Greetings everyone. I recently read through the book of Psalms again and wrote down parts of each one that stood out to me and so I thought I'd share them here and get a discussion going. The version I was reading from was [NKJV] so I'm going to try and quote from that online. Feel free to add any of your favorite Psalms verses in this thread (preferably 1 through 50, but do what you want) and let everyone know what your favorite parts are in this book :) I felt extra moved to write down passages that spoke of TRUST. Needless to say, If you have not read Psalms in awhile, do yourself that favor —its always an amazing blessing.

Psalms 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

Psalms 4:5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in the Lord.

Psalms 5:11 But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You.

Psalms 11:1 In the Lord I put my trust; How can you say to my soul, "Flee as a bird to your mountain"?

Psalms 14:5 There they are in great fear, For God is with the generation of the righteous.

Psalms 18:32 It is God who arms me with strength, And makes my way perfect.

Psalms 19:13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of great transgression.

Psalms 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.

Psalms 22:4 Our fathers trusted in You; They trusted, and You delivered them.

Psalms 22:24 For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Nor has He hidden His face from Him; But when He cried to Him, He heard.

Psalms 23:3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake.

Psalms 24:3-4 Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.

Psalms 25:5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.

Psalms 25:20 Keep my soul, and deliver me; Let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in You.

Psalms 26:2 Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; Try my mind and my heart.

Psalms 27:1 A Psalm of David. The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalms 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.

Psalms 29:11 The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace.

Psalms 30:6-7 Now in my prosperity I said, "I shall never be moved." Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain stand strong; You hid Your face, and I was troubled.

Psalms 31:22 For I said in my haste, "I am cut off from before Your eyes"; Nevertheless You heard the voice of my supplications When I cried out to You.

Psalms 32:7 You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah

Psalms 33:10 The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect.

Psalms 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.

Psalms 33:15 He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works.

Psalms 34:7 The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.

Psalms 34:22 The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.

Psalms 40:12 For innumerable evils have surrounded me; My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up; They are more than the hairs of my head; Therefore my heart fails me.

Psalms 42:11 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.

Psalms 44:8 In God we boast all day long, And praise Your name forever. Selah

Psalms 49:15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave, For He shall receive me. Selah

At the risk of being boring, I've always liked Psalm 1, especially the part about those who delight in His word being like trees planted by rivers of living waters : )

1 Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
