like the rest of the world. To be 100% honest, that's exactly what a hypocrite say. Should I remind you again of Revelation 2:9, Revelation 3:9 and Matthew 7:1?

I re-read what Jake99 wrote, twice. I find all of what he says to be true. Of course Christians are hypocrites. We are trying to emulate Jesus Christ. This is not possible for any but God! I often wonder what kind of world God intended for us and why we always reject His way. It must have something to do with our selfish, lustful flesh. It's obvious we will never get it right left to our own will.

For Life, This planet was designed to use a particular operating system so that all basic human and environmental needs would be met automatically and systematically. We will never have everlasting peace and prosperity if we use a profit and possession based system that relies on armies, gamblers, moneychangers and salesman. We must unite the nations under the operating system that the bible and Jesus recommended or the pollution and wars will be the end of all of us. Jesus suggested the simplest operating and governing system and I endorse that system and want to install it globally ASAP. Thanks for not calling me crazy as most people do, some people have even tried to silence me for suggesting such a radical and effective change.

Well don't you worry Jake, a global goverment is coming. And it will be ruled over by the AC. (that parts not so good)But there is truth in your statement of hypocrisy. We as christians strive to follow christ, but b/c we are not perfect who are not able to follow his teaching perfectly. But this doesn't necessarily make us hypocrits unless we claim perfection. And in a sense that is claiming to be equal with Jesus b/c he was the only perfect human. And if you claim to be equal to Jesus...well there isn't much hope for you anyway. But back to what i was saying. Yes we strive to follow christ perfectly and yes we do fail. But I believe hypocrite is the wrong term for this case. Our faults are sins, just like every other person. We are sinners. But unlike others, we are striving to be better, to live for christ. And christ died for our sins, so although we are sinners, we are forgiven. Basically what I got from your post is that we aren't perfect. But I believe most here are well aware of that. You do speak some truth Jake, I'll give you that. But you present it in a manner that is difficult to accept. If you desire more success on your preaching being accepted try and work on how you deliver it to people. I wouldn't start out by insulting them, try giving your messsage first. Just my advice, take it or leave it

followerofchrist, My message is of the New World here on earth and it is a judgement of those who have not stood behind me or done what Jesus preached when they say they believe in Christ. I am the man who has been doing Gods work on earth and we have fulfilled at least 300 prophecies. It is not possible for anyone other than the true Messiah in the flesh to do that. We have done many things that no man has ever been able to do before and strange and unusual is typical behavior. In fact we frequently appear in court and are mistreated and tried only to conclude that our actions were legal and we should never have even been arrested much less thrown to the lions who tried to nail me to a cross and silence me forever just as they did with Jesus when he stood against them and identified himself to the courts as the Christ. Do not make the same mistake as those in the day of Jesus did. Just because I am not following the sequence or path or interpretations that your bible endorses does not mean I am not the Messiah. I can come at any time to change the course that mankind is on. The Christians do not strive to be like Christ because they use the operating systems that Jesus stood against which means they travel further from the ways of Jesus with every step they take. Bad news is what mankinds chaos creates and Great News is what Gods ways produce, the systems are opposite and the destination is as well. The Christians and Jews are not forgiven for rejecting Jesus until they submit to the Messiah and let him govern the planet as God would. If mankind has the idea that they can continue to follow mans ways and be in any way saved they are very wrong. Mankind has to change its ways of waste and war and unify with all being treated as you would treat yourself. It is easy to follow the teachings of Christ if he is the leader using his simple system for governing the entire planet as if it were one nation under God. Restoring this planet to perfect health is an easy task doing it my way. The Christians have invented some fantastic technology and I commend them for that effort but in my world there are no military forces and no lines on the map. It is time to choose whether you want to do things the Messiahs way or continue on damnation road. Read about the the trial of James as it was something the Watchman on the Wall were told to look out for from a man who had been performing miraculous works and fulfilling prophecies. I am James the conquering king and suffering servant and my robe is drenched in my blood which was shed at the hands of the Christians in almost exactly the same way it was done to Jesus. Some people call me Jake and by at least a dozen other nick names, I am here to help every person who will ever be born . Please accept me and we will all live hapily ever after.http://s16.photobucket.com/albums/b5/James...rrent=scan3.jpg

Jake if you are claiming to be the messiah, you need to get a grip, and please dont insult our intelligence My Bible says when Christ returns every eye shall see and every knee shall bough and sense you seem to be begging we recognize you. You are not the second coming. But another in a long string of false prophets. For we are warned many will come saying I am here, He is there. Do not go.

