Curious . . . why do you want to put graphic depictions of torture into my head?

I know! I read the first two and was so horrified I couldn't go on. I know these things happened, and in a sense we should acknowledge the horrors our earlier brothers and sisters endured for their faith.....but I agree...putting so much detail was....not called for.

Those that reject the rapture and are left behind will have 3 1/2 years of hell on earth to re-think their error as they try to stay alive under anti-christ rule and the judgments of the great tribulation!!!!

That idea of course is false, and is a doctrine from men, and not from God's Word.

There's a new believer at my work, and another co-worker has lent him Tim LaHaye's left-behind series, and other writers like him, something like 13 books in a series. I asked him how would he know whether he's being deceived or not by others unless he studies God's Word for himself first? His response was a shrug, like he didn't understand what I was talking about.

Thus it has come to pass today, what God said about the times that would come when there would be a famine, not for bread or water, but of hearing The Word of God, seeking it and not finding it...

Amos 8:11-12
11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.
KJV

That is what not opening up God's Word for yourself in Bible study will get you. Reliance on some man to tell you what God's Word says in these days and times is like playing Russian roulette with your soul.

The height of foolishness:

1. If you don't believe in gravity then you can fly.
2. If you don't believe in the rapture then you will miss it. (wishful thinking among the smug purveyors of selfish religious beliefs)

Ephesians 4:10-12 Jesus He who descended is the very one who ascended above all the heavens, in order to fill all things. 11And it was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for works of ministry, to build up the body of Christ. =====Don't reject those Jesus sends to give you help!!!

You just quote Bible Scripture for the fun of it.

None of what you quote has to do with the false theories of a pre-trib rapture that you preach.

Nor do those men you listen to that preach a pre-trib rapture preach the Truth from God's Word. They are building up a wall with untempered mortor. With the first hard rain, that wall will come down.

The "catching up" IS the rapture!!
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be """caught up""" together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thess 4:13-18

You still don't really understand that Scripture. If you had, you would immediately 'know'... a pre-trib rapture is not what Paul taught there. I'm not saying this to belittle you, nor embarrass you, etc. We both believe on our Lord Jesus, so you should know what His Word actually teaches.

1 Thess 4:13-17
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.

Our Lord Jesus is returning here to earth to gather His Church. Those "asleep" saints are those in Christ that have already died. Paul says Jesus will bring those asleep saints with Him when He comes. That means He will bring them from Heaven once they are resurrected. So there's the first pointer here by Paul about the resurrection on the 'last day' of this world, not prior to the great trib.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

That KJV word "prevent" is actually the Greek word phthano and means 'to precede, or go beforehand' (Strong's no.5348). Paul is simply saying we who are still alive on earth will not 'precede' those asleep saints. Jesus brings those asleep saints with Him when He comes to get us who are still alive on earth, so clearly those asleep are resurrected and gathered to Him first when He descends to earth.

16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

There it is, "and the dead in Christ shall rise first:", which is about the 'asleep' saints that are resurrected first when Jesus brings them with Him at His coming. Notice the Scripture says Jesus shall descend from heaven there. He is coming in the clouds per Rev.1:7, and every eye shall see Him. He'll have the resurrected 'asleep' saints coming with Him from Heaven. These resurrected asleep saints is a HUGE... clue of what timing this is! This resurrection is to only occur on the last day of this present world! (see Acts 24:15 and John 5:28-29).

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
KJV

Then... those of us still alive on earth will be 'changed', like Apostle Paul taught in 1 Corinthians 15, as fast as the twinkling of an eye, and then immediately caught up to Jesus and them in the clouds. Not back into Heaven, but in the clouds with Jesus and them on His way to... the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem on earth.

Paul doesn't say here where Jesus is descending to with His saints. He really didn't need to, because the 'where' was already written in Zechariah 14 and revealed to the Apostles in Acts 1 by angels when He ascended into the clouds.

So there's what Apostle Paul actually taught in the 1 Thessalonians 4 chapter about the Church being gathered to Jesus at His coming. And because those 'asleep' saints are resurrected on that day, we know for sure... that is the LAST DAY of this world, and not a time before the great tribulation.

We are plainly told that those resurrected when Jesus Returns, are only those martyrs killed during the Great Tribulation. Revelation 20:4 is indisputable.
Jesus Returns for His Millennium reign, that will last for 1000 years. THEN comes the end when all the people who have ever lived, including those resurrected martyrs, will stand before God and provided their names are found in the Book of Life, they will receive immortality.
For those martyrs, the Promise is that their second death; of old age, has no power over them, as their names ARE in the BoL.

Your 2 scriptures refer to the Great white Throne Judgment, after the Millennium. Revelation 20:11-15

Tecarta Bibleyou haven’t reconciled this. Jack rabbit is taking you down his rabbit hole. You may already be to deep to find your way out. Seek Christ through some independent study. Try to forget what men have told you.

The last day?

Jesus' promise for those of His Church who overcome and keeps His works is to reign with Him over the nations with a rod of iron...

Rev 2:25-29
25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth My works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of My Father.

28 And I will give him the morning star.

29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
KJV

If a Christian isn't part of that group, then it means they didn't stay in Christ to the end. That time of reign is the 1,000 years after His return of Rev.20. And Rev.20:4 includes the OT witnesses too.

The one's 'taken'... are taken by the false-Messiah that comes to Jerusalem first working great signs and wonders. Our Lord Jesus warned us about that false one that comes first. That's where He pointed to where the dead "carcase" will have the fowls eating them...

Matt 24:28
28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
KJV

Luke 17:36-37
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
37 And they answered and said unto Him, "Where, Lord?" And He said unto them, "Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together."

KJV

If you want to be like that dead "carcase" taken by those fowls that will eat on you, then go to!! But don't say Jesus didn't warn you!

Those left behind are burnt to a crisp as the heavens pass away with a great noise as the elements melt with a fervent heat.

Forgive me, but...haven't these guys been blowing this trumpet (pun intended) for years and years now? I fully acknowledge Christ's return and long for it, but any guy who thinks he can put a ticket on it and whip people up for excitment or book sales...is not reading scripture correctly. Verses teaching us to be ever-ready and therefore not caught off guard or 'in the dark', is not the same as being "in the know" of the date or general timing. Especially when these 'amazing signs' they hang these warnings of theirs on, are signs that have been happening consistently for the last 2000 years.
This matters, because people who have been told for 20 years that Christ's coming is 'just around the corner, any second now, honest!' will loose expectation. No one can hold that level for that long....they will stop believing, or...many will. Christians who are taught to live faithfully with an eye always on the sky are able to maintain patience while never giving up the watch, so to speak. I would think that many of those men on your list would not wish to be the object who ultimately caused some to loose hope in the return of Christ. Their intent may be good, but they are erring in procedure.
They did not date set. They just get the information on the prophetic progression.

If you have a problem with this and you have a problem with Jesus and the apostles who said the time was near.

With 1000 years being a day to the Lord, then they said it two days ago. Meaning all the ministers referenced here spoke seconds ago.