I am constantly frustrated that Christians don't understand the sermont on the mount, and feel the need to add their words to it - to explain.Blessed are the Meek. The Meek need no reward because they are already blessed. He doesn't say: One day the Meek will be blessed with a reward. The Meek are simply Blessed people. Blessed by god.Blessed are the peacemakers.

Christina, It is a very dangerous thing to teach doctrines that are untrue, MATT 18:6,7, 1Tim 1:6,7, 2Pet 3:15-17. You are perceptive when you notice what Jesus taught about inheriting the earth, Matt 5:5. You have missed a very important scripture, also in the Beatitudes, Matt 5:3, which says some will inherit the Kingdom of God. So one group inherits the earth and one group inherits the Kingdom of God. Consider 1Cor 15:50 which says that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom. The scriptures tells us that the Little Flock mentioned by Jesus will have the same resurrection that Jesus had, Rom 6:5, 1Pet 3:18,19, Rom 6:5,8. Read 1Cor 15:42-50, and you will be able to understand that people who were flesh will be made spirit, just like Jesus was. Remember Jesus came down from heaven, and went back to heaven, and God even exalted Jesus to a superior position, Phil 2:9, for his carrying out His will so perfectly, Acts 2:33, 5:31. The scriptures also tell us that angels are greater in strength and power than humans, 2Pet 2:11. Jesus was raised to heaven as an even more powerful spirit, just like his Father is a SPIRIT, John 4:23,24, 2Cor 3:17. Another scripture to reinforce the truth about people inheriting the earth is Ps 115:16, Also notice Ps 37:29, which says the righteous will live FOREVER on earth. Consider also Isa 45:18, which says that God did not creat the earth for nothing, but formed it even to be inhabited. Now, about the Kings and Priests!! Consider Heb 3:1, talking about the ones with a heavenly calling. Another point to mention, the ones raised to heavenly life with Jesus will be granted IMMORTALITY. No flesh and blood person gets immortality, 1Cor 15:19,20, 51-54. Even Jesus, when on earth was a little lower than the angels, Heb 2:9. Keep in mind that flesh and blood acannot inherit God's Kingdom, 1Cor 15:50, John 3:5-8. Consider Phil 1:21-25, 3:14, 20,21. Col 1:5, 1Pet 1:4, 2Pet 1:4,11. Consider also 1Thes 4:16,17, where we are told that Jesus comes down from heaven, the dead are resurrected and then they are taken up to meet the lord in the air.

Christina, To prove a doctrine, you must let the Bible explain itself. You have explained one half of something, but to get the truth you must understand all the information about each subject. Truth is like a court case; when you hear one side you think; this must be the truth, but when you hear the other side, you begin to wander. Now, what you said about the meek inheriting the earth is correct, matt 5:5. Matt 5:3 and 5:8,9, which says thast the Kingdom of the Heavens belongs to them, and that they will see God. No flesh and blood can inherit the Kingdom, 1Cor 15:50, and no one can see God, except another spirit creature, Ex 33:20, 1Tim 1:17. To understand correctly you must realize that Jesus is now in heaven, Eph1:20, Heb 12:2. Just before Stephen died he had the heavens opened up to him and he saw God on his throne and Jesus standing at God's right hand, Acts 7:55,56. 1Pet 3:18 says that Jesus was put to death in the flesh, but was made alive in the spirit. At Rom 6:5, we are told that certain of Jesus disciples will receive the same resurrection that Jesus received, to spirit life, in heaven. There are many scriptures that tell about the hope of some of Jesus disciples going to heaven to be with and rule with Jesus, Heb 3:1, Eph 2:6, Phil 1:22,23, Phil 3:14, 3:20,21,Col 1:5, 1Thes 1:10,1Pet 1:3,4, 2Pet 1:4,11. This group is called by Jesus a Little Flock, Luke 12:32. This number is clarified at Rev 7:4 and 14:1,3. These are the same ones mentioned at Rev 5:9,10 and Rev 20:4-6. These cannot be harmed by the second death, the Lake of Fire. This is because they are resurrected immortal, 1Con 15:51-54, Rev 2:11. They are to be Kings and Priests with Jesus in heaven, Rev 20:6. This same group have been adopted by God as Jesus' BROTHERS, Heb 2:11,12,17, Matt 25:40, John 20:17. They are also co-heirs with Jesus, Rom 8:14-17-23. These are the only ones who are said to be BORN AGAIN, John 3:3-8. Because they were born from God and not from flesh they are to be a NEW BIRTH, a NEW CREATION, 1Pet 1:3,23, 2Cor 5:16,17, Gal 6:15, John 1:12,13. You are absolutely correct that the meek inherit the earth, Ps 37:29, Ps 115:16, Isa 45:18, Matt 6:9,10. The Kings and Priests inherit the Kingdom of God, which flesh and blood cannot do, 1Cor 15:50.

I normally dont bother to reply to your posts but this is getting old Again you addressing what I havent said ...I never said Flesh could inherit anything ....I know where God is. The question is do you know where Christ will be ruling from in the future... Address what the post is talking about ... You are talking General milk of the Word.

Hi Chris,I absolutely agree, it's going to be an EARTHLY kingdom, and I would like to add these things:Psalms 115:16-17 "The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence."We do NOT go to a place in "outer space" when we die. We sleep in the dust of the earth and await the resurrection of our new physical bodies when we become "kings and priests" who will reign on the earth. We will go through a bodily resurrection as Lazarus did AND as Jesus did. They were our example. Another example is during Jesus's death on the cross, there was a great earthquake and many came out of their graves and visited loved ones. And the prophet Daniel spoke of them, "those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall rise, some to everlasting life, some to everlasting shame and contempt."Then the book of Revelation states:Rev 20:13 "And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell (the grave) delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works."Because to us, death will be like going into a deep sleep, then waking up the next day to a new dawn, without the knowledge of the passing of time. There is NOTHING in the Bible that states we will be "disembodied spirits" floating up to live in heaven. Nothing.Even Jesus made reference to this when he said, "no man puts new wine into old goatskins, lest the skins burst. You put new wine into NEW goatskins and both shall be preserved."The new wine being the spirit and the new goatskin being the new resurrected body.Even Job knew about the coming resurrection:Job 19:25-27 "For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me."Kim

The soulish body has flesh and blood; the spiritual body has flesh and bones. There are some who believe that in this present life we have a physical body, but in the next life we will be spirits, no longer having bodies. Jesus' example shows that this view is incorrect. While the resurrected body is not limited by the flesh as we are today, it is yet physical and tangible in some way.Perhaps the best explanation of the resurrected body is found in Ezekiel 44. The sons of Zadok, we are told, will have a reward different from the ordinary Levitical priesthood. In New Testament terms, the sons of Zadok represent the Melchizedek Order, those who inherit the first resurrection. These are differentiated from the Levites, who represent the rest of the Church. God tells Ezekiel that the "Levites" in that day will be allowed to minister to the people in the "outer court" (the flesh), but only the "sons of Zadock" will be allowed to minister to God as well as to men.We are told that the "sons of Zadock" will wear their linen garments when ministering to God; but then they must change into woolen garments when ministering to the people (Ez. 44:19). Linen here represents the spiritual state; while wool, which comes from animals, represents the physical state. In other words, the sons of Zadok, those who inherit the first resurrection, will be able to move from the spiritual dimension into the physical at will, even as Jesus did. The rest of the Church will not be allowed this privilege until they are transformed at the second resurrection a thousand years later. Jesus was the product of a heavenly Father and an earthly mother. Before His incarnation, he had authority in heaven. He was born of a woman as the Son of man in order to receive authority in the earthly, physical realm as well. When His work was completed, He could say in Matt. 28:18,"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth."The goal of resurrection and transformation into His Image is to become like Jesus. We too have a heavenly Father and an earthly mother. Jesus is our Pattern Son, and we follow in His footsteps. As men are raised from the dead in the three resurrections, they will be given authority in both the heavenly (spiritual) dimension and the earthly (physical) dimension. Both are important in the plan of God, at least until such time as the Restoration of All Things is completed.Logabe
